OK - so wait until Friday, June 17, and then beg for a new GM? I would offer to do it, but I am brand new to the game. Stupid question: when this happens, do new GM's continue the storyline, or do they have their own adventure?
I can try to run either 'Kingmaker' or 'Skull & shackles' If you are interested?
I could be interested in either, if Rifts Guy doesn't show back up. I would want to rebuild my character though, as Yab is definitely built with underground adventuring in mind (for that reason, I'm really hoping that Rifts Guy does resurface; I'm excited to play with some of the otherwise suboptimal choices I've made for him).
If I rebuild for a new game, I'll probably work up a cleric or inquisitor to fill our CLW gap. ;)
OK, having run Skull & shackles for a group before I'll tentatively put it up as our new game.
You can rework your current character, or make a new one.
This is to give you a couple of days to think about your characters.
Character creation:
25pt buy.
No Occult or 3PP.
2 traits, one from S&S.
Give me a line or two to show your new background.
Some hints, a Cleric or Oracle is really necessary.
A point in profession Sailor is good, a point in swim could save your life.
Heavy armor is not your friend.
Skull & shackles is tough, and rewards good roleplaying, cunning and charm. But don't forget the muscle.
Five is a good number, I can take one more if you know someone who wants to join.
(This is "Varkas") - I would like to be a cleric, if that's OK with the rest of you. I'm sure it's getting tiresome with me being tentative because of my lack of experience, and so I appreciate your patience! I think a naval adventure would be awesome.
Since the Michigan fan will be running a cleric, I'll go ahead and make another monk build. But not an oread; if heavy armor isn't good, then a body of elemental earth is probably pretty bad, too. ;)
I will rebuild as a half-elven Wizard won't have it done until late Friday early saturday. Looking at the traits Ancient Explorer is a pretty good for my character.
Does anyone use Hero Lab or recommend another character development tool? If you use Hero Lab, should I get the rulebook path, class path, add-ons? Which supplements would be most effective for S&S?
