Hmm... I'm thinking about adding a rule along the lines of "players must post within two days while in combat or their turn is skipped, unless prior notice is given", just to be sure one person's absence doesn't slow us down too much. ^^ What do the rest of you think?

Sounds Fair, or you can auto bot them. Make them repeat last action or protect the rear

Yeah I thought it was funny: with exploration there was 1-2 posts a day. Orcs show up and it's a flurry if posts. Elves show up and it slows down.

We might want to PM our lagging friend. He was posting in another thread yesterday but may have just missed us to to time.

Incidentally, the second save for Thackery takes place a minute after the first, and I wouldn't say it's been that long yet... and the +4 competence bonus from a successful heal check to cure poison (DC 13) on his second roll would be sufficient to let him overcome it and not sleep for hours.

Just thought I'd point that out.

Because we are waiting to see the result to see if he is indeed stuck unconscious for multiple hours. After that I think we can move on. I doubt we are really going to go through the door but we will be continuing on.

I'd just like to note now that you do not want to wait four hours for Thackery to wake up and that waking him will solve many problems for you. XD If you CAN attempt it, you should try. If everybody's done/not going to try, you should state that now, and we'll move on.

I tried, I thought our healer would but I am unsure if we even have one. If no one posts by tomorrow I will push on.

Figured best to discuss this over here:

Thack hasn't technically been poisoned, he's been knocked unconscious. Granted, from a poison, but one that does not deal any sort of ability damage.

Would not the normal means to revive an unconscious person be sufficient to wake him?


That would work for normal unconsciousness, but I figure poison is an enforced unconsciousness, and wears off naturally over time, when saves are made, or when properly treated (such as with an antidote).

That said, I'm willing to give Phaenox a +4 circumstance bonus on this check and future checks to heal this type of poison (if he wants to make them). It is, after all, Drow sleeping poison, and he'd presumably know more about treating it than others would.

I'm still here too but haven't had any time to do anything gaming-related. My wife and I recently discovered she has a serious health condition, and we're sorting out how best to take care of her. Sooo, I know its 4th of July Weekend for everyone in America, but did we kind of peter out? I'm intrigued in this game even though by comparison to everyone else's characters I feel like mines pretty cheesy...


Well, posting does seem to be fairly slow in general. ^^; Large groups seem to have that happen a lot... it might be worth trying this with a smaller group instead?

Who still wants to play and is willing to commit to posting at least once a day on most days of the week?

I know I haven't been posting much, but life's been crazy lately. Things are settling down, and I should be able to post 1/day pretty consistently. I have noticed that dungeon crawl PbPs tend to run slow as (except for the scout/trapfinder) there isn't much need for posted actions until combat starts.

Anyway, if you're wanting to change things up a bit, I'm in. It's rare to get an opportunity to play a Gestalt character. :-)

I am definitely still in. When I get trap finder the constant posting looking for traps can "stop" Because then I get the auto check. That should help speed things along.

You could also assume she's constantly taking 10 (or20) to further spurred things up. When she gets Trap Spotter, you add the extra roll. I've been in a different dungeon crawl PbP since January (5 person party), and posting trends to lag whenever there's nothing particularly exciting happening. If we get attached by a wandering monster, posting's fast and furious. If we're faced with a featureless corridor and an empty room, people sit around and wait for the scout/party leader to decide how to proceed.

So, its kind of funny to me, but I think I may have devolved into Asimi's cohort. I'm carrying all her stuff, lifted a heavy door for her, and I'm about to heal her. Does anyone else need healed btw?

And don't worry, I'm not complaining, I just think its funny to play the dopey, chauvinistic man-child.

Now if Asimi only realized it. She just think its practical. You are big and strong so you can carry her stuff as she makes sure the way is clear for you guys.

I was moving to a new country and into a new home. But I am for the most part "settled" again.

Im good with still playing if others are. We can possibly recruit others. But yeah, I think a smaller group does work better for this type of scenario.

I'm still good for cutting things up. Had a flash flood near home that knocked my internet access out, but its up an running. If you do end up downsizing though, I'd deffer to the other 3 (assuming thats how small you want it) just because they seem to have posted more frequently and I dont want to slow people down.
