Bastion takes a 5' step straight south then casts Prayer. No save, and all creatures within a 40' radius are effected with the following:
You and each of your allies gain a +1 luck bonus on attack rolls, weapon damage rolls, saves, and skill checks, while each of your foes takes a –1 penalty on such rolls.

Fantora takes another quick step to the side and unleashes another volley of arrows at the bears.
5 foot step to the west to have an unimpeded shot from my NW corner, then full attack. I'll target the bear I hit last round if Grelldar didn't take it down with his bomb. Once that one's down then the one with the purple dot on it is the next target.

Grelldar of Oenopion |

"Two questions gentlemen. First anybody ever heard of bears running in packs before? (Can someone make a K nature check? Grelldar doesn't have the skill, but bears don't normally come in packs, real world...) Second, does anyone know if there is value to be harvested from these critters? (Are we using the trophy rules from Wilderness adventures?)

*Bastion |

"I don't know the answer to your first question, but as to your second question, it takes time and equipment to properly tan hides and smoke meat; I don't believe anyone is carrying that much salt, either."

Sorek |

That's a whole lotta bear! I think that'd take quite some time to tan and smoke it. I'm no Druid or Ranger, but no, I've never heard of bears in packs. Mothers and cubs yes. Bears in packs, No. Probably best if we continued to Rappan. Strange things can happen out here on the road

Fantora Ossman |

Through a supreme force of will Fantora avoids making bears puns and instead nods at Sorek. "We should get your wounds tended, but then continuing on sounds good."

Sorek |

Sorek looks over his own wounds...Oh yeah, that one did have a nasty bite. Bastion could you patch me up a bit before we get back on the road? unsure if anyone else needs healing

Grelldar of Oenopion |

"I was thinking more that I've heard tales of folks using bear gall bladders in their traditional medicine than skins and hides..."
Poaching has been a thing up here in Canada.

Baltor |

”Meh. Yeah, I guess a swarm of bears is pretty damn weird alright. If they disappear then we know they were summoned. If they don’t, then maybe someone controlled them? Anyway, they are gone now. Unless you want to track the one that fled?”

*Bastion |

"It's not funny." remarks Bastion without looking at Lars; his eyes instead scan the environment, looking for hidden dangers.

Baltor |

”What? Beer is food, ale is literally liquid bread, without porters barrels would not be recycled, and a good stout is powerful medicine for the soul.”

Grelldar of Oenopion |

The next two days pass uneventfully.
"So here we are, outside the infamous Dungeon of Graves... Doesn't look like that much. Sorek, you've been here before, how did you guys get in last time?"

Baltor |

”Never underestimate this place, there are single beings near the surface that can wipe out an entire troop of Paladins. Make peace with your gods or ancestors and never faulter or you will join the evil horde below.”
The dwarf says with grim reverence.
”Sorek is a good leader, he has found his way in and out many a time and he rescued me when I was the last of my expedition. You can trust his judgement. He points! I punch!”

Sorek |

This post is assuming we are outside of RA near the entrance....@brvheart if we're still aways away from RA and you have more wilderness encounters in mind please ignore this post
Sorek points to the Mausoleum in the distance. It's too far away to see if the Gargoyles have re-formed on the roof. We'll have to see once we get closer. On our first foray here the gargoyles on the roof animated and attacked. Who knows...maybe the evil magic of the place has regenerated its guardians...if so be ready. Regardless, the entrance we found to Rappan is inside the mausoleum
Sorek will lead the group toward the mausoleum Be careful Lom...they tried to fly away with you last time if I recall correctly

Grelldar of Oenopion |

Sorek, it's been a couple of days, you're probably at full HP.
[b]"Talk to me about what the timeline is here - do we go in absolutely loaded for bear, and hole up as soon as the buffs are done? Also, do we have a planned objective for this little jaunt, or are we going in blind?"[b]
