Millorn
Rat x 2
Sarthonn
Caelus
Razul
Naravash
Red Stick
Morgrym
Party up.

Naravash's musings are lost in mid battle as his arrow strikes Millorn in the shoulder drawing blood and eliciting a heart wrenching wail form Millorn.

"Arghh....The evil ones have come to end my life. Tharqual, Lilian, Jaks....I have failed...."

Razul's strikes misses as Millorn rolls around in agony before regaining his feet and flys up twisting in midflight to avoid being swered by Red.....AOO from Sarthonn, Morgrym, Red and Razul I think. and begins to chant anew.

As acid splashes harmlessly against the rat, it nips forward only to be bowled over by the eagle that harries its heels, clawing deep gashes within. It attempts to bite Caelus.
Bite 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 191d4 ⇒ 3 Disease Fort Save DC 13

As Millorn starts a new incantation, Sarthonn uses the opening in his defenses to attempt an attack. AoO: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18 damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10 miss chance: 1d100 ⇒ 18 That looks to me like Sarthonn would have landed a solid blow but concealment caused a miss?

Turning his attention back to the task at hand, Sarthonn continues to swat at the rats. Smash with Morningstar: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16 damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9

Millorn
Sarthonn
Caelus
Razul
Naravash
Red Stick
Morgrym
Party up.

Caleus feels slightly underwater as the bite seems to have transmitted something to him.

Morgrym's swing hits air as Millorn rises up, Sarthonn's swing is fouled by the afterimage as Millorn's flickering tricks his eyes causing him to misjudged his swing though the backswing splatters a rat, ending its life as it dissolves into the ethers.

Razul's strike is deadly as he shores off an arm from Millorn, who stares in disbelief as he rises up into the air missing an arm. Seeing Redstick end the life of the last rat.

Millorn flees!!!! Heading towards a hole in the ceiling.
"Alvin, Simon, Theodore.....I'm sorry.....Millorn will ahve you back as good as new....."

No chance of a shot with a bow before he disappears? If there is time:

Sarthonn drops his mace free action and draws his shortbow move action. He takes a shot at the dwarf as he floats to the top of the cavern.

Bow attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
concealment: 1d100 ⇒ 87

In either case, Sarthonn's shot goes far wide of the dwarf. Arrow recovery, 2 is successful: 1d2 ⇒ 2. After collecting his morningstar, Sarthonn walks over to the other side of the cave and picks up his arrow.

Male Human (Sarkorin Kellid) Summoner 3, AC 14/10/14, Hp 21/21, Init +0, Frt+1,Rfx+0,Wil+4

Caelus stares after the dwarf, his face showing his puzzlement and frustration.

"What a peculiar person..." he mutters, then turns and gestures, dismissing the eagle.

"Let me take a minute to call Oynar back, please."

If the group can pause, Caelus will recall the eidolon.

Naravash draws his bow and levels a shot at the amputee dwarf, but in the end doesn't take it. Shaking his head, he relaxes his bow and looks to the others, "I wonder if that's what we'll turn into if we remain trapped down here. Well, I mean 'crazy', not 'dwarves'."

Keeping his bow still drawn, Naravash turns to the other survivors who wisely took cover, "Horgus? Aravashnial? Anevia? Are you all alright?"

The tunnel continues along a mostly southeastern course for about 1,400 feet ( just over 18 minutes of walking at a speed of 15 feet) before reaching a circular cavern.
Lann holds up a hand in signal to stop as he turns towards you.
"Up ahead is a 'Spore Cougher'. This is its den and thus its hunting grounds. Maybe you can kill it but maybe if we're lucky it's out hunting already." before turning and moving onwards deeper.

DC 15 Knowledge (dungeoneering or nature)::

Lann’s description of the deadly fungus as that of a basidirond.

The tunnel opens into a circular cavern, roughly forty feet in diameter. Thick sheets of fungus grow in the cave, and several tunnels branch off. All of these save one in the north wall lead downward; the northern one leads upward. What appear to be two dead bodies lie on the ground in the middle of the cave, next to a strange heap of ropy green fungus.

Naravash waits for Caelus to recall Oynar, "Welcome back, uh- Oynar. Ready to press on?" As he turns to head on and take up a position as a forward scout again, his gaze follows Red Stick's up to the shaft in the ceiling. He catches the half orc's eye, indicates Anevia and her broken leg with a subtle jerk of his head, then turns to the passage ahead. "Even if we could reach it, friend, I think we'll need to find a way to walk out rather than climb out."

As the realization dawns on him that there is an extra shadow amongst their number, Naravash spins around with a start, his bow drawn in a flash.

"We've more shadows than bodies, friends. Something lurks amongst us!"

Sovereign Court

Chronicle Sheets GM Busy At Work........

The tenth Shadow seems bigger as a Scream emerges from an enlarged dwarf hurtling down with a large engorged dagger screaming all the way down. His point of impact would be a large amount as his eyes speak of complete insanity.

"For all the deaths that you have caused. Behold my BODY slam!!!!!"

Disaster averted, Red Stick looks all over the gore left painting everywhere. Regarding an exposed cracked rib, he remarks wryly, "Hey, look, free marrow."

He looks up to see Morgrym. Sheepishly, he adds, "Sorry, that was inappropriate."

Naravash hauls himself up from the cold stone ground, thankful to have avoided the enlarged dwarf's suicidal dive. He shakes his head as he regards the scene and cringes at Red Stick's attempt at humor, but doesn't say anything. Sighing then, he looks at Razul and holds the elf's gaze. "What's wrong with the city? Demons rampage across the face of her as maniacs run amok beneath her. What else could be wrong with her?" He turns to Sarthonn as he pulls himself up, and then looks over the whole of the group, "Are you alright, Sarthonn? Anyone else? Nobody got hurt, right?"

Looking at Red Stick Morgrym says, Its alright lad, hopefully he be in a place where he's happy with his rat friends.

Once again, the gore-covered Eidolon glares rather balefully at his summoner, then pads a few yards away from the group to shake herself vigorously, spraying bits of insane dwarf rom her hide.

As she stalks back over to Caelus, the young kellid has just shaken off the shock at the bizzare turn of events, and begun to wipe his face.

"What now?" ask Oynar's odd, piping voices.

retired

"I think we keep moving forward, errr- Oynar." It's obvious Naravash is still adjusting to addressing the eidolon directly. Glancing once more at the messy remains of the insane dwarf, Naravash shakes his head and returns to his position as scout, his bow at the ready.

"This way." He gives Red Stick a nod and then melts into the blackness beyond the group's light along side the half-orc.

The campsite has obviously seen some use and its contents less than remarkable.

Millorn’s meager gear is gathered near his camp, consisting of a ratty bedroll, a small pack filled with dried meat, preserved fruit, and some moldy cheese (6 days of rations), and a chipped 6-inch-tall marble statuette of a humanoid throwing a spear.

There is nothing more of value to be found and only Horgus's complaints of having scrapped his knees echo but he quells on having someone glare at him.

The next part has no map.

What expires next seems to be a series of jagged underground cliffs, as the tunnel now seems to turn upwards.

The edges while affording good footholds, are sharp and looks likely to cut into unprotected hands if not careful.

Horgus takes a look at its rather daunting height. all 80 feet of it.
"I can't climb that!!!" He says in a rather flabbergasted manner.

Naravash lashes the two lengths of rope together and looks back up the shaft again and frowns. Scratching his head, he turns around and walks up to the blind elf beside Caelus and explains the situation to him. "Aravashnial? We've come to a bit of an obstacle. The shaft ahead of us turns upwards and seems to rise several stories, at least from what we can tell with our meager light. The walls seems rough and jagged, enough so to draw blood if any of us lose our grip. How would you recommend we scale the wall? I can only think someone would have to climb up with one length of rope and hopefully find a spot to tie off to up top so the rest of us could use the rope."
