I wouldn't worry about him being a bit of a prankster. As long as he's not drafting up contracts to steal your soul I think you're fine.' Ehos replies, still a bit of mirth in his eyes, obviously not terribly serious. He does glance in the direction of the commotion outside when it occurs, but seeing others rush in that direction, turns his attention back to.
'I'm gonna go sit back with my girl, thanks again goo-guy.' Ehos says with a bright smile.
"Perhaps we shall meet again Ehos," Kiara says as she resumes her breakfast.

Vickory West |

Smirking at the start of Vickory's declaration, Tryko'Sam waits for her to finish, replying, "With all due respect, pointy eared, black haired, snake girl, who is nearly naked, no. I've been busy. I meant the natural rotations of this planet, versus the time I experienced, which aren't the same. Rest assured, the universe isn't fixed to your perceptions and experiences as fact, though I get your point. Buuut, I'd be touched if you did come to my rescue in hours, versus days. You never know when someone pins me down. Just make sure, if you would, you don't barge in should some gorgeous red headed princess is rewarding me for dispatching a dragon, or something, know what I mean?"
Grinning like the Cheshire Cat, he waits on Vickory's reactions. The others, if perceptive, would realize he's studying them all, staying alert.
Vickory rolls her eyes, "I'm not naked, I can defend myself quite well, and I understand multiple time streams, you should of been tracking, particularly since you, at least in theory, need to be here for things." after a brief pause, "Why would barging in while getting rewarded be a bad thing?"

"Should have been tracking ...what? The passage of time? No thanks. All I know is time passes, I go with it. That's enough. See?" holding up his left wrist, "No watch."
Looking her over again he adds, "Not naked? All you have on is a cloak. Is that considered well dressed and not displaying yourself where you come from?" He grins at the statement. "Guess your culture's different."
Then he folds his arms again on his chest and says, "Well, if you have to ask about barging in ..."
He'll stand there smiling with the semi-smirk, bemused.

Tryko'Sam |

"Well dressed? So naked has to do with clothes? Sorry but my courtly wear got left behind, and as this is not court, what do I need it for?"
Vickory seems perplexed by the direction of conversation though still a little bit insulted.
Squinting a bit while considering Vickory, Tryko'Sam says, "You know-- I don't think you are actually listening to me. So I'm going to stop talking now. My points are being missed, or intentionally ignored. I'll just chalk it up to a cultural barrier. Probably my doing, being an off world-er."
He smirks after saying that and falls quiet. A quick glance or two towards Jeran then to Cassesus with his huge pistol afterward.
"Maybe you can find someone to explain it, the near naked bit. Doesn't seem to bother you, so I'm dropping it as a possible issue. Certainly true, this isn't some court." He adds after the look, clearly feeling the urge to share this last bit.

Vickory West |

"We're both from other worlds, and I didn't see a point in responding to your time comment, I simply noted that you have an unnaturally poor sense of time, and won't likely ever care, unless you have the ability to actually go backwards and show up in the past, which seems improbable, but I'm not ruling anything out in this place. And you never completed your last thought on the barging in on rewards, thus no response to that. And since you brought up the naked issue you can explain the issue, preferably later as it sounds like it will be a long explanation. And don't be so insulting next time, please."

Tryko'Sam |

Doing a double take, while looking back at Vickory, Tryko'Sam then shakes his head and looks back towards the Professor.
He certainly doesn't appear to have a response for Vickory after her last comments.

David.De'Foul |

Dave looks at his hands in shock, the heat haze abruptly gone. He looks about to bolt, when Melody's little speech goes on, he turns to her and tries to answer her, his throat suddenly thick and dry, "I.... I gotta go... Need some space... Sorry" and he dimension doors out of the room onto the roof, where he shouts out his breath weapon in a fit of anguish where he breaks down and cries

Casseus Rex |

"Am I missing something? What does any of this have to do with cultists, and why the f+%$ do you keep staring at my gun?"

Tryko'Sam |

"Am I missing something? What does any of this have to do with cultists, and why the f!~@ do you keep staring at my gun?"
"You may be missing something, patience, perhaps? I think Vickory was," he says completely dead pan, "trying to impress me with her keen observation skills, but I'm really not your type, Vicky-- terribly sorry. It just wouldn't work." He gives an apologetic look at that, holding out the trinket with her likeness to return.
Continuing after that he says, "Pretty sure I'm gabbing it up while waiting on the Kingpiness of Security here to give us her assessment of the situation as I know it. Then we'll probably go blasting those cultists yer yearning to put down like rabid dogs. Insanity shalt suffer to live another day, fret not. I'm also trying to imagine the caliber size of that behemoth, and what it'd do if you went moose hunting with it, among other things." He grins at the latter part.
A quick glance back to the Professor, and he's back to waiting with arms folded.

Aanandareavekki |

"If you're all done chatting?" Aananda says, waiting to make sure that they're not going to interrupt her.
"No, I am not vomiting because of stress dealing with students. It's morning sickness. Even worse than the first time around, and that's saying something. Which I believe I told you before, Tryko'Sam. Your memory still seems to have gaps in it. So if I run off mid-conversation, it's nothing personal."
"Vickory, was it? We don't have much of a dress code at this school, but we do require that you wear clothes. Naked or mostly naked is not okay in public...and what else would that refer to besides clothing or the lack of it? Regardless, school uniforms are provided for you. You'll find them in your room. Or if those aren't to your taste, you can find extra clothing in the lost and found. Either way, that cloak just isn't going to work long term. You're one stray breeze away from violating the dress code."
"Now, on to more important matters. There is a girl in the infirmary that you brought back with you. What does she have to say about all of this? Obviously there is a need to intervene if they are sacrificing people or at least causing them to become possessed. But it's also important to have sufficient information before just charging in."

Tryko'Sam actually smiles at the mention/thought of Aananda being pregnant. "Congratulations," he says completely devoid of his 'jovial/bad humor/smirky' mannerisms.
"Happy to keep this simple and smaller. I started it, my problem, didn't intend to drag more folks in, but, spilled milk and all at this point. I do appreciate," he glances at Jeran, "you stepping up back there at the garden. Things were getting squirrel-y with the tattoo, I suppose." He probably just muttered 'magic' under his breath at that point.
"If what Jeran was suggesting is true, I did this sort of thing all the time back in the day-- least, I remember doing it. It seems right, and saved lives. Even if this girl is some reversal of roles thing, an evil entity that needs to be purged and these other folk are a cult of good worshipers sending her on her way to get her soul redeemed, crazy notion, but hey, pretty sure my instincts aren't off and she's the innocent sacrifice type. What's the simplest way to get her talking? Someone here able to do that language trick?"
He glances between those assembled.
"If someone wants to go talk with her, sort that part out, I can get some mapping down, and see if there are others like her-- or a prison or something. Maybe all we really need to do here is pluck some folks out and call it a day? Unless it's ...acceptable, to wipe out the crazy cultists for thinking crazy. Maybe they're drinking the Kool-Aid from childhood? Not sure what to do there. I mean... yah. Dunno. This isn't the same planet I was on prior. New rules and all. Only been here a short while. I certainly didn't want to drag anyone in who wasn't interested. Casuals don't need apply, I take this seriously."
He waits on others to speak their thoughts as well.

Casseus Rex |

"Well, I can talk direct her mind of I'm close enough. I don't need to know her language. Devil perks." he says with a shrug.

Aanandareavekki |

"Hang on, I think I have just the thing. It's only a prototype, but I can whip up a few more...it'll only take a few minutes," she said, rummaging through a drawer.
"How the blazes did this drawer get so disorganized? The whole lab was destroyed over the weekend. I had to rebuild everything from scratch, including all my prototypes...good thing I keep a mobile copy of the data...it hasn't even had time to get this messy," she complained as she rifled through the drawer until she finally triumphantly pulled out a small device designed to hook over the ear.
Think earpiece like you would use with a cell phone.
"Here we are. This is a translation matrix. Should act like a tongues spell. I think. Probably. I haven't actually tested it yet. But the theory is sound. Perhaps someone can use it while Casseus uses his telpathic ability to verify that it's working correctly?"

Tryko'Sam |

"Okay, so big red guy, with hand cannon, shaved stumps on forehead, and telepathy chats with sacrificial girl, while we listen in. Cool. Jeran, you're the official planetary protector, you want the device? I tend to break tech far too easily, like other delicate things; patience, feelings, planets. Horror show that I am. Plus if she's still in that frilly robe, I might not listen too well. I'm really easily distracted by virgin sacrifices. Thank God she's a natural blonde."
He chuckles at his silly jest, ending up with a grin too.

"It's okay, kitty, it was just a bad dream. I'd never let you get put in a box like that, not without a fight. I'll keep you safe."

Casseus Rex |

Casseus guffaws at this, and slaps Tryko on the back.
"I know right? Well I'll do what can, so I'm down with the plan."
Jeran Darkclaw |

"I think you have that backwards. I'm pretty sure that we're supposed to use the device to talk to her while Casseus uses his telepathy to make sure that the translation isn't wonky. And sure, I have no problem with taking it. It's not that different from some of the comm equipment we've had to use."

Aanandareavekki |

Grinning after the guffaw, Tryko'Sam smiles.
"Well, I suppose the real question now is... Do we get an indefinite hall pass to investigate?"
"I don't know about indefinite. But as long as you keep me informed of your progress from time to time, I'll make sure that you are excused from classes until this matter is dealt with."

Casseus Rex |

"Ok then. Get your ear-thingies, and follow me, I guess. To the infirmary!"

Tryko'Sam |

Nodding his agreement, Tryko'Sam says, "Let get this, or her, or whatever, done."
He'll go with the others to the infirmary for the chatting.
Mah posting might be a tad slower today, but will continue the scene when a majority of you folks are in the infirmary, ready to chat with girl.

Kezzin |

Kezzin finishes his breakfast and looks up at the clocks in the cafeteria, then back at Marcell, "It seems we do not have time before my first class for a flying lesson, sorry. Just watch what I do and try to duplicate it, you will be fine. Good luck!" With that, he collects his tray and leaps into the air, swoops past the tray return and out the cafeteria doors.

Jessa Mar'Niell |

Nala smiled, happy to see that at least for now she was dealing with the non-psychotic version. "Well, that seems like a reasonable request, Jessa. I wasn't sure what you like to eat so I got a little bit of everything," she added setting the breakfast tray down on a table so Jessa could eat.
"I'm just going to examine your brain wave readings from the night while you eat, but I'm available to talk as well if you have any questions or anything."
Jessa seems to accept this with no problems and sits at the table to eat what was brought. Though there is much more than an average girl her size should need, she eats steadily and without apparent preference until all the food is gone.
PM inbound, Nala.

"Hello again." She looks between the three men and the girl. "Here for our nameless young girl? I've done some initial scans and applied a mild sedative, she woke up and nearly slipped into hysterics."
Guiding them to the room with the blonde girl, the nurse continues, "So, she doesn't speak Common, her body was mildly poisoned with some sort of hallucinogenic and sedative, which we are filtering, and she seems otherwise healthy. Muscles are atrophied for her age, no noticeable wounds or injuries. Someone kept her very clean, groomed. She's physically pre-adult, my best estimate. We changed her outfit, so she wouldn't be cold and covered up. Can you explain anything about her condition?"
Updating the nurse, things are made clear and she gives the all clear to talk with the girl.

Blonde: "Yes, ma... master. She understands." She doesn't make eye contact with anyone, mostly looking down in a subservient manner. At least, this is what Jeran hears via his translator. She shifts into a kneeling position on the bed, head bowed down.
For ease of chatting, let's presume that someone translates, otherwise-- I'm happy assuming that Jeran does not. Just advise in the post please how you proceed. She does not speak Common.

Vickory West |

When Tryko tries to return the trinket, "I don't know what you mean by type, but that is for communicating. If you hate it so much I'll take it after the mission is over."
After that though, Vickory seems to be mulling things over in her mind, though she looks distinctly unhappy when Rex mentions using telepathy.
---
When in the infirmary, Vickory goes to the other side of the space from Rex, distancing herself from his telepathy.
"She seems completely subservient. Must have been in captivity for some time. We see it sometimes in the slaves of the empire back home."

Tybalt Baneko |

Tybalt has not moved from the place where he landed on the floor. His legs out in front of him, one straight, one tented upwards with his tail limp to the side. His weight rests on his hand paws, put and behind him.
The insides of his ears and paw pads that are usually a soft, cool blue and almost white now. His eyes have lost the usual bright, interested look and animated spark and seem slightly dulled. Not the usual deep aqua blue, but instead cold light blue.
He does not move.
He hardly blinks.
He just stares at the place where Dave no longer is with a broken, shattered look on his face. Like everything right in the world was ended violently before him.

Translator turned on and hopefully functioning, Jeran puts a hand on her shoulder briefly. "Please look up. You are not a slave here. You do not have to bow. My name is Jeran. I would like to ask you some questions about where you came from."

She hugged him tightly. "It just felt so real."
A crash from the general direction of the living room seemed to at least temporarily snap her out of it.
"I guess we should rescue the house from Sappire and Nova before they break all of your Okaa-sama's things," she said with a wobbly smile.

Doing as instructed, not due to the choice of words given, the blonde looks up (though not to make eye contact). She clearly looks confused when she speaks.
She waits, apparently patiently.

Looking at Jeran, Tryko'Sam waits for feedback, but apparently doesn't wait too long, asking, "We good?"

Having arrived at the cafeteria after the outburst, Tami heads for the table where she sees Mel sitting. When she gets closer she sees Tybalt lying on the floor, looking like he's in shock.
"What happened?" she asked, concerned. "Tybalt?" She kneels down next to him, examining him, but not touching him for fear of causing pain. "I think maybe we should take him to the infirmary. Normally I'd say to get a blanket, but...maybe an ice pack?"

Tryko'Sam |

"I'm not sure. I understand her just fine, but I'm not sure if she understands me."
He turns back to the girl. "Can you tell us your name, please?"
It's fairly apparent that the device needs work, she doesn't appear to recognize what Jeran says to her.
She does, however, ask, "What has she done wrong? How may she serve?"
-----
Tryko'Sam frowns, not understanding the girl's end of things, as it's coming out in non-Common.
"Someone got a tongues spell, or whatever? Might make life easier. Tech failure."

Alys Himuro |

In front of the school, the flying carpet approaches quickly, descending and coming to a stop just in front of the gates to Avalon about eight inches off the ground. The girl kneeling on the carpet does not move for a moment. Then, with a deep breath, she stands and steps off the carpet. The carpet rolls itself around the bundle that remained upon it and floats up to her waiting grasp.
She is dressed in an informal, white kimono with small foxes embroidered on the cuffs of her sleeves. Her long hair is black, and her eyes are a very dark brown with a distinct tilted, almond shape. To anyone who has spent a long time at the school, her features look vaguely familiar.
After another moment, she begins walking into the school and starts heading for the Headmaster's office. On the way there she removes an envelope from her kimono, and whispers three words to it causing it to fly into the air and vanish down a corridor.

Lurch the Narrator |

An envelope with two words written on it in an elegant hand flits through the upper reaches of the corridors.
Wherever Genosuke may be, the envelope finds himcoming to a hover at chest height with the words facing him. The hand is distinctly feminine, and the words read Honored Uncle.
Inside is a single sheet of high quality paper with a short missive written on it in the same hand:

Mel looks a bit saddened by Dave's actions but she does not want to jusdge him.
looking to Tybs she puts out her hand. Come on Tybs get off the floor, you catch a warm she says with a reassuring smile.

Tybalt Baneko |

Tybalt is slightly taken out of the obvious shock he was experiencing.
His eyes focus on her slightly, only regaining the smallest fragment of motion behind them.
He gently shakes his head and pushes back slightly.
He resumes the curled up position he often takes.
The cool metal protection wall that was around him the last time, the only thing that would help right now, is gone, along with the even slight beginnings of warmth that it brought back. And if he feels anything at all right now, it's that it likely won't be back.
The striking vulnerability that had left when he found here-him- was back. The feeling that prompted the ability to make walls. The one that followed since the day the ice broke into his life and locked around his heart. The feeling that he ran from. Through space, planet to planet, searching for something-someone- to make the feeling go away, his subconscious mission hidden even to himself under the guise of exploration.
As he stays in the curled position, ever thicker frost and ice grows out from him, forming stalagmites that point out away from him. They aren't yet large or aggressive, but they inch out by the second.

Melody Waverider |

Mel looks at the expanding Ice, and the withdraw. Oh, you are not shutting me out, you can't get rid of me so easily, besides I told you I would be here no matter what.
Mel braves the cold and climbs past the ice spears to sit as close as she can to him.
despite the frigid cold that surrounds them Mel stays there. her body temperature seems to lower to match Tyb's. but it seems to have no ill effects on Mel.

The ice tries to push her away at first.
After a bit more pushing and breaking, she pushes in towards him.
He doesn't respond to her presence, but Mel can hear light sobbing from within the frosty shell.

Jessa's head does not raise, and her hair covers most of her face, but Nala can see the girl chewing on her lip. After a full three minutes, she finally speaks in a voice barely audible, "I do not want to be caged anymore. I do not want to be modified and tested upon anymore. She came to me to protect me from what they were doing to me; I could not stand it, but she was stronger than I am."
It looks like she is gathering every shred of courage she has remaining to her, and she goes quiet again for a few long moments, and when she continues her voice has the strange speech patterns of the Empires elite classes, "You can do the tests, but do not alter anything without talking to me about it first." When she lifts her eyes to meet Nala's they are cold like two bits of blue ice, "One day I will be free from all scientists" The word comes out like a curse.

Like everything right in the world was ended violently before him.Having arrived at the cafeteria after the outburst, Tami heads for the table where she sees Mel sitting.
I totally missed this also, sooo sorry,
Mel fills Tami in about everything she knows between Tybs and Dave.
Well you see, Tybs is kind of...well...he likes Dave, and Dave is not ready to deal with that. and well everything was fine and stuff but, I think Dave saw Raelle and that was not the kind of thing he needed to be seeing right now, and well Tybs here feels alone in the world right now, so I wanted to help him know he really isn't.
Mel is just as cold as Tybs is but it does not seem to bother her, almost like she has adapted to the extreme cold perfectly.

"So, Tybs and Dave had a fight? It looks like he's in shock right now. With a normal person I'd say keep them warm, but in his case...well, he seems to have made his own ice. So I'm not quite sure what to do...do you think you can help him to the infirmary if he's willing to go? I would, but I can't actually touch him when he's like this without getting hurt."
"Tybalt? Can you hear me? We're very worried about you and want to help you. Will you please let us help you?"
