Krays walks over and puts his arm around her, as if to help her walk.

"Mom, I'm really tired. I'm going to go up to my room now, okay? I just need some rest after all of that," she said just a shade too brightly.
"Okay, sweetie. You get some rest. And if you need anything you call. And you can't complain about us being overprotective for at least a week after this, you know," she said, kissing Ephebe gently on the forehead before stepping aside so Krays could help Ephebe upstairs.
"Nasima, Vai, the two of you are more than welcome to stay here tonight if you like. There's a spare bedroom next to Ephebe's room if you want it. Or one of us can escort you back to your rooms to make sure you get there safely if you'd prefer that. And Percy...well. You've seen a lot on this mission that we're absoliutely relying on you to be discreet about. I hope that we can count on you for this?"
"Yes, Sifu, of course." Percy gives a formal and polite bow. Obviously Sifu Daiyu's training is pretty thorough. "Not a word. I only went along to help, and to heal, and I'm glad I did."
"Oh that's okay Mrs. Sunwake. Thank you, but I'll go back to my room. I want to shower and change and all my stuff is there. I promise I won't fall asleep in the hallway again." She gives 'Phebe a silly look.
"Wait, what? Since when has Keaton been cured of being a vampire?! Nobody told me either!" she said, walking downstairs in time to hear the last part of the conversation.

"Of course. What kind of sister wouldn't go along with a petty revenge scheme for keeping that kind of news a secret," she said, laughing.
Ephebe climbed gratefully into bed. She was so tired, and needed a chance to escape from things she wasn't ready to deal with yet. For a little while anyways. She held on to Krays's hand.

He sits and watches Ephebe sleep, and realizes this is the happiest he's been in a very long time.
"Thank you, Professor Sunwake." Vai replies seriously, "I will stay here tonight if that's okay. Too much has happened that made me realize I don't know enough about myself or my powers. I want to learn to control them better, so I can do more than sit on the enemy." She chuckles at the last sentence. Well it was true.

"Alright, well then, I'll show you to your room. And then when I get back we can discuss petty revenge schemes against our no-longer-undead brother," she said to Ryo with a chuckle. "You did very well today, Vai. Especially considering your lack of combat experience and lack of any experience at all with your new abilities. I'm very proud of you."
She showed Vai upstairs and opened a door leading to a very cozy looking bedroom. "You can stay here for tonight. Make yourself at home."
Vai smiles inwardly at the Professor's praise. She was proud of her. Something Vai had never really heard her own mother say. Vai falls asleep, feeling warm, safe, and most importantly, happy.
Asch is wandering around the school grounds via the shadows when he feels a shift in the shadow weaves he was laying down. Multiple people teleported into a an unused section underneath the school. "That's odd…search out and report back to me." He says as he forms a small humanoid out of shadows and it nods and fades from site. Reappearing in a kitchen where the Darkling became distracted by the smell of food.

Aananda comes back to the living room and sits down.
"I'm glad to see that Vai is already doing so much better. It's good to see this place really helping her."

"I believe he was wondering how long it would take me to notice he had a pulse again." Ryo explains. "I don't think that's a very good reason. Do you?

"I think we should pretend we haven't noticed just long enough to make him drink the serum again, or at least something that tastes like it. When he was a vampire his sense of taste wasn't the best, but I believe we can assume it is much stronger now."
"As long as we have Razzule make it extra nasty tasting, and don't believe him if he tries to tell us and in fact force him to drink the nasty tasting pseudo elixir...that works for me," she said with a mischievous grin.
"My thoughts exactly. In fact, I would suggest acting like we're worried the serum isn't working because he's resisting. We can be quite convincing you know."
Meanwhile, back in Avalon, the concert has wound down and kids are starting to trickle back to their respective rooms.
"I'm not usually a fan of things that get me surrounded by bullies, but this was pretty fun." Michael tells Kitty as they leave. "Even considering the dragon thing's attack, this was a pretty good night."

"They're not all bullies you know," she said, happily holding his hand as they walked back to the dorm. "Some of them are just like us...desperately hoping that none of the really strong kids notice them. Or that they'll suddenly miraculously become socially ept. And some of them are just too busy with their own problems to notice what's going on around them....The bad ones are too self-absorbed to care. And then there are the ones who are angry at the world because of all the crap they went through before they got here. They seem to think that hurting other people will somehow make their pain less.....As it turns out being invisible to everyone gives you a lot of chances to observe. I've been doing a lot of observing. And I should probably shut up now before we end up having our second ever fight, while the possibility of a good-night kiss is still an option."

"In all seriousness though, I just want you to be able to see the kids here the way I've been able to see them. It's really surprising how many of them aren't anything at all like what you'd expect them to be."

A chill runs down Michael's spine as he realizes there is a way he could see the way Kitty does. The idea though... well, she hopefully didn't mean it like that and he was over thinking it.

She smiled at him. "Okay. And I hope I didn't offend you....you got this weird expression like I just suggested you wear shoes on your head and walk upside down. I just meant that I wish that it were easier to explain to you sometimes, because we have such different perspectives.
"Yes. Well, hopefully he won't be out of commission too long. Fieri has a family visit coming up, and from what little I've been told it's not likely to be a pleasant one."
"Family issues. A very common thing we've had to deal with, isn't it? We're going to become professionals at it one of these days."

If I was a part of this I would suggest something that changes skin color in irregular splotches of extremely bright colors. But I'm not so I won't. Good night." With that, Kam heaves himself out of the chair and heads back to Taron's room, wing tips dragging on the floor.
"Good night, Kamenwati. Sleep well." ::And thank you for bringing Taron safely home. I know it can't have been easy when he was in that state. And no, I'm not saying that as if I'm surprised. You love him. I am glad for that, that he has someone who cares for him so much. I know that, because of that, he'll be able to come back again from the awful place he sent himself this time.::

It's just...Taron is currently out of commission, James is as well and even if he recovers in the next day or so will be rather busy dealing with his mate's family difficulties, and I rather suspect that Ephebe is going to be rather occupied by personal stuff for the next little bit. It's a really bad time for another crisis....not that that ever stopped any of them before."

Kitty hugged him. "I'm still so proud of you for that. Well, and for rescuing Saffire too for that matter. You are a long ways from normal, and that is definitely a compliment."
An odd group of travelers approach the gate of the school. In lead of the group is Enre, he is followed by a large wagon. In the bed of the wagon are piles of books that are tied down with rope. The wagon has a man controlling the horse who seems to be in his thirties. He is a average looking man with brown hair and glasses. He seems very impressed with the school as he looks at it.
Behind the wagon was the strange part of the group. There was a massive lion with black and white fur, looking around at it's surrounding, sniffing the air as it moved. This in of its self would of be strange enough but the lion was mounted. On top of the lion was two individuals, one looked as a knight in full plate that was so polished the light that reflected off of it might blind others. Sitting in front of the knight was a woman in a hooded cloak. The woman looks at the school before turning and whispering something to the knight. Nodding the knight begins to speak in a rich voice that seemed to come from a noble or a king "So Enre this is the school you told us so much about. Seems to be a very nice place, are you sure we will be of use here?"
Enre turns to look at the knight "I am sure, Basileus. You and Lessien will be a great help to the school." He than looks at the lion "We best find somewhere for Regulus and the horses to stay while we speak with the Headmaster come on than." Enre than takes them to a place to do just that. He than begins to putting the books in a magical bag once finished with the books he starts speaking once more "Well than lets go see the Headmaster."
Nodding the groups follows Enre as he leads them around the school once at the Headmaster's office he knocks on the door waiting for the Headmaster to answer.
