Ugh. That's why I hate lotteries! =)
I find myself in need of a venture captain. I'm at 154 games DMed and 9 specials. Are there any venture captains around that need a special run to help me earn my 5th star?
I am not a VC, but maybe I can help?
If you need your tenth special, you can run Serpent's Ire, Serpent's Rise or Through Maelstrom's Rift at any time to get your tenth special. Or you can help us run Cosmic Captive this Summer.
If you are looking for a VC for an observation game, I am sure we can get you set up with one.

I spoke with Pirate Rob (former VC for California) and he suggested that the 5th star game just has to be reviewed by a venture captain. Does that mean I can just run the game as normal and have Jesse review it when he has time? Or does he have to review it as it's happening?
I'm actually looking to run #7-99: Through Maelstrom Rift (Level 6 Special Pregens Only). It looks like it was made legal for normal play this afternoon by Tonya.

Sweet. Thanks Slothsy! You're in Pirate Rob.
I'm looking for four more players that can post at least once per day (preferably more than once) to participate in the special #7-99: Through Maelstrom Rift. Like Serpent's Rise and Serpents Ire this is a special scenario that uses level 6 story-specific pregens. On completion you'll get a chronicle giving credit to the character of your choice. If you're interested and you can keep up with my posting expectations please check in here
Even the limitless Plane of Air is at risk of eldritch instability, and a cult dedicated to the planes’ integrity has sensed an imminent calamity brewing deep within a primal storm. In this special adventure, the players portray a diverse coalition of elemental guardians that must embark on perilous journey into the maelstrom’s heart and avert a disaster that threatens the Inner Sphere.

Recruiting for 2-06 The Heresy of Man, Part I: The First Heresy. Classic run, with two spots reserved. I would prefer those who joined could stick around for the whole trilogy, but if they can't or don't want to, then that's all right. Will likely recruit in first come, first served style.
I'm interested, can do the full trilogy, and have multiple characters in tier to hopefully compliment the party.

I really want to join with lvl 7 magus for the whole triology. Only caveat is that I am currently on a trip (back March 6) with limited opportunity to post.

I have a 6.2 level dwarven warpriest that could make it for all three scenarios. Sounds like those folks need some love from Desna pretty badly.

Wait a minute. Are you guys saying that I could have a VC sit in my games for my Fifth star on a PbF?
With Bated breaths......

Correct.
Although the format of play is still different, we can still base decisions on the accuracy of rules, consistency of your posting, fairness in decision making, clarity of communication, post game admin etc.
Whats more, the joy of PbP is I can look at your tabs and see a whole written back history of your gaming (and the quality) which is not as easy in tabletop...

Recruiting for:
Decline of Glory Tier 1-7
Lost at Bitter End Tier 7-11
Stealing a small bit from GM EndlessForms
I expect roleplaying at my tables. Please keep out-of-character strategy talk to a minimum. And please please no posts with just dice rolls. I expect my players to engage with the game. It's a lot more fun for everyone if you do and PbP is a great medium to really take time to explore your character by adding some description and dialog each time you update.

I hate to say this (because really I do), but considering that three weeks from now I (or anyone of us really) might be hanging, by a pick-axe, from a cliff-side overlooking an icy crevasse in Antarctica populated by genetically engineered, killer, North Korean-trained penguins, I might just enter my saving throw vs sleep (and only that) just so as not to slow things down. I mean really who hasn't had that happened to them once, or twice during a game?
Why I remember this one time I was strapped into an ambulance, being driven by FSB agents in Karachi, while we were in the middle of round 8 fighting some derro, and I just used an edited reply of my previous round's attack....
What I mean is, if I'm averaging 60+ posts per game not everything needs to read like Robert Jordan's first Wheel of Time novel (or so I would hope--even I hated hanging out with Aes Sedai after I read Eye of the World, and they're imaginary).

Hi all! I'm going to be running 06-05: Slave Ships of Absalom in NORMAL (non-core) mode! Open to anyone who wants in--I'll hold a lottery for five players tomorrow at noon, EST, if I have enough sign-ups.
I do expect players to follow the usual Flaxseed Lodge expectations.
You can sign up here!

Noon and we only have four people signed up--should be a good, quick game (interesting mix, too)!
Will djpika, Iff, Tarondor, and Cwethan please check into the gameplay and discussion threads!
Thanks!

Oh dear. :( Well, in that case I shall leave recruitment open until tonight, or until we can find more players. Since I'd like to get this game going shortly, I'm going to just take the next two players who sign up, first-come, first-serve! Looks like we're likely to play the 1-2 subtier.

Hi all! Got more interest than I anticipated, given how slowly things filled up overnight. Sadly, I can only run one table, and since I said first-come, first-serve earlier that's what I feel like I have to run with.
HOWEVER, I'm a sucker for trying to let as many people play as possible, so I'm going to bump the table size up to six players. Jason Rodarte (assuming you can finish the character early tomorrow--we want to get going!), the Crimson Fox, and Annabelle Foster can go ahead and dot into gameplay and discussion. Luthor Rainmacher, don't worry--you're the standby if anyone else drops or doesn't show up!
Thanks, all! Recruitment is closed.

Hey Norv! I'd be using a Star Replay anyway, so Luthor can have the slot. I'll wait for your next game :D

I can work on him this evening.
