I got a bit distracted by shiny...earlier I accidentally clicked on the thread title instead of on the new posts part and ended up starting to read the thread from the beginning again...
I forgot that Ephebe and Krays first met while she was cowering under a table in the cafeteria. :)

Hey! I'm already crazy! *pout*
In all seriousness, had I made a character for then, I probably would have essentially made Dave, but instead of being psionic, he'd be a paladin or hexblade
You don't realize how 'easy' it is to completely revamp someone in a game setting like this, do you?
So easy. Could be a fun story too... either experienced, or shared.

I allow retraining, you know. Heck, I used it for Ephebe. Might make a good redemption story for Dave.

I was already thinking of retraining his 6 casting levels, and replacing them with such, I want him to remain immune to fire, I feel that's somewhat important to the character so I guess the pyrokenetist levels remain,

Yeah, his fire and ice thing is pretty important to him.

Just a warning to the ~ Infirmary ~ scene peeps, and new arrival, I'm going to be out from 5pm Pacific until late. So...
Get them posts in now, if you can, or might have to wait until either tomorrow AM to get a response.
Per my math, it's been maybe 3 minutes or less, since their arrival at the infirmary talking with the blonde. Maybe 8 to 10 minutes since her arrival in the terrace/garden.

Tybalt Baneko |

I was working under the assumption that infirmary stuff happened in different rooms.
At the very least, I think Tybs, Mel and Tami would be because the ice part might be kind of dangerous for other students. I was also kind of hoping Dom would come with...
Either way. Other than possibly a nurse NPC picking us up, not sure what we're waiting on.

Tybalt Baneko |

Don't know how I missed the earlier conversation on Dave's levels.
Should've said that I was hoping some that in Dave's retraining it included just a slight shift away from the fire for Tybs' sake. Mostly on the retraining the pyromania flaw.
I just thought it would be a cool ooc step in adaptation for in character interactions.

Iolth Taknith |

Just an idle thought: in the Asch vs Father sequence, it was speculated that Keaton was unaffected by the Agarthan sun because his vampiracy was extraterrestrial. Would this mean that Agarthan vampires are now immune to the sun's effects?

Damiani |

Edward--
Regarding Melody & Tybalt.
My Infirmary scene is in another room, thus, doubtful anyone's spotted your characters teleporting in. As for Melody's abilities, no one I'm playing as a PC is aware of Melody's speech trick. Can't say that for anyone else, but given the rarity and newness of those with Jeran, doubt they know either.
As for Iolth's appearance, so far as I can tell, that's happening in a room near the blonde, but, up to the players in the infirmary to react, which some have, given what I assume was our scene being in the doorway/hall.
Hope this helps clarify my perspective.

Back then the Sun that gave Agartha light was not a real sun, so it had no effect. This is no longer the case.

Turtle From Kungfu Panda wrote:"Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. But, today is a gift; and that's why we call it the present."So bottom line, don't kill yourself reliving the past. We need you here in the now, Hun. :P
lol. Actually you're the reason I started reading it again. I was trying to kind of review what's worked and what hasn't, see if the tone really had changed and I just wasn't seeing it. The 'main' plot hasn't changed a bit. It was hella dark from page one, still is. That's why it only unrolls in small chunks. But we are a bit shorter than we should be lately on the two elements that made it seem fun in spite of the danger and occasional crushing personal defeats. One thing that we could all probably step up a bit more is humor. With so many crises that happened in the first week it's understandable that the mood of the school got a bit somber. But it's probably time to inject some moments of ridiculousness now and then. And the other is the number of players running minor story arcs. In the beginning there was no official GM. My job was helping people through character creation and game intro. And then my job was character creation and game intro and keeping track of all the different story arcs that everybody was running to make sure that nobody stepped on anybody else's toes and that the setting stayed consistent. And then we had our first PvP problem, and that was handled kinda by committee, but ended up coming down to my call. And that's how I ended up as the official GM, since I was doing all the GM stuff. But over time I've ended up in charge of more and more story. FCD has been amazing when it comes to adding story and I think the momentum would have died altogether without his efforts. Damiani has really stepped up to the plate lately and has been adding plot and background details and it was really amazing how much that increased my enthusiasm for the game.
What I would really like to see is the rest of you guys taking more initiative with story. It doesn't even have to be for your characters (works better if it isn't...and folks are much more likely to run story for your characters if you're running story for them). It doesn't have to involve field trips. Some of the best mini arcs haven't. So if anyone has the least inclination to GM a little piece of the story, let me know. I can coordinate who runs what when and all I need to know is generalities so I can advise about any extra info you might need. With the exception of Iolth, who needs to get through character intro first, the rest of you have all been here long enough to get how the game works and I think the overall feel of the game will seem more energetic and positive if more people are writing the story. So consider that my challenge to the rest of you. :)And now I'm going to get back to focusing on the present day game for a while. Though I'm still gonna continue reading through the backlogs. Cause it's fun. I really miss Mr Sinh. :)

I got Lang's trip
But if anyone needs help let me know.
How about a school dance
Organizing an impromptu dance for the weekend sounds like a great idea to me. Probably more of a casual thing, but should provide plenty of chances for fun and trouble. :)

lynora |

Yeah, I'm actually playing in two campaigns right now, one with Asch and Amada and one with Mr. Sinh-with new characters of course.
They're really good players. I miss them here, but *shrug* we get a decent amount of turnover due to the fast pace.

lynora |

I have a story arc/plot I wanna run, but its something I want to wait on, and is definitely not a lighthearted affair.
Think I need to work on some random nonsense, just need the right inspiration...
Let me know if you think of something. :)

lynora |

He was a great janitor. *nods sagely*
Hmm... Guess I could get another Oneiro trip going.
Then there's trying to help out Adina.
Yeah, let's get that Adina story moving again. That's a good one since it's a challenge, but not necessarily life and death.
