Sargon steps up to the pillar and places the key within the keyhole. Everybody watches him, prepared, waiting, at different degrees of anxiety.

He turns the key, right round, and the three statues in the corners of the room suddenly stir to life even as a small, secret compartment in the pillar opens.

The statues shift, dust falling from their limbs and shoulders, and their heads sight on the adventurer's in the room. As one they slowly move toward the intruders, massive hands curling into fists.

Don't forget to add the +3 from Inspire Courage to both attack rolls and damage rolls everyone.

Rey takes a step forward 5' Step into the open square in front of her so she can get line of sight to the bird headed statue that T'wich is fighting. and casts blindness on the living statue, praying to Shelyn that the statues have sight-based senses. Since Rey has the feat Harmonic Spell she does not use up any rounds of bardic performance to continue playing her Inspire Courage (by my tally she's only used 5 of her 50 rounds thus far) as a free action this round. The spell has a DC 19 fortitude save to negate effects, and it is affected by spell resistance.

Damnit! Yeah, I wondered about that. How about we just replace the Blindness with grease located in the corner the hawk headed statue is standing in. If that requires Rey to move out into the room a bit more to get the line of sight she needs, I'm okay with that. I believe the DC of the reflex save to stay standing is 18.

The room explodes into violence.

Both Gauthier's and Omar's hands blur as they unleash a storm of arrows against their foes, causing a shower of stone chips to fly into the air and driving a storm of cracks through the golem's bodies.

Rey summons a patch of grease beneath the eagle-headed golem's feet, but it stands firm.

Sargon calls out his fell invocation, and suddenly a massive pit yawns beneath the wolf-headed golem's feet. It falls without a cry, its fingers carving furrows in the pit's sides as it drops, until it impacts with a resounding KA-THOOM into the acid below.

Omar, standing on the edge of the wickedly sloped pit mouth, almost falls in after the golem, but his adroit footing saves him and he steps safely away from the pit.

T'wich and Dragox step forth into the fray, their blades cutting through the air, but each finds that the golem's stony hide blunts a chunk of their damage. Dragox's final blow is the only one that strikes, while T'wich hits twice.

Both golems lash out at them with their blunt fists, each blow terrible in its strength. Both of their mirror doubles are destroyed, and then a second blow crashes into their own bodies. The blow to Dragox catches him square in the face, causing him for a moment to almost blank out before recovering his balance. 26 damage to T'wich, 66 to Dragox.

The cat-headed golem is riven by Dragox's blows, as he thunders his blade into it again and again. Cracks widen, grow terrible, and then an arm crashes to the floor, followed by a section of torso. Omar sends two arrows right into its head, nearly shattering its cat visage altogether. Given terrible speed by Sargos, the paladin lays in with all his might, and gives a mighty roar as the golem finally shatters into massive chunks and collapses, destroyed, on the tomb floor.

Meanwhile T'wich and Gauthier focus their fury on the other golem, but this time Omar's aim is off; the room is too crowded, and so only two of his arrows punch home, driving great shards of rock from the golem's chest.

T'wich fares better, focusing on his adamantine blade which overcomes the golem's inherent hardness, and deals one mighty blow that causes a terrible fissure to run down the center of the golem's head. For a moment it looks like it might split the creature in two - but then it holds.

In the terrible manner of all golems, it ignores its wounds and slams a fist into T'wich, catching him in the ribs with enough force to shatter stone. T'wich takes 33 damage.

Down at the bottom of the pit, the third golem continues to climb with implacable determination.
