I may have been unclear so I apologize:

- only these backgrounds by the 30th, no completed character sheet

- Only CUSTOM MADE slotless items work with that price. Everything already existing is priced as written.

Well, I made both the background and the sheet, so I hope they're to your liking.

And sweet, I'll adjust my wealth and items accordingly soon. Thanks for the clarification.

I suppose I should get to spending all the gold I have. Skulda was originally made with level 10 wealth or something like that. What's our total? 1,250,000?

Should be 1,505,000.

Wow, that's A LOT of gold. I've never even looked at the really expensive magic items before. Skulda is going to be virtually invincible. ~_~*

So spent about half of my gold, and now I'm not sure what else I could possibly need. Are there items that give energy immunity? What about something that makes you not need to breathe or eat? I want to be able to fly around in space, but so far all I've got is cold immunity.

Holy cow... Skulda's got some serious stats!

Strangely enough, you've come to the right place for space faring items. One of my more recent campaigns, in which I also played a general crafter, involved some space faring. I thinkI could show off a few goods you might enjoy.

Now of course, you could always go for your standard Necklace of Adaptation to get around the whole breathing debacle. If you don't have an open neck slot, then there is the possibility of a Pressure Suit. This little number acts much like a space suit. Unfortunately, it also has a lesser amount of air, which seems to be a significant drawback in relation to what you want to do. Another possibility would be to purchase a wand of Planetary Adaptation, which allows for space travel. But unfortunately, the only way to get that wand would be from a Cleric, meaning each charge would only last 17 hours at a time. Not the best idea, but wands don't take up much. If you want to circumvent food, it seems like you could use a Ring of Sustenance, which gives the added benefit of less sleep. But if you're going to be with the rest of the party, Jake can always cast Mage's Magnificent Mansion and feed everybody incredibly well, so don't worry about picking it up if your ring slots may be full. And lastly there's the Robes of the Summit. The robes are built mostly towards casters, but they also do have a section which states, and I quote, "The wearer of these robes can exist comfortably in all high altitudes, including within the death zone at altitudes of 26,000 feet and higher." Depending on GM approval, that little caveat includes the cold void of space, as long as you're farther away than 26,000 feet from a planet.

I hope these little things can help you out in building your character as you please.

An Iridescent Spindle Ioun stone can sustain without air, if you're okay with your air supply floating around your head and able to be (fairly easily) snatched away.

Bottle of air people, you can breath, and in space you also get propulsion.

Psh... how very... mundane (well, mundane-looking). :D

If anyone finds themselves with too much money, I would like to spend a chunk of my own to create a couple of greater demiplanes. Each casting gets a portal to a location on Golarion. The first will be to my personal base of operations, possibly in Magnimar or Absalom. Anyone else wanting to pitch in would then be able to get a portal to their own domicile.

Way I see it, my facility is going to be the Odyseus Foundation. A think tank, philanthropic organization that funds expeditions, provides supplies to communities that are devastated by natural disasters, feeds the poor, etc. The Foundation has several partners that help support it's operations.

In cooperation with Ye Olde Magik Shoppe, a small company with several facilities near magical schools that hires young mages and clerics to produce common magical items. Most of the proceeds are donated to the Foundation. (Who wanted to have a bunch of magic shops?)

For $22,500 gold your quarters in the demiplane will be at least 357,000 cubic feet (357 10' cubes).

The basics of the demiplane will have: Most likely a good alignment. Bountiful, Energy, Gravity, Magic, Morphic, Portal, Seasonal, Shape, and Time. Going hog wild. Creating a section of the demiplane gives one of these, an additional casting is required for each additional. So each section of the demiplane will cost $22,500 gold and require 10 castings of the spell.

Going for a ring of sustenance, and a slotless version of the Necklace of Adaptation. So it's double price right?

I agree with Validk: I carry 2 bottles of air for whenever I might need them. Cheap and effective.

I could certainly go in for a demi-plane.

I already plan on making my own demiplane, as a transitive haven for dragons and their lesser kin who might need a temporary retreat.

Zashier, Validk, any idea on what you're going to add to your demiplanes, features wise?

i'll assume you only glanced over my post... :)

Skuldas stats reminded me of the theory crafted Asterion alchemist I was thinking of for a bit there :)
base 18 str, 2 racial, 6 level up, 6 belt, 8 mutagen, 2 ragechemist, 6 inherent, 6 favoured class bonus, 2 size bonus, +2 couragious weapon and why not? add in a level of barbarian for 4 extra :)
60str always and 64 when raging XD
Base 16 con, 2 racial, 6 belt, 8 mutagen, 5 inherent, 6 barabarian, 2 couragious weapon.
45con :)

Plus he gets 12 natural armour bonus for his mutagen :D
he would be one sturdy dude :) I might build him up a bit instead of Crash, I will have to think about it :)

Oops, look at that, it's right in the post. Heh.

But I don't think you need to cast Permanency 10 times to get all those features permanent. The spell Create Greater Demiplane says that each casting would add either a feature or area. It also says that "If you have cast create greater demiplane multiple times to enlarge the demiplane, each casting’s area requires its own permanency spell."
The way I read this is that is that, when dealing only with the features, you can cover all the feature changes with a single Permanency spell. So that should save a little bit of gold and some spell slots when dealing with everyone's section of the demiplane.

Callant's New Vibe

I've made a few changes to Callant, including finalizing the spell list, and getting a real weapon for him. The fact is, Callant is designed to be ranged (spells). If he is down to pulling out Vera (his sword/not very subtle Firefly reference), the group is in trouble. But it's happened to him before, and he refuses to use those 'guns' in battle. Feel free, as always, to pick him apart, but the character is essentially done. The only thing is that I've run out of room for writing in wands, but I would like to think that he might have a few (Fireballs anyone?) somewhere in that efficient quiver.

BTW, I hope to have time this weekend to put Callant up on Hero Lab, so that I can cut/paste his character block (ala Skulda) on his avater link.

I noted that it was only one casting of permanency, but 10 castings of greater demiplane

Okay, my mistake. Though I'm still not sure where you're getting 357 10' cubes if any casting of Greater Demiplane can increase the area by 20 10' cubes/CL. I know that it says up to 20, but is there any particular desire to limit it at 357?

And LM, any reason that some of your spells have A and B next to the level number?

@Ace: A denominates a spell I get automatically (i.e. all heal spells). The B's are listed to show what I spent my bonus spells on, since I traded the lvl 22 spell slots for spells.

Alright, sounds cool. One more thing, though, I'm curious how your bonus spell slots are so high. Do you have Runestones of Power or something? Because on the PFSRD, you don't get 5 bonus 1st level spells until your CHA is at least 44.

Any suggestions for the following:

1) How should I build an Epic Druid's Scimitar? Despite prefering her animal forms, Nagato is a fairly good at sword combat. She can Wild Shape into a Troll via the Greater Mask of Giants, and she has Power Attack and Vital Strike. I basically have a +5 Scimitar, but I am not sure what properties to slap on it.

2) What should be the properties of a +5 Amulet of Mighty Fists? Everything I've read says go +3 Holy in terms of total property value, but there might be other options.

Well, for the first one, Keen is always a fun quality. Radiant Energy could also work out if you're looking to show off. Though a Bane quality could come in handy. As could Ghost Touch. You'll have to pick and choose, but those have to be my favorites, along with the burst qualities.

I missed that, I must have been looking lower when I was typing that out, thanks for the catch.

This time, I went with keen and brilliant energy for my scimitar. I won't do much damage with my sword in any event, but at least I won't have to worry about armor/shields.

As for the amulet, Holy is good, but it's kinda broad in some respects. It will basically depend on what kind of fighting you'll want your character to get into. I agree with ace's idea of Bane myself, also ghost touch to deal with the incorporeals.

Are you sure you fixed it? The bonuses still aren't right if you ask me. It looks like you have one too many fourth, fifth, and eighth level spells.

I fixed the 4th/5th level spell slots, but I thought that it was 3 spells for 8th.

Unless you have a Runestone of Power or something, nah. I'm looking at the chart right now and it says that at a spellcasting stat of 40 you only get 2 bonus 8th and 9th level spells. Still nothing to sneeze at, though.

NP, I'll fix it then. Kewl beans.

Also, LM, did you see my query about rods? Because I think we could end up sharing.

When I say green lantern, I don't actually mean DC universe. I just mean some organization very similar to the green lanterns. It could easily still be set in Golarion's universe. Might be fun to use some of that stuff from the outer space book Paizo put out with the other planets in Golarion's solar system detailed. The name of the book escapes me at the moment.

Golarion has a bunch of Factions besides the 10, make that 8 now being used for PFS. If have the Faction Guide, you'll see what I mean.

Still here and everything.

I had a new idea at work today (Teaching kids to play D&D at camp). To combine both roleplay and good challenges, what would you to say to a Planar Tournament? The strongest champions have united to hold a tremendous contest, including festivities, duels, skirmishes, intrigue and a foul rumor of something dark stirring?

Any takers?

357 was a typo, had something in the calculator that messed up the number. My current CL is 18, but depending on the final rule set, it may go up from there. so 20x18=360 cubes.

If I can't keep the half-celestial doppelganger, then I'll be going with a human or elf and more caster levels.

I plan on having the central hub as a sphere with gravity pulling to the outer wall (0g in the center).

Still trying to figure out how big a sphere I could get without getting too expensive.

If it's not too late for everyone: Half-Something isn't too complex, so I'd allow it. It's just stacking templates that I didn't want.

That sounds like it could be interesting. Haven't done too many tournaments.

That's fine with me. With 1.5 mill in gear, Skulda is shaping up to more like a god than a PC. If it comes to combat I'm not aware of any stock monsters that would be a threat to her, maybe Orcus or another of the 3 PP demon lords, but I doubt it. That being said, her skill modifiers give her plenty of non-combat options.

What about a tournament for one time open access to the Starstone?

Would this be a 1v1 tourney? Or would we have our whole crew on our side?

Up to you but it could be both?

Not really sure. Either could be fun. Especially in trying out a bunch of spells.

i would take a step to assist with refereeing if this is just going to be a gladiator event, writ large.

If you have access to the module there's that Golden Phoenix Tournament adventure that's a martial arts tournament made for 15th level characters I think. I might be goofing slightly on the name of it, but it might save you some work to use that as a template and just crank the volume waaaay up.

Is it bad if I'm considering changing my bloodline to Stormborn and shouting "MORTAL KOMBAT"?

It'd be more than just "Fight". There'd be a story, people to interact with, potential cheaters, multiple different match types, places to explore, things to buy, etc.

Of course, but it would be funny. :P

I'm really looking forward to this.

Tourney and a mystery sound good to me. :)

What student of Irori could turn down an invitation to test himself against the best of the best? :D
