"Both observations would seem to be correct, as I understand things. But Avalon does not teach such a violent philosophy to its students. Perhaps the question should be 'who wants to teach them this way of doing things?', despite their being here to learn to use their powers in harmony with others."

"A bit of an altercation, yes," Fei replies as he bows to Ephebe and Krays. He then (quickly) sums up the events of the last hour as he, Enre, Gustav and his constructs finish their cleaning job.
"Yes, professor. And I am Fei," he replies with a bow.
"Never a surname..." Vakkler grumbles.
"You know all the interesting things happen when I'm away now. I'm starting to feel like no one wants my help anymore." Asch comments dryly as he yawned revealing his fangs causing a student nearby to step back thinking he was going to attack. Apparently she heard about Dacamara.
Ephebe practically pounced on the table laden with large quantities of breakfast food she was so hungry.
"Itff noh vat no wodd wadds your hepp," she said with her mouth full of scrambled eggs. "You'ff jufft been buffy ladely."
She was unaware of her audience as a group of kids watched in disbelief as she rapidly ingested roughly five times her apparent body weight in food.
Seeing Ephebe come in and scarf down a massive amount of food, Vai's tummy grumbles, reminding her why she came in in the first place. She glances at Nasima's forehead-gem to make sure it's clear before saying: "Excuse me Nas, I'm almost as hungry as Ephebe." [i]Vai goes to the counter and gets a rather large amount of food herself, as if she hadn't eaten in 2 days. Lots of meaty things (bacon, ham, sausage) and eggs. She returns to the table Nasima is at and sits, eating rather ravenously herself.

Gustav came back from giving the water-and-dust-filled buckets to the kitchen staff. He saw the amount of food Ephebe was scarfing down. Enough for a table of men. The blonde from yesterday, Vai, passed him with her own heaped plate of food. Did I miss the notice it was Feasting Day? Are we about to get the first snow that will close the mountains? Gustav thought, looking around at the walls for a poster or tapestry announcing the holiday. This was supposed to be the bottomlands, where every day was sunny and pleasant.
Krays sits down and eats several large plates worth of food himself, but doesn't quite come to what Ephebe is inhaling...he's quite hungry after Ephebe gave him yet another reason to enjoy water...
"Oh, good morning everyone, sorry for my rudeness, but I'm quite hungry..."

"I do not know who that is, but Borin and Rintol mentioned no other names, either..."

Fei nods, though not with any sense of recognition.
"If there are any other incidents, perhaps this person should be informed of these goings-on," he ponders. The slight rumble of his own stomach, however, quickly puts a stop to such things.
"Excuse me for a moment," he says apologetically with a quick bow, then goes back to the line to get the breakfast he originally came here to get. He comes back and sits down to eat. (^.^)
"Yeah, Jeran normally does keep the others in check. They still cause trouble, but it's more under the radar sort of trouble...actually I think telling Jeran might be the best solution to keeping that from happening again. I'd volunteer, but he and I...don't really get along so great," she said, taking a brief break from eating before wolfing down a pan of bacon.
"I can go. If you'd like."

She nodded. "Thanks, love. He doesn't have any issues with you that I know of, so he should at least listen to what you have to say."
"I can come along as well, if it would be of any help. I assume this would be happening after the day's classes...?"

"I would be free after today's classes, if it can wait. I am training with sabumnim Sunwake at lunch, and I must be present for that," he says with a small nod as he finishes his food.
Gustav decided to sit down at the edge of the table (out of Ephebe's reach, just in case), listening to the others. Pulling the magicked map out of his shirt, he consulted where he had to go for his first class. Gustav wondered if they rang a bell here, like the one-room school back home.
"After classes it is."
"Good luck with the talk, if you need me I will be in the library after class. Talk to you guys later." Enre than heads off to class.
Now, Jim gets moving to class, having been distracted by his tinkerings.
Vai siddled down the table to sit next to Gustav, motioning for Nasima to follow. She'd been awfully quiet this morning. Still eating at a decent pace, Vai swallows and says: "So... you can make pink stuff?" [i]she says and immediately blushes, realizing she sounds a bit silly.
Jiminy looked almost as bad as he felt, but he made the effort. Even put on a school uniform. First time he'd worn one since picture day. He should probably stay in bed, but he could feel Fieri's nervousness and he wasn't about to leave her alone. He was planning on sticking to her like glue today since they weren't sure at what time her family was going to show up.
Taking his tray up, Oneiro takes a moment to check his schedule and map again. A new class had shown up this morning -some arcana class with Professor Reading- and he wanted to double check the route he was taking.
"Gotta get the textbook on the way too." He mutters as he heads to class. "Better hurry."

"I don't know where it comes from - the ectoplasm, I mean." Gustav replied, one hand still holding his scrolled map. "One of the dwarven elders said something about 'outside' and 'Astral Plane', but to me it's like dipping a bucket in a lake after the spring runoffs. Always there and always full." A loud chime interrupted any other comment he might have had. Gustav looked up at the ceiling, trying to find the bell. "Was that what I think it was?" he asked.
Despite an odd feeling of foreboding, Vakkler turns and heads to his office.
Gustav wandered around. He looked down at his scroll map. "This is the second time I've been down this hallway. Where's the door?" the boy asked no one. Then he saw the compact staircase. Gustav looked at his map again, doing a double-take. "Stupid flat map." he muttered, and started running up the stairs.
Khassar follows the arrows to where the Advance PE Class is.
Jim follows the internal map he created towards Advanced PE, where he hopes to break a proverbial sweat.
"Silly Saffire. That fish was five times your size. Next time pick dinner that you can actually carry. And don't forget that you need to breathe too," she scolded.
"It did look like you were at least giving it a tough fight though. Did you try zapping it with your lightning? In a lake this size only the thing you shot at would be effected. I should look into getting you gills..." Having entered his scientific state of mind, Michael drifts around, thinking as he stares up into the trees.
Phaezeriel gathers his crystal staff from the table and heads to his first class, relieved not to have been blamed for the trouble for once. This place has certainly been a very welcome change so far!
Vai scarfs down the rest of her food when the tone rings, pausing to reply to Gustav "Your guess is as good as mine, but judging by the sudden activity, I'm guessing class is about to start." Did he say dwarves? Nasty creatures if my Mom is to be believed. Vai stands, feeling quite heavy after the large meal, but satisfied. Unfurling the piece of paper that Professor Sunwake had given her, she sees her first class is the Introduction to Magic class with Professor Reading. She smiles in anticipation. "Well Gustav, I hope you have a good day. You too Nas'!" Vai waves goodbye to the oddly quiet Nasima, depositing the breakfast dishes where she saw Fei do so and heads to her first class.
