Hakk may seem evil, but he's really just CN. (Stressing the Chaotic)
He looks at himself as an agent or embodiment of Chaos itself.
He may do some evil-ish things...but he's really just trying to spice life up for himself and everybody else around him from one moment to the next, he just doesn't really care who gets hurt or maimed along the way. THe exception is his family. He's bonded to them by his torturous upbringing...which makes him really just a semi-sociopathic demonling-kid trying to make sense of his place in the drow world. Sad really, but fun to role-play!

I'm weird:
I have always looked at evil as a CHOICE rather than a given fact. You chose to do evil, then THAT is an evil act. You choose to do something (or nothing) because you don't care who get's hurt then OTHERS might think it evil, but in the end it is just callousness and/or ignorance of the consequences.
Not trying to debate here, just spouting out about where my character comes from in my little head.

I tend to play my drow more cunningly evil than vicious or vile.
I also look at alignment as two component pieces that make a whole, and as such, each piece can have several different 'interpretations'.
In Phae's case, he's definitely more the selfish, personal power, type of NE vs the Daemon nihilistic type of NE.

Vicalan has his own sense of order or rules but morality has nothing to do with it. Be as evil or good as you want he does not judge that. He judges smart and foolish, foresight and impulsiveness. If a good act will net him the most reward or higher result, he will do it. The same for an evil act. As someone once said, he's neutral like a shark or hurricane. ;)

@Alignment - Saeras does not really condone of senseless violence, robbery, pillaging or torture ect ect unless it does either benefit or amuse him (though I guess the later is part of the former!).
But just for our own sanity I do suggest we don't get too graphic in describing our most wicked deeds yeah :P?

I don't die from horrible traps because I am good at getting pass magical traps. Your question is illogical, your on my foolish list good sir. :P
P.S. Strangely enough among my level plans is a PrC that deals with magical traps. So if this becomes a common thing, it makes sense my guy gets good at it.

Nope they lost their chance at being off the hook with the council meeting. They not only failed but they got exposed. The "sacred law" is clear, they burn. That's what happens when you let holy fanatics run things. Does not help their goddess is unforgiving and cruel as a matter of course. The wheels are in motion and their is no stopping it now.
