JEEZUS! IF I WAS A CITIZEN OF THE EMPIRE...
MAYBE THEY FOUND AGARTHA!
Nah.

Nope.

Actually, now that I think about it...
Yeah, he's from Agartha.
It would make sense: Kaetar may be powerful, though she isn't powerful enough to hop halfway across the galaxy without even knowing about Agartha, let alone Avalon-so I think he's actually from Agartha, just from the other side of the planet.

Yeah, sorry to nitpick, but ...
While I'm /all/ for creative story weaving, I do believe the 'Wards' (if you speak of School ones) are highly secretive and not known planet wise, unless a student.
Reference:
Iolth sighs, "Well, long story short, I was an normal tiefling until I was kidnapped by crazy Szuriel cultists, who tried to use my daemonic blood to bypass the wards and let nasty things come in. The ritual malfunctioned, and the power of my blood got cranked up to eleven. Which would be nice-if it wasn't for the fact that whenever I use too much of it, I tend to destroy villages, towns, cities, countries-and I generally leave a g~#-d$~ned (literally) waste behind, with some daemons running rampant. The funny thing is, whenever I see someplace that needs help, I just say to myself This'll end quickly, I can probably take 'em out in one, two, maybe three cards, and then poof, I wake up in a nightmare wasteland. So, yeah, that's my story."
But, wards is a common term in the Arcane/Divine world, so no worries if generic stuff there.
As for blowing up some towns on Agartha, okay. Good to know. ;)
*does some mental adjustments*
Considering the power levels of things going on in the school and out, it might be easier if you ported across a dimension, versus doing random destruction on Agartha. Any 'half cocked' super powered fiend such as yourself would probably be snuffed out, or enslaved for some other diabolical thing with epic levels right away if you were a 'known' entity here.
Food for thought. :D

Hmmm... I have an idea...
Agartha is his home planet. However, there's an... intersting side effect when he goes all out. He temporarily rips a small hole in reality... plunging him into a different dimension or planet. So, likely, there are some Imperial cities out there in ruins, as well as some diabolical metropolises and maybe somewhere on Golarion.
Also, another idea: When things go insane and he's forced to go all out, after 13 blasts in a row, he maxes out level wise. HOWEVER, at this point, I hand over control to the guy currently DMing and let him have fun with my super-powered character.
Craters, anybody ;)

They failed. That's what's important.
*pats Damiani on the back*
Anyways... "They" were insane nihilstic Daemon Cultists, who all got together and decided to end the world.

Okay, Iolth, I know you have a flair for the dramatic and all, but.....folks trying to destroy the world would have gotten a response from Avalon. Like nuclear strike style response. With two powerful Seers in residence the chance of them not knowing about it is less than zero. They miss a lot of stuff cause there's so much to keep track of, but that's kind of a big deal. You, uh, kind of expanded way beyond your original story pitch there. I expected craters not an open portal to Abaddon. Plus, outside of Avalon, knowledge that there were wards or anything at all beyond the planet of Agartha was so astonishingly rare. It's becoming more common slowly, but it's still something that people are getting used to as opposed to common knowledge. I mean, just for the cultists to get this knowledge in the first place would require that one of them was either a former student or former teacher...and after the summoning club's accident that resulted in a demon invasion of the school a really, really stupid one. I mean, they already know this doesn't end well...Soooo.....
I think this origin story works better if it happened off-world. Because we need to make this much, much smaller if it happened on Agartha. Let me just say, if he was leveling cities here, he would have met Jeran a lot earlier, while Jeran was acting in his capacity as mech pilot. See previous comment about nuclear strike. But if it happened off-world, he can go nuts. And it's totally possible for him to be from the Empire without leading them to Avalon. There are other characters from the Empire here. Plus, the school has been known to draw people to it who need to be here. It's been known to post advertisements in the World Serpent Inn without consulting the staff. The joys of dealing with a sentient building. It's possible that the extra power needed to get from wherever he was to Avalon came from Avalon itself.

Ok for my own clarity here.
who all is in the infirmary?
I know mel and tybs and Tami.
I want to move forward with Tybs but it would be nice to know who else is there in case there is story conflict or something.
also is in just me or what but I cannot really follow that whole story arc Dami has going there. I tried but started to get a headache and stopped.

Edward--
Regarding Melody & Tybalt.
My Infirmary scene is in another room, thus, doubtful anyone's spotted your characters teleporting in. As for Melody's abilities, no one I'm playing as a PC is aware of Melody's speech trick. Can't say that for anyone else, but given the rarity and newness of those with Jeran, doubt they know either.
As for Iolth's appearance, so far as I can tell, that's happening in a room near the blonde, but, up to the players in the infirmary to react, which some have, given what I assume was our scene being in the doorway/hall.
Hope this helps clarify my perspective.
I guess this quasi-summary did nothing to help you, Edward?

In a separate room Raelle and Ardiente are trying to comfort Morrivan.
In another room there is Tryko'Sam trying to talk to the rescued sacrifice girl.
In the room next door to that Jeran is talking to the new guy.
Casseus walked to the main front area. Not sure where Vickory is.
In the main entrance area Mel is comforting a crying Tybs while Tami tries to talk to a staff member.
And I think it's just you. It's a pretty straghtforward rescue story I think. I mean, you have to be able to translate from Tryko'Sam's ADHD rambling sometimes, but I don't find that so hard. Then again, I have ADHD, so that may have something to do with it. :)

Alright then, I clearly don't know a lot about this setting. Soooo, alright, he's from off-world. Again, thanks for working with me on this, guys.
No problem. I do try to give as much leeway with these things as possible, but scale can become an issue. Small scale events are easier to work in than grand sweeping ones. And having him come from off-world lets him keep his 'cool' that you want for his backstory. Heh. You could have him think that he's still on whatever world he comes from though. Ah misunderstandings. :)

Arthur is also in the infirmary or close by and possibly so is Hermes, I believe they were giving ralelle and co some space so he may be in the main area with Mels

Do we have a light blades teacher? Or a non student music teacher?
No to light blades. Sadie is still subbing in that class...and so wants out of it.
Fi is a non student music teacher. But aside from a few private tutorials (which will be covered by Pan today since Fi is subbing for Ephebe) she teaches in the elementary school. We don't have any named music teachers in the high school.

I have an idea for a bard characters, he's a dhampir (half elf mother) prefers to float instead of walk, he has a rapier and a guitar the latter of which he caries on his back the former of which he caries on his waistband
Wears a trench coat, and shades, trying to decide between red and black,
I figure he works better as a teacher than a student,

(No his name is not ignigo Montoya his father was not killed unjustly)
lol. I was actually thinking more of that stupid Antonio Banderas movie where he carries the guitar case with guns in it. But yeah, the immediate thought I had from your description was that Spanish swashbucklery type. Lots of charm and panache. Would make a great light blades teacher. :)
