I feel your pain Cyrioul. We just moved in to our new place on Monday and the apartment is covered in boxes & drying dishware (got dusty after a year in a box)!

Man, I just got a new job working in a furniture store and I'm actually looking forward to getting my own place so i can furnish it with all the cool stuff. I know it's going to be a head ache (moved a couple times before having to go back to my mom's) but my wife and I are excited. It's a pain now but it's so much worth it later.

I'm confused about your raging hit points.

You start off with 12. Rage gives you 4, where are the other five coming from?

Oh, and BTW, originally I had all three hit you for 33 damage, but, I decided that once you fell, it would step over you.

If you have those other five HP, then I'll revise what occurred.

Cedric did a CLW for 5 hp after the wolverine hit me for 14. I went from 21 before the attack to 7, then 12 when cedric healed me. I then raged which gives me 4 temp essentially putting my total hp at 16. Then the wolverine hit me once for 10 which put me at 6. I'm gonna assume the second hit will put me down then instead of killing me like the 33 total damage would do.

Hopefully my line of thinking and explaining is clearer now.

Ah, now I get it. You list your hit points as 12(4)/21. Fighter level 1 gets 10+2 HP. Barbarian level two got the average of 1d12 rounded up = 7 + 2 for CON modifier.

I was confused because I saw the 12 and added 4 for during rage.

So, the second hit did take Caladra down, and the wolverine could not move safely.

Just so I don't get confused again, could you rewrite it as "12+9=21 Rage +4" and next level it would be "12+9+9=30 Rage +6"

So start listing my temp rage hp all the time on my character sheet bar thing?

Oh, I see. The first number is the current, the parenthesis is the rage, and the number after the slash is the total possible.

No, just a mundane bedroll, and perhaps some other mundane items. Nothing remarkable.

Hey, TechnoDM, how do you feel about these Downtime rules from Ultimate Campaign, since we're in the wilderness without access to much civilization?

Research a Spell

The Core Rulebook allows you to perform spell research, either to create a new spell or learn an existing spell from another source. In the downtime system, the steps for spell research each day are as follows.

• Pay 100 gp × the spell's level for research costs and rare ingredients. You may spend Goods or Magic toward this cost.
  
• Determine the total days of progress required to complete the research, which is 7 × the spell level.
  
• Determine the spell research DC, which is 10 + twice the spell's level.
  
• Attempt a Spellcraft check and a Knowledge check (arcana for an arcane spell, religion for a divine spell) against the spell research DC. You can't take 10 on these checks. You may spend Magic to modify a check result, with 1 point of Magic adding 2 to your total (maximum +10). If both checks succeed, you make 1 day's progress toward completing the spell. When your days of progress equal the total number of days needed, the spell is completed and added to your spellbook or list of spells known.

If either or both spell research checks fail by 4 or less, you make no progress. For each check that fails by 5 or more, your research has led to poor results and you lose a day of progress toward completing the spell.

I don't have a problem with those rules, but, remember, that anyone doing spell research is not contributing to the daily checks for survival of the group.
