@Gunnar: Before we continue in the combat:
1) I don't see how Gunnar can reach the last noble zombie. He's out of his reach. Unless I missed something, you don't have a 15' reach.
2) Your sheet says that you have the "Goblin Hewer" feat. Can you provide a link for this (I can't find it) or is it the "Goblin Cleaver" feat?
3) Nice job on clearing the path :)

1) Gunnar has a reach weapon paired with being large. I actually think that adds up to 20 foot reach but I'm not 100% sure. I did google it and checked out Rules Questions and that seemed to be the general consensus.
2) Yeah it's Goblin Cleaver and Orcc Hewer. Mixed that up I'll have to change it on my sheet...
3) First time I've tried this out and seems to work a charm :) I did get rather lucky on my rolls however...

1) I meant 20 feet. Indeed, I check on Paizo's prd and... you're right.
A typical Large character wielding a reach weapon of the appropriate size can attack a creature 15 or 20 feet away, but not adjacent creatures or creatures up to 10 feet away.
But that makes you unable to strike the first zombie who's 10 feet away from you.
I don't get why a large creature with reach does not threaten 10 feet but that wording is pretty clear.
Same reason why a medium creature with reach doesn't threaten right next to them. A large polearm is going to be pretty darn long-- long enough to hit things 15 or 20 feet away, but too long to hit things that are only 10 feet away with anything more dangerous than the actual pole (which, in game terms, doesn't even hurt).

So, as I've said earlier, I'm really enjoying this game. Even though it's been combat-heavy, I still felt like we have good RP chemistry (in addition to in combat synergy) for this group, and I like GM Zinou's style.
Zinou, I know you're running other games, but do you think sometime after this one concludes that you'd want to run another game with this group? I'd definitely be on board for that (and I'll be level 6 after this game, so that's cool too).
What do you guys think?

I'm truly honored, mbauers! I'm trying my best to make this scenario the best it can be, even though it's kind of railroaded and just a sequence of fights. :)
As to GMing the sequel, I'd be up for it, even though I haven't played it. But that must wait until the beginning of January, as I have an end-of-the-year convention in Geneva and would like some time to breathe after PBP Gameday IV.

Not sure I would join either. Glad to help out where I'm needed, but I much prefer playing this character at a table over PbP. (I still haven't even typed out his spells prepared, that's how little I use Vordrek online.)

Death touch! A deadly domain power from 3.5's death domain. As you were at 5 HP, it was a bit of overkill. But I judged that Gunnar was worth a better end than a lame swing of heavy pick. ;)
You may use a death touch once per day. Your death touch is a supernatural ability that produces a death effect. You must succeed on a melee touch attack against a living creature (using the rules for touch spells). When you touch, roll 1d6 per cleric level you possess. If the total at least equals the creature’s current hit points, it dies (no save).

Darn, so close! This is at least my eighth PbP Day game and I've yet to get a boon :-(. Although if they're like GenCon boons, I'm probably not missing much. Thanks GM!

Okay, folks. Here are the chronicles. Please check if everything's alright.
As I said earlier, I'd be interested to GM you "Among the Dead" where you could seek for revenge for your friend's death, however I won't be able to start it before January the 3rd, I'm afraid. If you're okay with that, I'll just change the thread's name and we'll begin the adventure again in January! :)

As much as I'm not a fan of Vordrek in PbP, it would be interesting to play through the next one with the same group... Maybe leave me in for now, and I'll decide how I feel about it next month.

The closest is the paladin I almost brought, who just turned 5. But I was more referring to the idea of Vordrek himself continuing to the next mission with the same people, having shared the experiences of fighting an undead dinosaur (which was pretty freaking cool!) and losing an ally (measurably less cool).

Just got a chance to look at my chronicle. GM Zinou, even though the game was Tier 6-7, Rolando is only level 5. Since there is no out of subtier amount because this is an earlier scenario, I believe you have to take the average of the tier 3-4 and 6-7. So I should only get 1,584 gp, not 2,132. Right? Would you mind sending me a corrected one? I don't want to cheat. :-)

I'm just waiting to see if Alex Mack aka Gunnar wants to come along with another character.
This scenario will be a little slower in pace than the one we played in November-December: my thesis calls for me xD
Expect from me a post rate of once per day, not greater.
