Reading that scene over, and tryin to put myself in David's shoes(I've sorta been in a similar situation IRL, with seeing the one you care about with another), I want to lash out in anger at Tybalt. It's clear he's trying to comfort you, yes, but he is really, really pushing his feelings and love for you.
Considering you have made it clear in game you have no idea how you feel about Tybs, it seems to be he is trying to push the issue, in a way. He is definitely acting more like he's your bf right now than as a friend. Even a best friend.
It seems to be David could blow up in anger and demand space from Tybs, possibly for an indefinite period of time.
This is just how I have seen things so please do not take this as what you *have* to do.
I just feel like were I David, I would definitely snap at Tybalt.

On the other hand, Dave feels tybalt's one of the only ones left who doesn't hate him, and he's angry at himself for the weakness he perceives in himself at the whole situation hmm going to need a but of time to mull things over

The cold thing was supposed to help put him at ease. Make his linnorm part feel at home and comforted. It wasn't intended in the normal human physiology.
I don't feel like this is too far out of good friend territory. Using the neutral word "we" instead of "I".
If I was there IRL, this would probably be my way of handling it.
If a friend of mine was this depressed, I would probably be doing this. Trying to support, joke, cheer them up, get their mind off of it. A decent bit of warm, physical contact.
My reaction as Dave, he is really feeling this hard. But there's also a good bit of friendship going on.
Normally he wouldn't do this, but as it all stacks up, all the craziness happening. The two(three if you count skeets) people that care the most about him are right there. It's been a long and hard time about this. He's kept up the super tough guy act for so long. It's just been so stressful. I think that a bit of an emotional break down and shoulder crying is a very plausible reaction. He is at an emotional breaking point, but there is also the people that care for him right there to comfort him.
After all, he's only human-ish... he may not normally do this, but under all these circumstances it just seems to me that this makes the most sense in character.

Also, like I said, keep in mind things like your Draconic heritage and fiery nature. Of course there's also some cold in your blood, but it's due to your dragon-ness.
It's tough for sure. Tybs is obviously David's best friend and to loose him would probably crush him, possibly beyond repair. Tybs has literally risked his life just to try and make him happy.
On the flipside, since last night Tybs has literally been all over David, hanging off of him, pushing him both physically and emotionally.
Top that all off, David just saw Rae, the girl he at least really likes, kiss Ardiente. That would piss me off for sure, I'd snapped.

I've never had a best friend curl up into my shoulder and cry, unless their mom or pet died. And I can count the times on one hand. It was not the norm for that person at all.
I've had plenty of girlfriends do that, though.
My cat doesn't even do that. I'm just saying.
Also, I don't know if Tybs is doing this per se, but he might want to take a step back. A person that uses their own sadness or whatever to get what they want out of people using guilt are manipulators, and pretty low on the sentient totem pole as far as I'm concerned. Dave is obviously in a pickle and hurting, and for Tybs to throw the crying crap out there in an attempt to sway him is horrible.

Probably too late, but if you're conflicted over how to respond, then likely your character is suffering the same confusion.

Attn: all fashion type people,
What's the official name for the piece of jewelry a girl can wear in her hair, that's sort of like a net, and often has gems or stones accenting it?? It kinda is a hair net, but I believe that's not the name. Unless what I'm thinking of is also called a hair net, beyond the type food people must wear.

It's a snood. Can be anything from a simple net (I have two of these in my renn costume drawer.) to a net made of metal and studded with gems....and now I'm debating the practicality of trying to make a chain mail snood....I will probably talk myself out of this once I'm more awake....I have too many other chain mail projects I want to do first.
Caught up on reading posts now. Too tired to respond tonight, as predicted.

Aren't snoods just for holding excess long hair rather then the whole head? At least, any I've seen didn't cover the top of the head (though they did have bands that went over the top).
Depends on the snood. They're not supposed to cover all of the hair though, no. Generally they cover from headband position on back though. Sometimes you'll see smaller ones that have to be held in place with pins or a barrette. I mean, the basic ones are basically a hair net made out of embroidery floss, and they could be worn like a food service hairnet if you really wanted, but it would look dumb and that's not how girls really wear them.

Ooh, chain mail. I like making chain mail. Though I definitely agree that it might not be good for head gear, at least not for people with hair. Might work on top of a hat though.
Oh it would be fine, you just have to close your loops really well. I might actually want to use premade rings for that since the ends are smoother than the rings I cut myself. But it would be a rather large and tedious project and I've promised too many other projects already.

I would imagine that it would take lots of work to weave hair through the hoops. Easier to get a similar look by having a series of hair pins. That way you get the pattern of beads/jewels, but without weaving hair.
Though you might still get some who wear difficult hairstyles (megatokyo has a hairstyle that is reportedly very difficult, and fans still do it) but probably only when they have the time to do it right, like nobles (or fangirls).

So, I realized I could apply my Harrower levels to my Warlock levels, for a total of 18 Invocations and a 13d6 Eldritch Blast. I also swapped out my TWFing feats for the following homebrew:
-Destroying Blast, which adds 2d6 to my EB.
-Devastating Blast, which adds an additional 2d6 to my EB.
-And Ravaging Blast, which turns all of my initial damage for EBs into d8s.
Does this seem a bit cheesy to you? No more powerful than some other tricks the Avalon students have up their sleeves, in my opinion...

Say what? Uh, no, you can't actually. Harrower is a prestige class, ne? So you have to apply it to the sorcerer side of your gestalt as currently written. Unless you mean switch to Sorcerer 16/warlock 6/ Harrower 10. Which doesn't get you to 18 Invocations IIRC.
Also, homebrew feats may be allowed, but only with approval first and if it's not something I can find on Pathfinder SRD, you have to include the details in your profile. Where are these feats from exactly? The last one sounds familiar.
Iolth Taknith |
Alright, will switch it back to it's original form :)
Also, I didn't know gestalt worked like that. Only skimmed over the rules. Sorry.
Those feats are specifically homebrew. Not "from" anything, just stuff I made specifically for Iolth.
EDIT: Made descriptions and the feats for all of the things I described, as well as removed the effects.

Alright, no problem. A lot of people don't really understand how gestalt works. It's like two separate tracks and you get the special abilities of each and the things that you can only have one of like hit dice or base saves and so on, those you take the best of the two (that's the other mistake people sometimes make...thinking that the bonuses stack). And you can't go over level 16 on either track.
And, like I said, homebrew feats have to be approved. I think I've seen someone else create a feat similar to that third one (the one that changes all the d6s to d8s). Which is the one of those three I'm willing to approve. The other two are just kind of ...bleh.

RE: Blonde Sacrifice
For those involved, if you want to apply any Skills, please advise.
If you have any specific questions not answers IN the posts I make, please ask.
And above all else, I'm assuming at this point, True Seeing is active on Vickory (It's only been a few minutes) and Detect Magic (remember studying takes time to see schools).
It's her, the room, and the four PC types; Casseus, Jeran, Tryko'Sam and Vickory. The door is open to the hallway of the infirmary interior, beeping devices nearby monitoring the girl.
Enjoy. :)
