Aasimar do not have an adjustment, though they are considered one of the most powerful base races.

Alright, guys, save for some mundane goods I'm planning on buying, I think I'm done building my sorcerer. Let me know what you all think.

Here's the link.

I have made a version of the ancient silver dragon without any templates or class levels.

Ancient Silver Dragon 2

Alright, it looks like Aasimar it will be. I'm working on him now and hope to have a link to my character sheet soon. Anyone have a problem with Myth Weaver?

None at all. I am in a game on Myth Weavers currently. I love their character sheets.

Yar!

It almost seems like I'm the only one going for a non-monstrous/core race. I'm actually fine with this, especially being a Dinosaur rising halfling cavalier with a wolf riding whip master bard as my cohort via leadership. I think I'll be able to manage just fine amongst the "beasts" (if I get in, of course. I'm working 13 hour days today and tomorrow, but I'll see about getting my guy finished ASAP).

LEADERSHIP QUESTION! Cohort stats? Heroic NPC? Also, NPC wealth for the cohort (and no one gets to tough his gear but him), or outfitted out of my own wealth? (kinda dreading splitting my wealth 4 ways, cohort and two mounts, but it can be done).

Here's my best pass at a non-templated fallen angel striving to recapture his role among the celestial host. He was a solder angel. His pride was his downfall. His wings got clipped, leaving horrible scars on his back, him stuck in his mortal guise, and a shattered flaming greatsword as his only relic from his previous stature. He has had a long road to redemption… and seeks it still.

Thoughts?

You are correct. I have not purchased any gear at this point. Just the crunch for the race and spells.

I think that I'm going to fill in a few low points with some more manuals. Don't want to drag behind people. Plus, I still have some gold to spend.

My eidolon is actually going to be an enormous six legged dog with five tails and Horns. four of his tails are actually arms though.

I just spent over an hour trying to get everything set up like Vixen or Eben had for their characters.

Then the profile shut down on me for no reason and everything was lost.

Does anyone mind if I just keep all my information for Jacob on dndsheets and weep openly in the corner?

I was going to mention this in the first post but it looks like I completely forgot to!

I was going to suggest asking the GM if it would be alright if you could combine a bookplate of recall with a few select pieces of your gear. It would allow you to recall your important equipment when you switch bodies once a day and would be a good way to do it, just dont go overboard and put it in every single piece of equipment... My other Lvl 20 alchemist put it in his Eye of Nymeth, basically a portion of his god in physical form.

Eye of Nymeth:
When Nymeth Vaar visited Sparky and bestowed opon him purpose he also gave him a gift, reaching into his empty helmet he withdrew a portion of his own essence, a swirling black cloud of malice and maddness. Shaping and condensing it into a perfect sphere of frigile looking glass, a single pupil formed within. Through this Nymeth Varr watches the world and through this the power of the Nemisis even onto Himself is channeled into the mortal world. Wherever its gaze falls, maddness erupts, envious urges turn friend to foe and sanity itself is robbed from the minds of those its terrible gaze falls opon. Yet even in this world it needs puppets, allowing those it deems worthy to stare deep into its very being, granting them a portion of its power, providing that they can survive the incounter with their wits intact...
Of the things it sees, it relishes the sight of martial mastery and bestows those who please it with its blessing, of particular note is Rorge, a beast of chaotic influence that it wishes to bend to its influence and become its next Harbinger. Sparky had best watch his back for is not his patron named the Betrayer Betrayed? Could he have any chance now that his mind has been so corupted? All Sparky knows is that he had better apppease his master or else he just might find his own blade thrust through his own heart...

This dark green orb looks like it is covered in oil and constantly shifts colour in the light. A deep Red and soulless pupil stares out at the world, watching and waiting. The holder of the Eye is constantly protected by an entropic shield. the Eye has the following powers.
1/day: The Eye can be commanded to cast dispel magic. If the dispel check succeeds, the holder absorbs the unraveled magical energy through the orb and gains the benefit of an aid spell.
1/day: The Eye can project its essence outward in a 30ft cone or a 15ft sphere. Each creature subject to the gaze must make a DC 16 Will save; success means the creature is shaken for 1 minute, failure means it becomes frightened for 1 minute and takes 1d6 points of Wisdom damage. This is a mind-affecting fear effect.
1/day: An attuned creature can call out to the Eye to summon it as if using instant summons. To become attuned to the Eye you must stare into it for an hour while whispering to it and listening to it whisper back. Only one creature can be attuned to the Eye at a time.

1 Charge: lesser confusion

1 Charge: magic circle against law

2 Charges: chaos hammer

The Eye can hold up to 10 charges and automatically regains 1d3-1 charges every day.

The Eye of Nymeth has the following 2 special purpose powers.
Modify Memory at will, DC 19 Will
Envious Urge at will, DC 19 Will

Lastly the iris in the middle of the Eye is a permanent Symbol of Insanity that triggers if anyone looks closely at it. Since attuning to the Eye requires you to look into it this also triggers it but once attuned, you are immune to the symbol. Being an intelligent item the Eye has more control over the rune and can study and memorize a creature for 10 minutes to render it unaffected as well. If this time gets interrupted, it must start over and can only have a maximum of 10 creatures immune at a time.

Any non-chaotic creature that so much as holds the Eye of Nymeth gains 3 negative levels so long as he holds the Eye. As soon as he puts it down they vanish.

The Eye of Nymeth will always seek to further the cause of its patron, Nymeth Vaar and spread chaos and madness into the world. The Eye holds no stipulations for the well being of its holder or indeed care for its life. The holder had best look after its own protection...
Special purpose.

A quick note about the Eye of Nymeth. Since all the items are slotless I didn't need to pay 150% for them but I wanted them all in one item so I did anyways. The only reason the bookplate is there is because I wanted a way to reclaim it if I died and transfered to another clone.

As for my character I am finding that it is getting harder and harder to actually make it work... The "item possessing me to grant me 4 bodies running around" part is not working well at all, since it would not get any of my class abilities or anything... It would have to use the "class" of the item and that just wouldnt work...

Marionette Possession:
You project your soul out of your body and into the body of a willing creature. This possession is blocked by protection from evil or a similar ward. The target’s soul shares its body with you; it is helpless but can still use its senses. You and the target’s soul can communicate telepathically as if using a common language.

You keep your Intelligence, Wisdom, Charisma, level, class, base attack bonus, base save bonuses, alignment, and mental abilities. The body retains its Strength, Dexterity, Constitution, hit points, natural abilities, and natural attacks (such as a bite or sting). A body with extra limbs does not allow you to make more attacks (or more advantageous two-weapon attacks) than normal. You can’t choose to activate the body’s extraordinary, spell-like, or supernatural abilities.

As a standard action, you can return to your own body, ending the spell. While your soul is possessing the target, your body is helpless. If the host body is slain, you return to your own body if it is within range, and the life force of the host departs (it is slain). If the host body is slain beyond the range of the spell, both you and the host die. Any life force with nowhere to go is treated as slain.

So unless anyone has any ideas its back to the drawing board for me... Pity as I had some really great ideas that could have gone with it! Put menacing on my weapon, now all 4 of my guys really boost each others to hit modifiers! +5 benevolent armor, helpful trait and bodyguard feat, any of my guys gets attacked, he gains +27 AC! Any of you guys wants to make a skill check or somesuch, have +16 to it via aid another!
Sadly back to the drawing board...

I also have change shape, so a human apperance is most likely..

Oof... I don't know about Grand Moff, but i was only able to toss it up formatted like that because Hero Builder can export it like that... I'd cry too if i tried to do it by hand.

I do all of my creations by hand :P It takes a bit of time at first, but after you got a template to copy from, it becomes actually quite easy and quick, and honestly, looks a bit better than hero lab :P

I usually just export Hero lab until I've been accepted into a game then add spoilers and such.

Tiny Coffee Golem wrote:

This is what i do as well. Streamlines things and makes it easy to do iterations as i tweak and play with an idea. I think I have 5 versions of this character I've tossed together, complete with level bumps and item adnustments.

But it's inherent formatting is somewhat atrocious

Gobo Hotde, i don't have any ideas, but i hope you find a solution for the multiple man solution... I was digging the concept.

Ya I was really liking the concept as well, but unless we do some extensive houseruling on marionette possession/magic jar I cant see any other way to make it work :( I could get 2 bodies for a limited time but that is the best I can manage.

Maybe I could combine a wish with it to make it work? But then we are practically doing what we said was to much before when someone wanted to combine a bard/barbarian or the hive mind idea :P

Sadly I think I will just have to think of something else.
Some ideas I am kicking around...
Cavalier standard bearer/tactician or fell rider. Hand out buffs, more buffs and here is a teamwork feat to go along with it! Or the ultimate terror creature.
Paladin stonelord. 14 immunities... be living stone.
Dwarven sorcerer (deep earth bloodline), wears golem armor. would take a lot of work to get this guy to work.
Druid wildshaped into earth elemental. Because earth elementals rock! My favorite by far. Do strength hijinks.
Barbarian/alchemist focusing on insane str. Same idea as above, different delivery.
Ya I am still tossing ideas around and havent decided anything yet :P

I tried Hero Lab, but unfortunately, the trial version neither supports over 20th level in a single class nor most sources outside the CRB. It didn't even give Starsoul as a possible bloodline.

Might need to try inputting it all by hand later, again...

But still, what's everyone think?

Gobo Horde wrote:

that was me, and I still think it would work. :D

But it does require some serious DM-work to get it all worked out, and people weren't comfortable with it. ah well.

Gobo Horde wrote:

I was toying with a version of this that basically took Alchemist, Barbarian, Dragon Disciple, and enough Charisma to get the full Eldritch Heritage feat chain (which, if I'm reading it right, would actually advance the inherent strength bonus up to +8 at level 23 or so).

Drink mutagen, rage, change into a dragon = BENCH-PRESS THE MOON

The paid version of Hero Lab doesn't support over 20 in any class. It does support over 20 in character levels though.

I could take 20 levels of sorcerer and 5 levels of dragon disciple. Or 15 levels of sorcerer and 10 dragon disciple. Or any combo that would work.

As for the starsoul bloodline, that is from the advanced players guide. I have that purchased for hero lab. I actually have a lot of books for Hero Lab really. Not everything though. Too much money required to do that right now.

I bought herolab, and most of the books, and found I didn't like it, sigh.

Now I use google docs to write up the character with coding for copy/paste to a paizo profile. With some of my characters, I've started just linking to the google doc instead.

It's not the trial version that will give you fits. The full version allows you to addon 3rd party .user files, but they are a 'chickenfeather' Must...cuss...can't do..it!! to code. Also, the full version won't stat out past 20th level on a single class. It is great (imo) for compiling and printing out personal spell lists in .pdf form so you don't have to scramble through pages and links to find out what that particular spell does. It's also great for automating at least some of the process of character creation (even after paying lots extra for the additional HL files...), but it is not perfect by any stretch.

Haven't heard anything solid lately from the GM's. Any word on what is being decided? This affects my character creation so I need to know please.

Sooner rather than later is preferable.

GMV, did you get my PM?

Sure thing. I picked most of those up because it keeps in track of a guy who makes magic items in a shop. I also picked up Scion of War because I'm feeling a Tony Stark kind of thing going on. But what would you want to do with the two of them together?

Also, could someone post their sheet without spoilers for a little bit? I figure that if I quote it, I could copy and paste it without having to retype the bolding over and over and just put in my values. Only problem is that you can't quote a spoiler.

Here is exactly what you need. It is a level 20 alchemist with everything nice and neat, all headers and such bolded and divided neatly, it has a spell book, a magic item and a backstory. Just copy it into a blank alias, save it (cause paizo can be finicky sometimes), then get to work replacing everything with your own stats :) A word of advice when creating big characters like this. Just before you save it, select all and copy. That way it it decides to crap out on you, you just re-past it and you are good to go. Saved me massive headaches before :P

Sparky the Harbinger of Chaos

It needs a request to check it out. But the big thing that kicked me in the seat of my pants was that I hit "save changes" and instantly thought "I should select everything and copy it just in case it goes wrong on me."

WHOOPS.

still waiting on my question about CR from class levels. Any one know?

d20pfsrd has two cr6 and one cr10 example creatures. Only the CR 10 has more than one special attack. Not sure why the other two don't but it would seem to indicate that a level 25 ghost would have 7 ghost special attacks.

Cool, thanks.

There. That should fix it.

Thank you so much, Gobo.

My character is a fairly simply redemption story. He's a born soldier whose actions caused him to be thrown out of his army (which happens to be the celestial hosts of Movanic Devas). His fall would have left him a memory-less human with terrible scars where his wings formerly attached…. with only nightmares of terrible other-worldly combat, the scars, and the shards of a broken greatsword his only clues to who and what he is.

The next years (or likely decades) are spent searching for who he is and seeking a means of restoring himself.

I would think there would be any number of opportunities for him to come into contact with – and adventure alongside/possibly become friends with – a highly talented and motivated arcane engineer. :)

The fact that you could presumably have crafted all my gear at 1/2 price for gear purchases is simply a happy accident, no? :D

Yar!

Personally, I'd say we should wait for GM permission before assuming anyone can have gear for 1/2 price. For some it is assumed that WBL is a value of the actual value of all your gear on you at this moment, not a pile of gold to purchase with. And that is a valid way to do it. While for others it is the other way around, WBL is a pile of gold to purchase with, and crafting feat (even from another character) can give you more gear than not. That is also valid.

Unless I missed it, I don't think our GM-duo has indicated which way it will be.

Good idea. Herald was alright with pre-game crafting in his Siege on Amberfall game, but then again, we literally have a small mountain of gold each right now.
