I don't get it. So we're redoing the turn but the squares now count as 5'? Of we're just redoing the turn and that's that?

I don't get it. So we're redoing the turn but the squares now count as 5'? Of we're just redoing the turn and that's that?
No, the problem was that the ash cloud was not there when you and Viorr acted but was there when the Villain withdrew into it. Frank reduced it when he should have let me do that but now we've made it clear that only the DM should change battlefield conditions :-). I thought that may have changed EE and Viorr's actions. The squares are still 10' that has not changed. Viorr confirmed that he still would have tried to hit the withdrawing soldier despite the miss chance. I'll move forward today as if no change made just to get this show back n the road. Posts after I get back from the gym.

The Rose Quarry- - Twenty Eighth Day of Dravago
Human Claw Undead vs. Gauntlet - 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14 Damage 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
Dwarf moves towards Kana - HP= 2/20
Round 3
Electric Eye moves to the edge of the ash cloud to the left of the tree, waiting for the cloud to disperse before entering.
Viorr also charges to the edge of the ash cloud to attempt to strike the withdrawing soldier. His blades meet with no resistance though so it's fairly clear, the foe withdrew farther into the cloud than he first thought.
Kana moves to the corner to see if she can pick off anyone attempting to retreat out of the cloud. She sees no soldiers but she does see undead converging in between the buildings and slow walking to the one on her right. Her shot lands in the eye of one of the foes, appears to have once been a dwarf. It does not fall but it turns its baleful gaze towards you and starts to head in your direction!
There's no green insect on the board there Kana, I'll say you shoot at the one foe that you can see, one of the undead in between buildings. Everyone else has cover either from the smoke cloud or the buildings.
---
What was once three becomes two undead approaching. They attack. The one on Gauntlet, is a special one, one of the ones you fought before being defeated, it wields a rusty scimitar. Its sword schreeches on Gauntlet's hide but aside from scratches does no real damage.
The Dwarf attacks with glasslike claws. Its whole body is in fact covered in glass. It hits and Pink-Eye is scratched. Take 7 damage.
In the doorway appears a male dwarf he casts a spell at Pink-Eye. Pink-Eye, make a will save DC 14 or be effected by a Cause Fear spell. If you fail you are Frightened. If you succeed you are merely Shaken.
---
At that moment, the ash cloud blows out leaving Frank, Sharon, and Zabeth with a clear vision of just where the foes are still arrayed. Walking towards the south with purpose, an undead creatures has appeared on the field.
In the distance on the other side of the quarry, soldiers ally and run in your direction as well...
Round 3 -
Frank & Creatures, Sharon, & Zabeth - GO!
Group 2 (Dark Green)
Frank E.
I just realized that theres a wall between the Grig and the other fire, it would need to double move to get line of effect/sight, right? :s
As Aerin and her not-just-borrowed horses come running by, Frank decides to hitch a ride and find out what the heck she's up to.
Ride (Fast Mount) vs DC 20: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21
Managing not to embarrass himself, Frank very quickly jumps onto a passing horse. He also reloads his crossbow while shouting at Aerin "Where are we going?"
Frank:
5' step to move next to horse? xD
Free action: Fast Mount
Full Round Action: reload heavy crossbow with a normal bolt
.
Grig:
Double move to get LoS/LoE on the fire? I'm pretty sure...

Gauntlet would smile if his face could do it justice. Reaching out without a word, he activates the wand hidden in the buried sheath of his mechanical left arm...

The Grig heads towards the second fire as Frank mounts one of the horses.
Zabeth casts her spell, she can see her target's eyes turn towards his nearest ally and she knows that her spell has been successful. The last red soldier on the board.
Talia meanwhile hurls a via at another foe and though she misses, the vial still does damage, causing the man to cry out in pain and frustration.
Round 3 ENDS.

The New Group - Stealthy (Viorr, Dev, EE, Kana)
Meridian
The Balance of Leadership + Undead
The New Group - NOT so Stealthy (Frank & Creatures, Sharon, & Zabeth)
Group 2 (Dark Green)
Pink-Eye attempts to gore the undead but his horns glance off of its glass-like hide. Pink-Eye is at 10 HP BTW, I will assume he was at 1/2 of his HP due to the capture.
Gauntlet's strike sizzles the zombie but does not bring it down!

GM? My attack was a spell touch attack (shocking grasp) and gets a BONUS to hit with any enemy that has metal armor or weapons...
Fixed!
Aerin Aurora
Aerin nudged the horses with her knees, weaving them expertly between the two trees, the ruined building, and then turning them onto the road between the buildings, the narrow confines forcing the horses into a single-file line.
Ride: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19 Free action ride check. The Horses double move.
Once the lead horse was headed down the straight stretch of road, she gave it's reins a last whip to send them careening through the crowd.
Handle Animal: Push: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 26 Standard action, Handle Animal check (DC 25, success). Horses attempt to trample (overrun) the people in their path.
This was the part of her plan that made her both exited and nervous. She unslung her grapple, looped it's anchor knot around the saddle horn, hopped up to balance on the horse's back, and jumped.
Draw weapon (grappling hook) as part of Move action, and Move.
Acrobatics (balance): 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (13) + 10 = 23
Acrobatics (jump): 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (12) + 10 = 22
She twisted neatly like a cat, seeming to hang in the air as the horses charged forward beneath her. She landed on a horse near the middle of the pack.
Ride DC 10: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10 If needed, to make sure the horse I'm landing on doesn't spook

The Rose Quarry - Twenty Eighth Day of Dravago
Hearing and seeing the horses bear down upon them, the male dwarf and the female human duck into one of the buildings to allow the horses to rush by!
Aerin from her new vantage point can see that the prisoners are to her left while the foes entered the building to her left. The prisoners are harried by one undead each.
The lead horse bears down on one of the undead, one that was headed south anyhow. The undead dwarf is smashed and falls!

Garrow drinks a potion and turns invisible.
One of the soldiers drops his weapon and attempts to mount the speeding horse but it is too fast and he is merely knocked aside.
The next soldier retreats holding his weapon before him as his bow broke and charging three tough fighters alone he sees as unwise. Full Defense.
Anotehr soldier does take aim at the maximum range of his bow and fires at Viorr. The elf's armor absorbs the blow.
The Mounted fighter also fires but this time at Zabeth, "Die witch!" But his shot is awry.
The soldier that Zabeth commanded charges at the soldier that backed up and he swings his flail. But the defending soldiers armor holds, "Witch indeed, Gahk is possessed by magic!" yells out the soldier on the business end of the flail.

Dev Blake
Seeing the caravan is about to get some company, Dev takes the opportunity to remain focus, otherwise helping his eyes peeled for the prisoners...

Kana watches the stampede led by Aerin and is quite impressed.
She then takes a step back into cover, but not before firing at the halfling.

Electric Eye and Viorr makes short work of the next soldier who stands in their way.
Meanwhile Dev regains Psionic focus atop his Mount.
Kana sees the female human warrior approaching her and fires! Her shot catches the woman in the right shoulder deftly avoiding her shield.
The woman rushes Kana and swings her long sword in a wide arc but the blade catches the concrete of the building instead of Drow flesh.
Aerin catches out of the corner of her eye movement but is too focused on the location of the prisoners to register exactly what happens though the thud of her horse striking something is undeniable. Dev and Frank see a male dwarf fly out of the building, off balance, he is struck by Aerin's mount.
The dwarf takes a heavy hit from the horse and in spite of it, manages to re-enter the entrance way cursing, he draws his weapon, "I knew we should have killed you despite what Garrow said!"
The female meanwhile draws a wand and unloads it at Meridian smiling wickedly. Meridian takes 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5 damage.

Frank dismounts behind enemy lines while his summoned creature heads into the building. Frank, you may now check the Pink-Eye/Gauntlet spoilers and act as the Grig now.
Zabeth provides back-up to Viorr and Electric-Eye as a bomb from overhead stikes the enemy on the left dead on, he screams in pain as it explodes on him, the vial also splashes onto the horse and the rider! The rider barely holds onto the reigns.
Guards on the other side of the horses fire a volley at Viorr, Electric-Eye, and Zabeth. Only EE is struck though the shot hits him in the faceplate. Take 9 Damage.

I will use the actions posted by Meridian, Pink-Eye, and Gauntlet in my next post.
Aerin Aurora
From her new steed, Aerin looped the rope of her grappling hook around the saddle horn, so it was now anchored to the lead horse and to the one she now rode. Then she reached out with the grapple and hooked the bars of the prison...
GM, i'm going to leave the aftermath of this stunt up to you. I have no idea what to roll for "can a team of horses rip a prison door off?"
If this works, anyone in the prison who wants to jump onto a horse after the door comes off should be able to. There's a few horses behind me that will be running past the open door.
Gauntlet of Sharn
Horses and a door? I would suggest a Handle Animal check...at minimum. Maybe an engineering check might reduce the difficulty!
Aerin Aurora
Handle animal is to get animals to do things they wouldn't normally do. The horses are already running the right direction and don't know they're going to be suddenly hauling something. I can see a ride check being needed to avoid being throne or to keep the horses going after the initial jolt, but handle animal doesn't seem right.
GM the Dragon Below
Not sure if the map was not clear but there is no door on the building. It's wide open, the prisoners were held down because they were weaponless and in manacles. D you want to make a roll to throw the grappling hook and snatch one of the undead?
Aerin Aurora
Wow, that was not clear at all. I thought they were locked in. Well, then yeah, I'll snatch an Undead and provide the prisoners with a ride out of here. Instead of speeding up I'll slow down to give them time to mount easier.
"You fellas looking for a ride?" an attractive woman with white-gold hair called from horseback through the open door of the prison.
Gauntlet of Sharn
Wishing he could smile better, Gauntlet is already shaking his head at the woman's offer.
"You want me to ride that? Only if you want me to kill it by breaking its spine. I weight almost as much as the horse does. Unless that horse is magical or a dragon in disguise...or can you pull a wagon out of your pocket?"
He then turns to Pink-Eye.
"Go without me my friend. I will catch up. I had a potion somewhere..."
Gauntlet quickly attempts to break his foot chains...
Strength Check: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
...with little noticeable effect.
Frank E.
Well, I thought the ruined nature of the place implied that anything here (like the "prison") would be either a tent or make-shift at best...
Meridian Anterian
How difficult would it be to get past the people in the building I am in and make it through to where pink-eye and gauntlet are?
Gauntlet of Sharn
Gauntlet shakes his head, and would sound sad if he could.
"You are a good friend Pink-Eye. However, common sense must not fit inside horns too easily. GO! I will follow...and If I survive I will come find you."

ROUND 5
Aerin, Gauntlet, Pink-Eye, and Meridian
A woman's voice echoes into the ruined building, "You fellas looking for a ride?"
Aerin hears a few replies, "I need my equipment", replies a gravely voice.
Another, more monotone, clearly 'Forged, voice states, "You want me to ride that? Only if you want me to kill it by breaking its spine. I weight almost as much as the horse does. Unless that horse is magical or a dragon in disguise...or can you pull a wagon out of your pocket?"
"Go without me my friend. I will catch up. I had a potion somewhere..."
Pink-Eye smashes his undead foe in the face and the glass around its body shatters, showing the zombie like body within!
Gauntlet tries to break his chains once more to no avail.
The undead attack the cornered minotaur and warforged. Pink-Eye's foes once more fails to land a blow while Gauntlet's manages to scratch him this time around. Gauntlet, take 3 more damage post DR.
---
Pink-Eye, none of your gear is in this building.
Meridian, yes you can. The two foes would have an AOO but as a wizard and cleric are your foes, less likely they will bring you down with strikes.
---
Both soldiers on the side of Viorr and Electric Eye leap through the charging horses to move away from being trapped between the foes and the horses.
From over the horses, a volley of arrows flies at Zabeth, Viorr and Electric Eye. Out of the volley only one arrow lands into EEs arm. EE take 2 damage.

With the impossibility to reach any of the camp guardians through the wild horses, Big E decides to gain cover behind some of the ruins, thus avoiding further hits. He thinks he might hide there, with the possibility of ambushing anyone whio comes near when the stampede finally ends.
Stealth: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (17) + 9 = 26
Dev Blake
Dev keeps his head on a swivel, looking for the first opponent to come into view, whether it's that dwarf who ducked away or someone else. When they do show themselves, or when the horse pack moves such that he can see, he'll let loose a Surge Blast.

Dev's blast knocks the dwarf backwards into the building, if he is not dead, he is at least unconscious.
Dev and Aerin see a reptilian creature dash between the horses to the other side, after a flash of light, her magical blast incinerates the creature keeping the Minotaur pinned down.
Viorr and Electric Eye maneuver to avoid becoming permanent resting places for arrows.
Kana steps back and fires at the female fighter scoring yet another hit with her shortbow!
Big round for the PCs!
The warrior steps forward into Kana swinging her blade and she misses by only a hair.
Meanwhile, Gauntlet's foe steps in and lands a strike! The warforged becomes immediately inert at the hit. Gauntlet, take 6 damage and you are at -3 HP, disabled for now but as Pink-Eye and Meridian are there probably not for long.
