Yeah, I was assuming I needed to wait until after the enemy moved for my move.

Hey Seb, was thinking about your concerns about the power level for this game you had mentioned before and while I'm still not positive a straight level boost would actually help,
Using the rules for feats, ABP, the anti Christmas tree, etc from the Dark Sun game might give us enough of a solid increase in power, without needing to level us up a bunch.
In fact, that might not be a bad set of rules to implement for your all your games here on Paizo, like Rise.(Unsure what else you are running that might need such an assist.)

I thought the concern was mostly about Silvertail squishing, not about being too low-powered. Silvertail would be a *little* less squishy with those rules, but she'd mostly end up with even more casting breadth, which I don't think solves any perceived problems.

I don't want to rebuild this one right now since it's tertiary in terms of my efforts -- I want to finish this scenario, but I'm not going to make a bunch of new maps write fiction for it like some of my other games.
I'm planning on implementing some of those ideas in the Runelords game once we finish the first combat in lieu of leveling up.

silvertail having 80hp was indeed my major concern. Most appropriate monsters can one shot that.

Aye. It’s tough. I just crit the boss for 228 damage, and that doesn’t take into account the rest of the attacks. So our poor GM has to make enemies which can soak up insane amounts of damage without making foes which can kill us in one hit. A Herculean task to be sure.

Yeah, it's so much easier to improve offense than defense typically that even under normal circumstances, much less when you push the system beyond its normal bounds. That's part of why Starfinder divorced monster rules from character rules, to make it easier to balance PC offense vs. defense. At least, theoretically.

I hate to say it, but... if you can't run this game at the same time as your others, just drop it. Your time and creative energy are limited, and burning yourself out trying to juggle too many games at once is not any fun at all. Trust me, I've done it. If you believe that things are going to calm down in the Dark Sun game soon, then sure, just hold on until then... but it's easy to think there'll be more time for things later, but often it never comes true.
Anyway, you may already know this, but I've done the burnout thing before, so I feel like I should bring up that I'd understand if you just have to drop this game.

Hope everyone has a good 4th of July holiday in America, and if we have any players who live elsewhere, a good average thursday.
