I know the lack of emoticons can make my posts a bit hard to decipher in tone, so for reference; I started this.
Icehawk333 wrote:Could the target be changed to just a ranged weapon instead? As is, I don't think I'd make it through one fight with any spell slots that level left.I'd cut the price down to 250 GP due to the similarity to an existing spell.
The spell'so target would become (a number of protectiles equal to your level)
Not "a ranged weapon"
But I could make the target "a quiver, and all ammunition contained within."

Works for me. It would be the same level? Lower? Higher?
Oh yeah, Fray can fly now. Forgot about that.

Merek Montague |

So I take it everyone gave up their gear and bodies to the swamp?
Chris grabbed his sword. Castell grabbed his armor. I grabbed my Favor, Bardiche, and backpack. Sarrissa grabbed Fray's body.
That's all I saw.

Anyone can say they grab as much as they can carry of whatever they wanna grab.
Zombies are kinda really slow, and they are in swamp sludge.
I would assume that (I can't remeber right now) grabbed his katana.

I looked back; Sarrissa grabbed almost everything she could. So did Edgar.

Merek Montague wrote:I looked back; Sarrissa grabbed almost everything she could. So did Edgar.I just grabbed my armor. Figured it was the only thing I could really use still, and I sure don't have the carrying capacity to pick up other things.
That's one of the reasons I offered. :)
The other was in case anyone wanted anything they forgot to pick up before the running started.

Zveris Pilvo |

Zveris's gem never left his hand.
He grabbed his belt(and therefore knife, spell component, and coin pouch) and his armor coat.
His coat won't fit, but it might fit someone. He has to wear his belt around his neck.
His clothes are destroyed and his shield is useless since he can use the arm for a second claw now.
The rest of his possesions are in his home.

It's not too bad, acutslly.
You can count as a quadruped when you want to, and your STR is 13.

Merek Montague |

How?
Also, what are the trog's racial stuff?

Wait, I can? I'm learning more about the Tavi all the time. Maybe Castell should start learning from them too.
EDIT:
Oh, also, noticed that I get Darkvision and +4 Stealth and extra +4 in rocky areas.
Wait, you can?

I don't see why not, with a body structue like a mongoose, you could easily drop to all fours and run like that.
It would disable your hands, of course.

Does the tavi get the racial skill modifiers?
Racial Modifiers +8 Acrobatics, +4 Bluff (to checks made to feint in combat), +8 Climb, -5 Diplomacy (vs. serpents), +8 Escape Artist, +4 Stealth.

Yep.
Didn't notice them, but yes.Acutslly helps put him closer to the rest of the group.

Just a quick correction, the bluff bonus is only against reptilians. But the rest would be, uh, nice? Lets go with nice.

Ah; you're using the monster. The Lizardfolk monster entry gets more abilities than the Lizardfolk race used here.
To note, we lose the +4 racial bonus to acrobatics, the ability to hold our breath for 4x con score, and our bite attack is weaker.
This is actually really common. Monster entries are more powerful than PC versions.

I totally get why you used it, Z; I had just thought that Ice made one up for you like he did with the Tavi.

icehawk333 |

I use the monster because there isn't a race for the troggy. :/
--------
We can be like Groot and Rocket. ^_^
Besides, you're the one that wants to bond. :P
I also think it's funny that my raccoon is bigger than you are when it wants to be...
About that.
That's a third level ability, and your wizard level for your bond is your level -3.

Merek Montague wrote:I totally get why you used it, Z; I had just thought that Ice made one up for you like he did with the Tavi.Actually the Tavi have an entry on the PFSRD.
I messed with the stats a bit-
Less harsh on int, but also toned back the DEX.

I dunno, I feel like the dex could have been left as is. I'm still gonna be no bugbear or trog, after all.[/proddingtheGM]
EDIT: Have I mentioned I love characters like Fray?
EDITSPAM: Is the racial bonus on stealth the +4 size bonus, or do they stack?

To be fair, I didn't expect people to roll both of those.
I also didn't expect 3/7 party members to be lizards.(I could put you up to +6 dex. -2 from normal, as i buffed the int by 2.)

Fray is a fantastic character.
Castell, look at the bonus type. If one is a race and the other a size, then they stack.

icehawk333 |

Ahebwkdwkwmdjwndjejwlsbfjwj.
I always forget about the stupid level difference.
I did just look it up, though, and it's only -2.
....
I'm imagining you smashing your face into your phone, over and over, then hitting enter and typing the rest.

Oh I don't actually want to be pushy about it. Up to you to stay as is or not, I have updates to do either way.

Merek Montague |

He fits the game well.
I only wish he had been a less human race...
I was considering trying to use him to be our town face to get equipment and commission armor - but with an attitude like his, human-looking or not, he'll be run out of town.
