Jeran looks at her, bewildered. The blood and smells fading away was unusual. If he had been in wolf form his ears would have flattened against his head at this strangeness. Instead he tried to look less intimidating than usual, with the usual mixed success.

"I'm sorry...I don't understand. Do you speak common? You should come inside the school," he said, pointing at the building behind him. "I can show you to the infirmary."

"Should I go see..? I mean, he helped me. I wanna return the favor..." Of course, the rest of the cafeteria was between him and Jeran, and that was an awfully big crowd...

Shaking her head in the universal 'no', as he asks the question regarding Common-- again, he can tell she's able to understand him, but unable to reply.

A cursory look of her figure, which the cotton thing does little to really hide natural assets, suggests that this isn't daily worn clothing, unless she's from some land where thin, white, cotton robes are the norm. She seems untanned, and unadorned with jewelry, though there is one tattoo that seems to stand out on her upper right chest.

The cotton robes block sight of the tattoo, but just looking at it gives an uneasy feeling.

Unsure if Jeran has Knowledge: Arcana or what, do advise, I'll add more details in next post if so. Current assumption is no.

Pointing again, back towards nothing, she makes a circular motion, as if something opens or widens, some running motions, and then the falling, while 'looking'. No words this time, her effort to convey without speaking.

She has at this point stood up, with or without his help. She frowns and looks around, goes to talk, but stops... trying to sort something out but the language barrier prevents the opportunity.

Someone near Pyry says rudely, "Jeran? Oh, he better run -- do you know what he did? Maybe he'll finally leave the damn school..."

A slightly gruff looking person, scowling as he walks by and tosses his finished meal rudely into the waste, as he walks off with another thuggish looking, lean, mean (and scruffy) person.

He had awkwardly offered her a hand up, but he timed it badly and she was already standing up by that point.

He's not really getting it. He guesses there's some kind of portal involved, but charades really aren't his game. He makes a sign that she should follow him and starts to walk towards the school, then stops, waiting to see if she follows him.

Jeran doesn't really know anything about magic. Lycan society is very anti-magic with a few rare exceptions. He's not one of them.

Asha Soleil wrote:

Turning and walking backwards away, the rude person from before says, "Failed his pack-- that's what he did, the coward. He's a quitter-- good for nothing. Didn't have the stones to stay lead."

Pyry wrote:

The other snarls derisively and pushes his buddy along, as they exit the scene. "Let's leave -- Jeran's mixing it up with the nobodies again, typical."

They clearly have no love for Jeran.

Asha shrinks back from the two who were speaking. She didn't like their body language. They scared her. She was angry when they called them nobodies, but there wasn't really anything she could do about it...

It would be noted that she didn't appear 'scared' of Jeran, though she did seem calmer now, and worry remained on her features.

With a sigh, though, she nodded at Jeran and put her hands together, in a supplicant's sort of stance, body language suggesting he was in charge and she'd follow behind him, the motions of someone who was a slave in their culture.

Just as that happens, behind her, the air tears open silently and suddenly, and stepping outwards, in a tattered robe, with glassless frames on, holding a snapped wand, steps Tryko'Sam with a s@## eating grin. His outfit is charred, and ripped in spots.

Through the two dimensional portal that popped open, there's the smell of burnt flesh, stone and metal. Just as quickly as the portal opens though, it shuts and the charismatic black haired, green eyed young adult, looking quite the stud in his robes, eyes Jeran.

"Oh, good day, sirrah. I er... am a wizard." Tryko'Sam states as he takes in the scene. Then he seems to realize where he is and is in motion, looking at Jeran and says, "Hey! Quick-- I need a place that's anti-magic, or something, she might be traced... crazy demon cultist s@*# going on, pretty sure." He looks around and Jeran would realize he's not paying attention to /here/ as much, or at the same time.

Smells wise, nothing of Tryko'Sam really stands out, but what he's wearing and such, blood, sweat, saliva, burnt things, does.

The girl looks over and seems 'happy' to see Tryko'Sam again, losing her slave like manner. She clearly knows him.

Jeran sighed. "You're not a wizard. You don't smell like ink. I don't know why they all smell like ink, but they do. You know this girl? Alright. I was going to show her to the infirmary, but demon cultist escapee merits going straight to the Headmaster," he said, trying not to stare at Tryko'Sam.

"Listen, buddy-- unless you can whip up some mumbojumbo anti-magic shortly, there's a good chance that they might stop being pissed at me long enough to scope her out and ..."

The instant smell of sulfur hits the air around Jeran, and apparently, Tryko'Sam smells it too.

Two demonic looking things materialize right next to his left and right, slathering and drooling, plus oozing something not pretty.

"Fu--" Tryko'Sam goes to say, when they attack him.

He's pretty fast, dodging one, but the other one manages to slash his backside, while the girl screams bloody murder and cowers back in abject horror. Their demonic 'essence' spilling out into the terrace with it's bench, plants wilting at the sheer presence of chaos and violence made flesh.

Blood gushes out of Tryko'Sam's shoulder, part of his bones and flesh exposed, and barely dangling onto his torso, as he nearly takes a knee, squinting at the pain and looking to where they stand with him.

Beneath the three, the ground does that same portal thing, but Jeran can see into it, and what he sees is corridors of stone, with husks of charred bones and similar to before.

Tryko'Sam goes intentionally falling into the portal, and the demons fall after him, as he's their target. He vanishes from sight though, as Jeran realizes that the Wards just kick in, and he's not dead-- infirmary time. The demons and Tryko'Sam both appear 'surprised' by this turn of events.

Jeran /could/ chase, the portal appears to linger for that moment, before it's the next few moments and will shut as quietly and quickly as it opened.

He also has an opportunity to lash out at the demon looking things, while dodging the portal easily.

Your call, Lynora. Fall through, kick something in the head, or help the lady. :) Or surprise me with another option, just listing some simple choices. Threw you a question of sorts in Discussion too.

I forget, where are we?

Inside a morning breakfast filled Cafeteria with lots of students talking and what not?

Jeran's immediate response to danger is to get the helpless, annoyingly screaming girl out of danger. He picks her up by the waist and runs towards the door, shoving her inside, turning to help the fake wizard boy with the demons just in time to see him teleported away.

The moment that the wards catch up with Tryko'Sam, they also catch up with the demons who vanish with a pop. The demons find themselves caught in a strange white room from which they cannot leave. They are just stuck there.

In the meantime, Jeran half considers jumping through the portal, but...well, he didn't have enough information. And he wasn't about to throw his life away for nothing. He needed to find that boy in the infirmary and find out what all of this was about first. He turned and quickly headed back inside to find the girl who had hopefully stopped screaming.

Vickory, having gotten bored with conversation with Adon had just left the cafeteria to suddenly have some girl tossed through a door right in front of her. The torn clothes get noticed if for the damage rather then anything else.

"Hi, are you okay?"

Meanwhile, out front...

"Alright, folks, put your luggage on this cart over here and it will be sent to your rooms later on. No sense dragging it around all day."

Once all the luggage was sorted out Sorchan pushed the cart inside in front of him, beckoning for the children to follow.

"Follow me to the office where we'll get you all through the enrollment paperwork in time to get you to first period class. Anyone under twelve will be going to the elementary school. We'll have someone come and escort you over there. For the rest of you, in the high school you'll have six class periods every day. You will be required to take PE...it stands for physical education. It's important to keep fit in order to be healthy. You may choose up to five other classes depending on your interests, or you can keep one free period for working on homework or other projects if you like. Please ignore the insanity on the way...you'll have plenty of time to participate in it after this, but paperwork first," he said as he led the group through the hallway towards the office.

Tybalt's ears sit stark upright and his nose twitches.
"Ya. Screaming. And blood. Demon stuff."
He lists off the 'diagnosis' of the situation.
He stands up on the chair.
"I think it looks OK. Demons are gone. Screaming girl is inside. Probably going to the infirmary. I think going in now, we might be in the way more than we would help."
I'm going to say that since Jeran was on the way, Tybs didn't need to intervene. That's for when there's no one else that could help.

Female [Classified] Bard 16 / [classified] 16

Mel looks to Tybs, you sure everything is alright? it isn't another attack is it? Mel has a little bit of a worried look on her face when she recalls the attack the other day.

To those that know Mel, she usually never has a worried look on her.

They are across the cafeteria and heading out the door so you probably wouldn't notice them, unless you are noticing Asha and her reaction to them before they leave.

On cell phone, single finger typing while eating, be warned!

The teen in her slightly torn, yet no fit for most culture's norms, robes, is Lycan handled and carried away. Her screaming dies when hauled off away from the demonic duo, and she holds firmly onto Jeran-- in a fairly classic fireman carry, or in arms, photo moment if anyone were taking pictures.

Given that to the majority of the Cafeteria assembled, the exit of Jeran initially and his return with scantly clad female, to drop her off, and then glance back takes all of ten to twenty seconds, many don't mind, but the more horny sorts eye the girl, in their own ways.

Jeran scores some points for the scene, as Vickory slithers over and casually asks the girl if she's alright.

She'd stopped screaming before, but, backs up a step and towards Jeran in clear fear, though not outright terror, due to Vickory's snake half.

She then peers around at the combined sight of various folks, cafeteria, and slumps into his torso, fainting.

Jeran can opt to catch her or not. He's skilled.

The cafeteria returns to its usual manner shortly there after, blaise people having weathered more, jaded by their hyper stressed lives (or whatever).

If you would like, Perception roll, and Knowledge Arcana, please.

Also, for my awareness, is it permanent via item or spell? Otherwise, typically it doesn't last that long, 1 minute per level.

Vickory would notice, nearly immediately, that the tattoo she spots underneath the girl's skimpy outfit, is in fact, an Arcane Mark, coupled with a permanent Comprehend Languages spell.

"Oh! You are feeling better today!" she said with a cheerful smile. "Those two? I don't know who they were. They were telling me about another student who helped my brother...and they weren't saying very nice things. The way they spoke...worried me," she added blushing a little. "But...maybe it doesn't mean anything. You were pretty scary too the first time I met you."

Male Humanoid

As politely as he could, once he appeared in the Infirmary, Tryko'Sam assured the nurse that came running in, that he was ...

"... just fine! Honest, false alarms. You'll get used to this. I assure you-- Look! No blood, just a torn robe shoulder area, and see? full range of motion. Ha, ha, very funny. Call me 'Wolfboy'. Good as new."

He twirled his arm at the shoulder for effect, demonstrating what he said was real, while 'adjusting' the glasses on his face.

The nurse looked at him perplexed, since she'd had ever indication that someone was mortally wounded and needed immediate assistance, why else would they be transported here, plus, some of these youngster were incredibly charming and handsome.

With a smirk on his face, seeing her motives dance around on her features, Tryko'Sam says, while putting a warm hand on her wrist and rising up off the bed, "I will assure anyone, who asks, that you tended to me with tender loving care and sent me on my way, alright? I have to go help someone-- please."

He knew that the cultist guys were tracking the girl, this wasn't the first time he'd evaded them, nor the third, and his plans went to hell when those 'things' appeared out of no where the last time. Oh well, good intentions and all, she had to be protected, given what he'd seen, that's all that mattered.

Rising up, and pushing against the hands of the nurse, he almost dared her to get physical or demanding, which she ...found very hard to do.

Once she relented, having taken up half a minute of his time or so, he started for the door-- it would take mere moments to scout her out, less if the school didn't shift up all the time.

>> Ah hell. I lost Tybalt's wand. <<

He made for the doorway out.

The girl's nearly visible, bare, behind, does very little to contribute to the conversation, though Jeran can hear and feel her chest against his back, taking breaths.

No undies on her, if that matters-- but she is remarkably 'clean', save for smudges and such on her knees and hands, where she fell, grass stains. Her feet are slightly soot stained, or dusty from ...well, dust.

She's not coming too right away, nor does Jeran know when she might. Thankfully her ribs aren't going to implode either from this position.

"Pyry, this is...ummm....I know you're not actually named cylindrical, but for some reason that's all I can come up with when I try to remember your name," she said to Sil apologetically. "Sorry. Whoever this young lady is, she is fairly attractive, and potentially more so given her position, atop Jeran's shoulder, in the state she's in.

That alone is garnering some attention from the lookie loos that are around, especially if they haven't started to leave the Cafeteria yet.

She also smells really clean, and of roses and various other herbs that denote innocence in various cultures, or cleanliness.

Can't see if you actually started walking or not, Jeran-- just threw her on the shoulders, though Vickory is 'following'.

Yes, sorry, was going to edit last post, but don't want to cause confusion. They have started walking towards the infirmary.
