I need to update this character but would like to play. He will be a level 6.
Rolando! It will be nice to be on the receiving end of your bardic performances instead of having you lead the party through all my minions!

PFS #: 174784-1
Character Name: G'BOAR S. HULIGHAN
Day Job Roll: Craft (bows): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13
Faction: Grand Lodge
Initiative: +5
Perception: +6
G'Boar is level 1, but will play up to a higher tier if allowed... if outside of the realm of reality, I'm ok with being passed over.

PFS #: 37010-8
Character Name: Turan who walks the Steppe
Day Job Roll: Profession Farmer 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18
Faction: Grand Lodge
Initiative: 1d20+6
Perception: 1d20+9 (+3 on sight based checks)
Turan is at 2.2 he has a falcon familiar which I might use for scouting from time to time but otherwise all it does is provide some skill bonuses.

Awesome GM DD! Yeah, I'm level 5 now so I have a few more tricks up my sleeve. ;-)

Welcome everybody!
So to recapitulate, we have:
1) Rolando Pascal, Skald 5
2) Eladrian, Slayer 6
3) G'Boar S. Hulighan, Ranger 1
4) Turan who walks the Steppe, Inquisitor 2
We'll most likely run the game in subtier 3-4.
@G'Boar S. Hulighan: I don't wanna ruin your fun, you can play but you'll have a very hard time. I'd recommend you to either play a level 4 pregen or to not play.
We still have room for two more players!

![]() |

I take it that this one is pretty rough?
BTW, I am at work again today, but I should be updated either tonight, or by the latest, tomorrow evening. I have all the paperwork together just need to run the numbers and go shopping.

![]() |

Ok, then, we would have:
1) Rolando Pascal, Skald 5
2) Eladrian, Slayer 6
3) Mike Garlington aka G'Boar S. Hulighan, PREGEN 7
4) Gunnar Graubart, druid 6
with an APL of 6, playing in subtier 6-7.
@Eladrian: It is, if the party's unprepared. My group just ran over the scenario but I read that several groups had problems and some had TPKs...

![]() |

Ouch. From the name, it seems that there may be some amount of undead involved.. its a good thing that Eladrian has had a bit of experience with them! Like I said, I should be good to go by tomorrow night at the latest. I will let you know.
Eladrian walks over to the dwarf "Torag! It's good to see that you made it out of that Spire and back to civilized lands; well met!"

![]() |

The only thing that worries me is that the older scenarios don't have 4-player adjustments for the encounters. That scares me a bit. I'm up for a challenge, but do you think an APL 6 with only 4 players has a good chance to, well, not die? Maybe we could ask in the Flaxseed lodge for one more person willing to play a Level 7 pregen?

Are you okay to play a lvl 7 pregen? You could take Crowe as I know you're familiar with barbarians, and bloodragers are just a little different. Or Kyra, a cleric may be a good idea for this scenario.
@Everyone: It looks like nobody else's interested in playing with us. I'll bump the post in the flaxseed lodge tomorrow morning and we should start by tomorrow evening (GMT+2).

![]() |

As I said before, I read some reviews that said it really was. But I played it in subtier 3-4 and we killed the final boss before even he could say or do anything (party was two slayers, one blaster, one cleric and one oracle of life). But if you're good to go, I'd say we go. I'll write the mission's briefing and... begin the game!

![]() |

Well, I'm up for a challenge, but our APL is 5.75 and we only have 4 characters in a Tier 6-7. I don't know anything about this scenario, but it seems that would be tough (again, there's no 4 player adjustment in early scenarios).
Is it alright if we wait just a little longer and I try to get one more person on board?

One more would give us a good margin for error.

Let me see what I can do.. I have a couple of friends that may be interested in joining, but I dont know how full they are right now.

Great! Welcome, Slothsy. It would be perfect.
@Everyone: You can already check in the gameplay thread, if it's not already done. And if you didn't already write it, I'll need your:
PFS #:
Character Name:
Day Job Roll:
Faction:
Initiative:
Perception:
Also, I'll need your email to send you the possible boons you shall win at the end of the scenario. You can either write it here or give it to me via PM.

GM Zinou, a couple build/rules things about my character just to see how you weigh in on things.
1) Rolando reads from his Tome of Epics each morning when he wakes up. I can link that for you later if you'd like (gives a bonus to Perform (Sing) and Knowledge (Nobility)).
2) I fight using my flag as an improvised weapon. I am a Spell warrior skald who gives people magical weapons/weapon properties instead of allowing them to rage. Some DMs think that improvised weapons can't be enchanted at all, even in this manner. I disagree, clearly, but I wanted to get your thoughts on it and will accept your ruling.
3) When I use my weapon song, I grant my rage powers to people who accept the benefits of the song. It is ruled that Rolando can use rage powers "from another source", but that he can't grant those to others. I have selected Extra Rage Power Feat to gain the Superstitious rage power. Do you consider the Extra Rage Power Feat to be "from another source"? I ask because it is currently being flagged by many people as a FAQ, but there is no current ruling.
Sorry to throw all that at you pregame, but I thought better now than once we have started.

![]() |

Thank you, mbauers! I indeed prefer to about it before the game, than to be interrupted mid-fight.
1) Fair enough, no worries.
2) I know the spell warrior. And I'd say that your performance also affects your improvised weapon, since it also affects ammunition.
3) I'd say no. It's not "another source" since it's a skald rage power you can select normally. From another source would mean to me from a level in another class that grants rage powers.
All good, then. And your character seems pretty well-rounded, I'll happy to see him in action.

PFS #: 15764-4
Character Name: She Who Waits
Day Job Roll: None
Faction: Dark Archive
Initiative: +8 (+4 if seperated from The Young One)
Perception: +4 (+2 if seperated from The Young One)
This is Slothsy and I will be playing my Shoanti witch, She Who Waits. The dimensional occultist is an archetype that switches out hexes for dimensional augmentation, which allows me to increase casting time to rounds/level (so a level 1 spell will take 1 round to cast, and so on) in order to increase the spells' caster level by one. I literally have never used this ability, but figured I would mention that. I do not use any grey areas (I think?) with this character.

Forgot to do this.
PFS #: 1142-4
Character Name: Torean Spellbane
Day Job Roll: Craft Blacksmith: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25
Faction: Grand Lodge
Initiative: +3
Perception: +9
As far as anything special for him, Torean has Steel Soul and Glory of Old, so he gets a +5 to his saves vs. spells and spell-like abilities. He also has the Spellbreaker archetype, giving him additional bonuses vs. spells or spellcasters. That's basically his thing as an anti-mage combatant.

GM Zinou, just so you know it said I don't have permission to view the map. That might be intentional for now, but I thought I'd let you know in case it was accidental.
