This is a high level rules light game set in a school for magical kids, kinda a mash-up of Soul Eater, Harry Potter, and X-Men. :)

"It did look like you were at least giving it a tough fight though. Did you try zapping it with your lightning? In a lake this size only the thing you shot at would be effected. I should look into getting you gills..." Having entered his scientific state of mind, Michael drifts around, thinking as he stares up into the trees.

She shook her head bemusedly as she saw him become totally absorbed in his thoughts. She dived down under the water quietly and swam underneath him before grabbing one of his ankles and yanking him abruptly under the water.

Yeah, that's fine.

Advanced PE starts abruptly as Professor Sunwake pulls large pieces of rock from the floor and walls and starts them careening around the room.l Your assignment it seems is to not get crushed.

"Yeah," she agreed as she gave Vasya one last cuddle before putting her familiar into her hidey hole for the day. "Maybe we can eat lunch together?"

"Class? Er, class? Hello? Would the lot of you please shut up and take your seats now," she bellowed.

"Ahem. As I was saying I am Professor Reading and this is Intro to Magic....and so help me mister if you follow through with that grasping hand spell I will introduce you to the fun of being today's object lesson. Yes, that's what I thought. Now sit down, and open your textbook," she blustered, pretending for all she was worth that she actually knew what she was doing.

Textbook?! Vai thinks, now remembering she was supposed to get one from the school library. My first class and I'm already screwing up! Vai quickly looks around, spotting the dark haired student she met yesterday sitting next to her, pulling out a textbook ... but she couldn't remember his name... maybe she had ran off before he introduced himself. Tentatively, she whispers: "Excuse me... can I share? I forgot to get a textbook."

Directed ar Oneiro, in case that wasn't obvious.

Male Unknown 16 Invulnerable Rager/ 16 Hex Crafter Magus

After seeing the Professor start throwing rocks Enre's snaps his fingers so his clothes appear as his armor once again and releasing his seal. He than stands still catching the rocks thrown his way.

While the first class of the day was in full swing, a golden haired woman dressed to the nines followed by an older gentleman with whom there was a distinct family resemblance and a teenage boy with dark red hair and a disdainful expression swept into the school and headed purposefully for the Headmaster's office.

"I wish to speak to the Headmaster. At once," she said in a gratingly shrill voice.

Sitting cross-legged in what appeared to be a floating room within a room, Gustav was aware of the flying-former-demon behind him. He continued to not get what Sifu Daiyu? was saying. "It's a pebble." he stubbornly protested. "Smooth. Round. Probably lying in a river for the last thousand years. Limestone. Big deal."

It was going to be a long, long day.

Warforged Engineer Alchemist 16/Armiger 16 Champion of Creation

Jim flips a switch on his arm after he places it, doubling in size, and gets his hand spinning. Burrowing Fist discovery

He then starts flying, avoiding rocks when he can and punching through when he can't.

Burrowing Fist:
The Battle fist now has the option of attaching a tunneling drill bit to the end of itself in place of your regular fingers. In this form the Engineer gains a burrowing speed of 30ft per round and can tunnel through dirt and rock. Also the Engineer can choose to have his battle fist deal piercing damage.

A door opens, and a kobold sticks his head out. "What's that?"

Phaezeriel sits on the floor of Sifu Daiyu's classroom contemplating how the stone he was given is interconnected with all other things. A small part of his mind notes Gustav's reaction, and the corner of his mouth twitches in the barest hint of a smile, though his meditation continues uninterrupted.

Autohypnosis: 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (12) + 22 = 34.

She looked down her nose at him. "Are you hard of hearing little creature? I said to inform the Headmaster of my arrival. We will not be kept waiting," she said imperiously.

"Ah, you were speaking to me. Very well, I shall inform him."
Vakkler closes his eyes, and attempts to mentally 'shout' as he did with Ryleh. Headmaster. Parents of one Fieri del Sol are here and wish to speak with you.
The kobold's eyes open. "He has been informed. Also, please keep your voice down. My students are taking a test."

"Hmph. Not that it's likely to help. I can't imagine anyone actually learning anything in this provincial school," she sniffed as she swept past.

The old man gave an apologetic shrug and the teenage boy looked as if he very much agreed with Ms. Helios's assessment of the place.

@Anyone in Meditation Class: After what feels like an eternity for many of the students Sifu Daiyu speaks, though her eyes are still closed. "Please. Teachers. I wish to know about your pebbles. About what you see. Share what you know with this humble student. Who wishes to instruct me first?"

F Sylph

Nasima sits in lotus position in the middle of Sifu Daiyu's room. She may or may not be floating a fraction of an inch off the ground. "Sifu. My stone is home to many stories. This is the one it told me today. Sometime in the deep past, the stone lived in a river. It found life there crowded, and cold, though it was surrounded by many brothers and sisters. But the fish and insects and bears and tiny microscopic creatures were full of wisdom, and would brush by it, or walk over it, or stop and eat a meal there. So it is that an owlbear stood on the stone once as it consumed a careless human, and the claws of the owlbear dug a gouge into the stone and a single drop of blood fell on it, staining the inside of the rock at the place the claw landed. Pieces of the claw remain there to this day, stuck in the blood of its owner's slain prey. So it is the stone learned that all we do stays with us, and affects the world around us. So it is the stone has taught me this lesson today; that all we do affects everything, even things we cannot see, or take utterly for granted."

Male Quasit (Demon) Gestalt Vitalist/Psion(Telepath) 16

Phaezeriel waits a moment to see if Nasima is done speaking, and to see id Sifu Daiyu has anything to say.

Michael smiles and swims lazily up to the surface to get a bigger breath, then dives back down to swim with Kitty. She looked really nice the way the light was hitting. Not unlike the fey he had seen years ago... only prettier and fully clothed.

Michael blushes, keeps smiling, and swims away.

Quite surprised that Proffesor Relkav contacted him via telepathy[/i], Ryo signs the last(thank the gods) of the resignation forms and leaves his office to head off Feiri's parents, giving both Feiri and Jiminy a heads-up on the way.[/i]

Just after the woman gives Vakkler the brushoff, a man in red robes walks around the corner, and stops in surprise.

"Oh, hello there. Looking for someone in particular?"

Bluff:1d20 + 20 ⇒ (6) + 20 = 26
This man is not surprised at all, and knows they are looking for someone.

The old man chuckled and stepped in front of the imperious golden haired woman.

"We've met once before, Headmaster Antairus. When I came to enroll my granddaughter in your school."

"And what a mistake that has turned out to be!" the woman snapped shrilly. "Let's indulge her high spirits, you said. Let her get it out of her system. Well, as far as I can see all she's become is even more rebellious that she was in the first place."

"Apolla," the old man said, gently rebuking her. "That is no way to speak to our gracious host. Besides, you are jumping to conclusions. We haven't even spoken with Fieri yet. Please, excuse my daughter, Headmaster Antairus. She dislikes travel. It tends to make her cranky," he said, rolling his eyes a little.

Kitty is an able swimmer and seems to be able to hold her breath for an impressively long time before surfacing for air. But after a while she did have to surface and when she did the air hit like a freezer. She knew it weasn't that cold out, but the cold water made it seem so much chillier.

"M-m-m-m-michael?" she called out, looking around, trying to see where he's swam off to.

"Think nothing of it. I'm sure the leftovers from that storm did very little to make travel easier." Ryo says with a shake of his head. "Now what can I, humble headmaster of a 'provincial' school, do for you? Feiri seems to be getting along nicely as far as I can tell. Her grades are good and she has many friends. Also, if what rumors get to me are true, she is part of a new band that is quite good."

*Jaws Theme*

Kitty feels something pull on her foot, but when she looks there is nothing there... Then it happens again, a slighter stronger pull than before. When she turns to look this time though, Michael is laying in wait for a surprise kiss.

"Nothing like a little fear to warm you up, huh? The kiss probably helped though."

Apolla Helios bristled at the mention of Fieri's band. "Yes, that is just the sort of disgraceful behavior I was referring to. Wailing and caterwauling at high volume is not proper music -" Her tirade was cut short by a sharp glare from her father.

"Ahem," Fuego Helios cleared his throat as if he had never been interrupted. "It is wonderful to hear that my granddaughter is thriving in this environment. Her high spirits were ....not as well received at home," he said, as diplomatically as possible. "If it's not too much trouble, we would like very much to speak with Fieri. It has been much too long since we've had a chance to see her as she spent her summer holidays at the home of a friend and hasn't been home for a visit in a year and a half."

The teenage boy who was accompanying them stayed silent through this and held himself rigidly stiff, but his eyes held an expression of intense boredom.

Working with a bad wi-fi connection. Ugh.

She giggled and clung tightly to him, this time more for body heat than anything else.

"The ocean near my home is warmed by the currents so it's never as cold as this. I've never been swimming in such cold water before. I feel like I'm turning into an ice cube," she said, teeth chattering as her lips were starting to look a bit blue.

"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, Mrs. Helios, and not the abberation either. What is or is not music is determined by the listener." Ryo explains, noting the boys boredom and scoffing inwardly. He couldn't hold a candle to Taron's old boredom. "One moment while I see if she isn't busy."

::Feiri, I apologize for this, but your family(actually, just your granfather at the moment) has asked to see you.::

You have my sympathy. I'm looking forward to going back to school so I can use their wi-fi. My home network kicks me off roughly every ten minutes. So annoying.

"Yeah, the temperature can be so fickle when the water isn't in a pool." Michael admits as a bronze force field lifts them both slowly from the water, part of it rising to shield them from the wind. Michael sets them down close to shore, keeping the force field as a windbreaker. "I'll have to get rid of it when we get close to town, but until then... it works."

"Oneiro Mance." He whispers back. "Don't worry about the noise. I didn't sleep anyway. I had some things to research."

Fieri stepped back and smoothed the nonexistent wrinkles from her uniform. It was a more conservative uniform than she usually wore. The skirt actually came down to just above her knees and the vest was full length so that none of her midriff was exposed.

"Okay. Okay. I can do this," she said, more trying to convince herself than anything else.

"Let's go."

Jiminy teleported them to a spot just around the corner from where her family was so they wouldn't see the unconventional travel method.

Fieri walked forward, Jiminy a step behind.

"Grandfather," she said warmly. "It's so good to see you." She stopped short of hugging him because that wouldn't be proper, but she wished she could since this was probably her last chance to do so.

"Mother," she said much more coldly. And then her eyes narrowed a bit as she saw the boy. "Embre. Why did you bring him here?"

Ninja'd.

She cuddled close for warmth, barely noticing when Saffire climbed up onto the force field and curled up next to her, trying to add his tiny warmth to help make her feel better.

"You know, I like this new ability of yours. It's awfully handy."

"Fieri!" her mother exclaimed, shocked. "How dare you be so rude to your fiance?"
