Saeras Illthyr |

That is, Saeras is thinking that we should find a way to look after ourselves rather then worry about avenging a now non-existent house.
Maybe trying to loot the rubble of our fallen house before it becomes official that it is no more (as it wouldn't be off-limits until then, technically)?

Mourn'draxil |

I may not have been the clearest. We are not attacking the house that attacked us. In fact we are completely ignoring that a bit, its uh.. why i eliminated links to us. When we came here to this bar for the orc, it was to stop a gang of criminal like scum from forcing him to pay protection money.
From taking out Vala's crew we decided that you know what, being merceniary criminal mob like scum might not be a bad gig, so we are moving to attack another close simular rival... before they attack us once word gets out that she got hit. Hopefully sucking them into our little group in the process and doubling our territory and size.
I think that is what we are doing I can imagine how its all jumbled and confusing, i dont think our little survival team has really sat down and talked everything out, we should probably do that soon.

Vicalan Shal'Tludeint |

Well Vicalan has to be setting a record for longest bath at this point. ;P
For his part he still has masters he answers to. But they don't place him on a leash or anything. For some reason they want the golem/vault of the former house mage. So long as Vicalan is working towards that, they don't care what he does or how he does it. Helps alot that nearly everyone that knows about that golem is dead.

Saeras Illthyr |

Yes ... Now the only problem I'm having is to figure out *what* to offer Vicalan! We have, like, nothing :P
(And Charm/Intimidate and such are nice ways to bypass that but they will also backfire hilariously eventually and end up with one of us probably dead in an alley or something and that seems like a really really bad way to start things out!)

Hakk'Viddaro Kewadin |

Offer him a 10% interest in our little adventure? However, that means he has to occasionally get his hands dirty too.

Saeras Illthyr |

@Hakk - Stock is an interesting option, I'll have to admit.
@Mourn - Sweet!
...Please don't burn down Vicalan too, not even us drow are heartless enough to orphan rubber ducks!... :P

Mourn'draxil |

Look, I'll be honest, We dont have anything to offer Vicalin so really its on him to decide what to do. I dont think any of us are the begging type.
Maybe when we loot the house and have the golem he will come to us and we can shut the door in his face.

Vicalan Shal'Tludeint |

Vicalan is reasonable, but he is not stupid. Would you believe or trust someone showing up at your door acting the way you did after having their house destroyed while running for their lives less then a handful of days ago? More so just like your prideful as a drow so is he in a certain way, talking down to him like a lackey never goes well with any drow.
You don't have to beg, but don't try to trick or manipulate him. Unless your smarter then him or powerful enough that you would not need to ask in the first place. Like the guys he really works for. >.<
Basically if your straight with him that's enough to open up negotiations. You need him for something and he needs you for something. But you don't know that and he does. You will have your chance to figure it out via sense motive during negotiations of course. ;)
In short treat him like an equal whose services you need. You don't need to offer, just ask what he wants. Haggle!

Mourn'draxil |

I would not but to be honest, Mourn is here to bring you along to keep you in the game.
We all stuck together, you went your own way. I didnt think I was being too demanding, in hindsight i probably should have worded it differently. My apologies.
take 2, not very mourn military mind set like but worth a shot i suppose.

Vicalan Shal'Tludeint |

Admittedly I shot myself in the foot a little. Didn't expect to be out that long. But you guys split up for a while too and had your misadventures. Mine were just grooming related and less productive. xP
It will all work out in the end. If we live and you know our souls are not damned.

Saeras Illthyr |

As much as I have been foot sticking in mouth i was hoping our slaver or one of the other smooth talkers started talking >.<
Sorry!
But all things considered, you did good : )

Saeras Illthyr |

Given the drow trait of sucky fort saves, smoke inhalation should cull a few. And we really don't need to catch every little last one, just kill/maim/destroy enough of them/their stuff to render them harmless in the most efficient way possible.
Besides, this way, Choon gets to stat up a few recurring foes if he wants. Every good story needs some antagonists to backstab/outmanoeuvre, better them then one of us :P

Saeras Illthyr |

1) Smoke/burn them out and slay them in the streets
2) Hakk flank/distract and frontal attack
3) Maybe something else?
Those are the options discussed, I think. I'm leaning towards 1 - but that would probably require a touch more planning then 2. At the very least gauging the flammability of the target/neighbourhood.

Phaenox |

Well, not like crates or anything, but if there's parchment around, it should be thin enough to catch fire, even if a more solid object made of the same material might not.
Also, the tar itself likely ignites as well, and depending on if it splashes or not, could create mini fires all over the place.

Hakk'Viddaro Kewadin |

Excellent! Roll for new Hit Points?
New HPs: 1d10 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
Average!
Going to add my 4th level stat point into Con so I'm now at 16! +3HPs per level! So...+4 more HPs!
+1 BAB, +1 For, +1 Will, +2 Str, +2 Int, and can cast Desecrate 1/day.

Saeras Illthyr |

Safe to assume Saeras will find the others at plot appropriate speed? On the way there he'd probably like to take a closer look at the building he is currently visiting. It really doesn't seem like a hq - more like a hovel ...
@Hp/Hakk - We are not rolling for hp I think? We are using half + 1 iirc so you should have one more!
Saeras on his end is really enjoying those shiny new 6 hp. Might save him from getting shived and mugged on the way home :P

Saeras Illthyr |

@Spells - Saeras is gaining some level two spells now and I thought it might be worth it to sync with the rest of the party. I'm currently looking at Silence, Invisibility, Oneiric Horror and Glitterdust (picking 2).
I know Vicalan got invis but having more handy is always nice (and being able to turn invisible with a thought can come in handy!).
Silence is really nice for sneaking around - and I don't think anyone else gets it? At the top of the list just for that. Also very nice against other magicans (or people looking to yell for help!). Even more useful when/if everyone puts a rank in sigh language.
Oneiric Horror is basically an Illusion version of Hold Person, which is nice seeing as drow got that racial bonus. Sorta nice when you want to take someone out of a fight - but this is mostly a pick because the fluff of the spell is amusing : )
Lastly we have the trustworthy Glitterdust. Everything can use more sparkles!
Thoughts?

Hakk'Viddaro Kewadin |

Silence and Glitterdust.
They are the most versatile IMHO.
One gives you something that is a decent area of effect spell that can temporarily BLIND opponents (invisibility for everyone!), and the other has multiple uses: Cancel out spellcasters, aid stealth, and even better...stops most sonic based attacks!

Hakk'Viddaro Kewadin |

As a conjuror, you should get at least one conjuration spell...
Create Pit and Acid Arrow are good choices.
As far as utilitary spells: Pilfering Hand and Shatter are good choices.
Raven's Flight...I noticed you don't have much on travel spells. Its a good one! (It can be cast as a swift action!)

Mourn'draxil |

hp +6
Ref +1
Wil +1
Int +1
skills : 6 +2 background
bg - knowledge engineering +1
bg - craft alchemy +1
skills - Climb +1, Ride +1, Survival +1,craft weaponsmithing +2, perception +1
Armor training -

Vicalan Shal'Tludeint |

I don't see anywhere that you need to pick up a spell of your school when you level up, missed it if it's there. But anyways a little torn between acid arrow and stone discus. Stone Discus gives me more damage and a wider range of dishing out that damage with counting as silver etc, but Acid Arrow has greater distance. Also I could always pick up snowball or mudball for their effects on top of damage. As for my second spell I am leaning towards Raven's Flight but considering Symbol of Mirroring. Symbol spells can be very useful for hide outs and bases, even as a good trick if you get creative.
I would like anyone's feedback if their willing on this.
Level Up - Master Specialist
Int +1
HP +5
Skills +1 to all already invested
Will +2
Skill Focus (Spellcraft)
Ouch the price of multiclassing. x)

Hakk'Viddaro Kewadin |

Just commenting...your a Conjuror specialist so you would probabaly lean towards those spells. Nothing more.
Discus is nice, but more limited in effect at lower levels I think. Also I think they are NORMAL attacks to hit. Not touch attacks. That makes a difference too.
Again, Raven's Flight/Symbol?
Either way works: The main bonus of Wizards is the diversity of spells they can potentially cast. Either spell does that.

Vicalan Shal'Tludeint |

Everything but my spells should be updated.
Concerning the pit spells. The problem with that is that nobles have levitate, not to mention being a dex gifted race. Odds are alot of our enemies (drow) will be decent if not good at acrobatics too. It's not a good spell for this game, which even most monsters and other enemies will be used to climbing, burrowing, or avoiding such a hazard. They sell spider webbing sacks to use instead of normal rope around these parts. xZ
