No problem ^_^
I'm just happy that you're making up for my misses.

Calas "Thin-blood" Kewadin |

Just wanted to apologize for not working on the info sheet in awhile. My time is limited during my training, so won't be able to update that till sometime near the end of this month.
Also, I think everyone has posted their turns right?

Calas "Thin-blood" Kewadin |

And I look again to confirm... ya, that is a crit. On a caster... *sigh*
Tell your dice to chill. If I die, I'm going to make a a debuffer from hell to even the odds.

Saeras Illthyr |

This is why you should make any cool/important NPC bosses twins or even triplets. Then we can't (probably? Most often at least!) crit them down in one strike ^^
Edit: It is also why mounted Maguses are hilarious. And do tell your wife random people on the internet wishes her a happy birthday (party)! :P

We already have a mesmerist; just wait, he will make his targets cry...lol. Then Nate will poke them in the eyes just for fun.

Vicalan Shal'Tludeint |

Any spellcaster that does not let the minions/meat shields go first and forward, deserves a crit in the throat. :)
Btw am I reading this wrong or did you say he has a familiar and it's holding his spells?
Happy birthday to your wife too.

Vantrag Kewadin |

Uh, I'm confused on what you mean by saying his familiar contains the spells? I have a feeling this is another rules difference thing that is throwing me off, but yeah. Familiars can hold spells somehow? What would one do to get the spells from it? Will it get angry at us for killing its master or can we just like scoop it up in a jar? Sorry, I'm kinda lost.
EDIT: ah, Nevermind, I had missed the fact that Vicalan picked up the familiar already. So we can deal with that later.

Vantrag Kewadin |

OH okay, I see. Not familiar with the witch class at all so I didn't know that their familiars worked that way.
By the way, sorry if my posting is a bit scattered for the next couple of days. I am in the process of getting things together in preparation for heading back to school next week so I might not be around as much, I'll try to keep up though.

Monkeygod |

For all my games:
This Friday, Aug 19th, and Sat Aug 20th, plus next Thurs Aug 25th-Sept 6th(possibly longer), I will have potentially spotty posting.
Friday is the huge, EPIC 5 year anniversary wrestling show for the promotion my brother works for, House of Glory.
Saturday is NXT Brooklyn II.
And then next Thursday I leave for Atlanta for several nights of LARP and awesome friends before making my way to New Orleans for the 25th anniversary Grand Masquerade event for Vampire the Masquerade.
Thus, please bot me as necessary.

Calas "Thin-blood" Kewadin |

I don't think that'd work well with most of the party. More likely to cause division. You're more likely to gain long term loyalty and support with sugar than with a stick.

Vicalan Shal'Tludeint |

@Calas
Does not matter if Vicalan is affiliated with them anymore. A mercenary would be a better target then him, why would you hunt down a mercenary due to their former employer. He has no stake in the house's survival or success, which makes him no threat. He wasn't even being paid. Why would any drow be loyal or even take offense to something that has no benefit to them.
@Vantrag
Yeah that's not going to work, that will guarantee that your going to get betrayed. That's the base line for any drow you pull that with, unless you can convince them they have no chance. Which I am pretty sure is not going to happen with anyone among us. We have seen each others abilities to some extent.

Calas "Thin-blood" Kewadin |

Hmm. Revenge for your former teacher is improbable, doesn't fit how Calas thinks, and wouldn't convince the rest. Fortune isn't in the cards either. Curiosity? Maybe.
Knowledge may do it, but magical knowledge isn't something Calas could offer.
Best I can think of is to straight up ask the non nobles what they want in return for staying.

Vantrag Kewadin |

To be honest I'm feeling kind of ??__?? about what to do overall right now, because I feel like I don't know what would work in terms of getting the matron safe/healed, and I also feel like it's effectively "game over" if she dies.

GM Choon |

You have several options here. You could seek refuge with a trusted person, that I will inform you about here in a sec, you could beseech the Council to undo the curse, requiring some good diplo rolls, you could approach the mercenaries and see what they say. You could even start your own house if you can convince the others to go along with it.

Vicalan Shal'Tludeint |

Well I can't speak for anyone but Vicalan.
It's not his house and he has nothing to gain by staying with a group that has a huge target on their backs. Something that needs to be addressed. Distancing himself from said targets is the safest and best move for him as it stands, that way he is not an enemy to an organization with resources and manpower far beyond his own much less status and influence with in the city.
As I currently see it, his best options are the following. Attach himself to another organization. Go independent as a mercenary mage, spellcaster for hire, or merchant. Or he could contact his superiors from his school back in Sshamath and see about returning. Or any combination of those.
Personally I am not seeing a promotion for him anywhere. Maybe a freeing of a few obligations, but not much else. Unless I am missing something.

Saeras Illthyr |

Boing! Still a bit out - and at an unfortunate situation I've noticed - sorry! I'm just checking in now so you know I'm not totally gone, but I'll have to hold off catching up a bit.

Vantrag Kewadin |

To be honest, the intensity of the arguments that people should just bolt have surprised me. In my view, each of your just got a huge promotion.
Well, Vantrag got a promotion she personally never wanted, haha.

Vantrag Kewadin |

Hey, right now I feel like the best idea would be for some (definitely me and the other directly related Kewadin nobles) to go directly to the council and present ourselves as evidence that Vandree was unsuccessful, and then some of us take the matron & Severance to the safe ally merchant guy? Just because I feel weird about carrying them around? What do you think? I am asking this OOC because right now Vantrag is not likely to request peoples' input and more likely to just bark orders.
Also where is the Council located in terms of where we are...

Vicalan Shal'Tludeint |

OOC that is the move to make. Vicalan has already told you that the effect killing them is going to work after a while and they will die. He knows nothing about this ally's power, nor do we OOC. But OOC the matrons are the highest level spellcasters, outside Gromph, the drow lich, and the spider mage, in the city. If they can't take care of it themselves then they can at least summon Gromph, sense his mother/sister (depends on the year) is the head of the council and he can take care of it. So unless this low ranking house is packing magic on a scale beyond epic level (beyond mythic for pathfinder folks) it's going to get broken by the council or someone the council can call.
If for whatever reason the council turns you down, slim chance but you never know. Then at least you will know your house is done for, time to change your surname and pick a new way of life whatever that may be.
