Here is the profile for Azeri
The large Bear like creature that stood nearby, stacking boxes and helping out with the preparations, turned and regarded the boy. He frowned, resting one hand on his hip and gesturing towards him. "Aye lad, it will be. But shouldn't you be working? We need to get all of this done before the Festival starts!" He shook his head and turned back to his work.
'The Cub... Always getting distracted!'
I think they are both complete. If I am missing something, I can't see it.

Hi, I'm John and am submitting Cleo as a potential. I've never done a play by post with anyone I didn't know so this would be a new experience. I've been playing for a long time though, also am familiar with rise of the runelords up to the start of the second chapter. Lastly I'm a horrible speller, so please forgive me utterly failed attempts at times.
Application other then stats (which are included in profile)
Death is part of roleplaying and is always a potential. So don't mind. Also I'd be fine with starting later.

Yeah but you only added 4 and took away 2 in the first equation so why would you take away two then add 5 instead of 4 in the second equation? Just to make the numbers not match? Explain your process is what I mean.
Okay it's how point buy works, it depends strongly on where you start.
10 to 11 one point, 11 to 12 one point, 12 to 13 one point, 13 to 14 two points. 10 to 14 five points. Minus 2 = 12. Racial modifiers are not part of point buy they just give a flat bonus penalty to the stat after the point buy.
-edit- if that isn't clear tell me and I'll explain the whole thing top to bottom.

it's not a matter of where it went wrong, it's a matter of how my f'ed up one works when (kinda) starting with the negs and bonuses. I apply them first, but knowing where I want to go and being somewhat intelligent, I start at ten and count up to -2 or +2 of where I want to be, bam, overly complicated but working stat generation.
Treasure fox, almost done, and will link when I am, but the rules for young characters suggest only 1 trait because they don't have as much background, what's your preference?
Korak The Boisterous |
Good luck on your vigilante game Corsario.
Just need your ruling on traits but other than that here's the crunch.

hmm, good point
Edit: Okay final version should be up in a few minutes once I figure out why it's being weird.
maria is 12 and arrived in Sandpoint a few days ago, thanks to the Swallowtail festival her attempts to reinvent herself as an entertainer are going well. The locals have somewhat accepted her, she snuck her way from caravan to caravan sneaking out for food and such at night before arriving here. As she ran from her past and considered what to do she bought accoutrements appropriate to being an entertainer and depending upon flow of game will multiclass into bard or VMC into bard. Okay, link above is finished version.

Ah, so you put the age adjustments in too early and forgot about them when adjusting Maria to be the Maria you want. Makes sense, and probably a very very common mistake.
Not that it means anything but for some reason your character sheet generator thing there lists precocious youth twice in feats & special abilities.

That was my intent behind Alexander. Big immovable object. As we level, his offensive prowess will fall off a little bit, but surprisingly, it isn't too terribly bad at the moment.
Just so you know that it's a fallacy that all you need is defense to be a tank. Enemies need to feel that you are threatening in order to care enough to deal with you first. If not they just go past you and aim for the squishies.

As I said though, I got enough offense right now to get them to focus on me. I didn't say he wouldn't be offensive at all, just he's not going to be the guy to walk in and slay the enemies without his allies there.

Precocious youth is a feat that can be taken multiple times, it removes negs from being a young character and once they age into adult can be swapped for either iron will great fortitude or lightning reflexes. And I didn't forget to take the age adjustments into account, I just f$*+ed up somewhere while doing it.
Ral'Zek Firebrand |
Character Death: I like the idea that it is a possibility. This keeps players actions in check and in character. I feel if there is a real possibility of death then we will have to consider our actions much more carefully.
Joining Later: I am interested in joining the initial group however I wouldn't be opposed to joining later.
Maps and Combat: I prefer Theater of the mind, but i can use whatever the group decides.
Character's Life so Far: Ral’Zek grew up on the streets, not fully fitting in anywhere. Orphaned at a young age after a terrible house fire (that as a child he accidentally set), he quickly realized that to survive he may have to do some rather unsavory things.
Eventually falling in with the wrong crowd, he became a “gun for hire”. Offering his services to any of the gangs that could afford his explosive power. Always making sure though to make it clear to his clients that he would never use his talents against non gang related people, thus sparing other children of the fate that he had unwittingly chosen.
This Drew the attention of various pirate groups and brought in some decent coin. His unwillingness to attack merchant vessels quickly became a sore spot in his new clients and his eagerness to blow away pirate ships rubbed of his crew mates the wrong way. Leaving, before his companions realized how much he looked down on them. Now, coming into his own as a man Ral is off to find the source of his powers. An explanation to his talents that have also served as his curse.
Posting Expectation: I can easily post multiple times per day.

Hmm word casting eh? Is the GM okay with that? It's not considered part of the core rules.

Hogeyhead, why are you auditing everybody else's characters? You pointed out my mistake yes, but you started to one guy about the fallacy of him needing defense to be a tank, You're now on this guy about whether or not he can use wordcasting, which is ONLY the job of the GM. You're offering unwarranted suggestions on the Kobold's character and talking about how he's going to die.
If nobody else has a problem with him I'm sorry for dragging you into this, it's just getting a bit annoying to me.
