To Sil: I'm not sure if elves have any 'racist pheromones' that Sil could pick up on. Best I could say would be that Ehos might be sweating slightly more than his sedentary activity would call for, a sign of tension.

Hate to bring the mood down, but the reason I haven't been around lately is because last Monday, my mother passed away. With the funeral and the grieving, I forgot about a lot of things, this included. I think my break will be lasting a lot longer than anticipated; while her passing was very expected, it still has left me unable to think straight. I have no idea when or if I'll be back to this.

Please, take your time, OC. We understand.

do what you have to do stay healthy, and believe it or not I have found comfort in knowing that there are real people behind all of these characters. and we are all here if you need us (to talk things out)

Not to sound like an echo here, but really do take your time OC - we're here as a diversion if you need that, or folks to talk to if you need that too. Don't hesitate to do whatever you need to do to get through these tough times.

I am so sorry for your loss OC. Obviously, you do what you need to do. This is just a game. A fun game sure, but real life comes first. And you will be welcome to return whenever you want to, if you want to. If you want someone to talk to, I am available. If you just need space, then that's cool too. There's no wrong way to grieve. *hugs*

Rewatching Heaven's Lost Property (it's an ecchi anime with a high level of ridiculousness) makes me realize where I may have gotten some inspiration for Rena's physical form. (Google it yourself if you want, but be warned anything linked to that anime will probably be NSFW-ish).

Anyway, Jess, regarding your earlier questions about Angeloid NPCs - it would be pretty easy to make them Angels with the Half-Construct properties from the Advanced Race Guide, or make them Lifespark constructs of some sort, with some Spell-likes thrown in. That should get you the feel you're looking for.

Of course, if they're going to be as powerful as Ikaros from the anime, your characters will likely begin to feel overshadowed by her - it's important to let NPCs play a supporting role, and not be the 'heroes' of the story. At least, in my opinion.

I was going to have the Angeloids be at least three levels below the PCs and only get their super abilities such as Ikaros' Apollo or Nymph's uberhack as abilities per day to balance out gameplay a bit

It was a youth event... we were on the same bus...

I went to six flags(Jersey) for my high school freshmen fieldtrip.

I totally did my own thing, and since it was so hot, I went to this water ride where you take a small boat up a hill, around a small bend and then come splashing down another hill. There's a bridge you can stand on and get splashed by the wave.

I stood there and got splashed something like 77 times. I had a whole group around me, counting the splashes along with me. It was pretty freakin awesome...

I want to offer prayers and comfort for those that lost loved ones recently. I've been busy, so I wasn't here to reply to these as quickly as I should.
OnC, I want to echo the rest of us when we say that we're here if you need us, as distraction or as comfort. It might just look like a game, but we are a family, and we're here for you if you need us.

I do want to say that it makes me happy that you are taking this apparently well. I have always felt like mourning is helpful sometimes, but it is better to be happy. They have moved on to a better place and if I was the one doing so, I would want the people I leave to be happy for me and not sad that I'm gone. :)
