Make any reasonable deal and the lunar church will honour it. 10 gp would be a generous price for a week's work for a skilled mercenary, with the church covering expenses - plus, of course, a share of any loot.
If that doesn't sway things, the churches - unlike all but the most generous nobles - sometimes offer medical care and pensions in case of debilitation. Bear in mind that nobles, and, in principle, the churches, can conscript ponies at need, so they're not forced to pay more than a peasants meagre wages... a shiny silver piece a week, if the peasant-pony is lucky, and no assistance for her or her family if she's maimed or slain.
Out of character, whatever is paid to Shubshi will be pulled out of the treasure coming the party's way, so it will make no practical difference - merely for RP purposes.
I'm also abstracting the party's living expenses under normal circumstances, as paid for by your various sponsoring organisations - e.g, lunar church, noble family - or expecting that party members like Shubshi will be retained by those who have such backing.
