From experience, being referred to in the wrong gender starts getting ignored and unnoticed after awhile, or amuses me when I do notice. So I guess knowing the gender isn't too big a deal.

the sim room events took place in accelerated time as Dave is wanting to eat some more before class and hasn't even been going on very long, by my count less than a minute, before being shut down (quite possibly still broadcasting) your post of a herd of adrenalin fueled students is rather implausible as a result, unless they teleported they wouldn't even have had time to get up there by this point

There was the time spent talking though. That might have an effect, if the time was put back to normal when the duel was cancelled.

This isn't even counting the somewhat implausibility of people getting this hyped up and (to use a phrase of one of the onlookers) "blue balled" by such a short event... Unless you hold off, ace indicates he wants to keep going and you can just have these events be running slightly behind schedule,

There were a few times I thought "this character would be great in this event" but they had a fly rate of only 100-170 (depending on which event/character I'm referring to) and I wasn't able to get there in time for the event, I cooperated then

I can allow the duel to resume, I am a teacher after all, though I might make a few "modifications" to the dueling arena.

So I was at a Doctor Who/Stargate convention today.
It was fun. Lots of buttons, a hat, TARDIS phone case, comic books, glassware, and a program I won in the raffle with the signatures of all the guests.
I met Ianto from Torchwood. That was fun.

lol. Well, now I feel better about that...I thought it was just too obvious and not that amusing...but it turns out I was just being too obscure with my Doctor Who reference. ^.^

In other news, I finally got my malfunctioning modem replaced, but now the router is dying. I think the fan has gone kaput. It keeps overheating. So my internet availability is spotty and mostly spent researching routers so I can figure out what replacement to buy. So apologies for not responding in a more timely manner to stuff, but there's not a lot I can do about it right now. :/

Lyn, first try turning off for awhile, then using a can of air to blow out all the vents and fan and things (open it up to clean inside if you feel comfortable with that) many problems and issues with electronics come from dust and dirt build-up, particularly inside.

Yeah, that was the first thing I tried. Not a dust problem. And it has to be unplugged most of the time right now. The fan is not working. And it's not set up such that I can replace the fan. This model has a general problem with running hot in the first place. It's the biggest complaint in the reviews. They sacrificed function for pretty. I'd rather have ugly that gave sufficient space for internal airflow so the damn thing didn't overheat so bad. :(

I completely didn't even think of character improvements when creating Vickory. Now I should probably find some way to improve her.

I will probably just expand her spell matrix.

Oh and maybe make a companion.

Good news! I am currently working on setting up the network on the new router! Obviously I already have the internet up and working, just dealing with fiddly details like setting preferences and getting shared printer online. :)

So, just throwing out a random question, would an Angeloid (angel android) be considered a construct or an organic? I mean they need to eat and breathe, but can operate without oxygen for around 6-700 hours, and they can survive being shot and dropped from the upper atmosphere as well as not needing sleep, ever.

That describes most angels not on their home plane...

Surviving being shot isn't a big deal in a game like this, and fall damage caps at 10d6.

Why yes, yes I am. Was thinking of making them as NPC support characters for my PCs in my rl game. They're the most inept heroes since Krillin, my healer often does more harm than good, seriously he rolled for Cure Minor Wounds and got a 1 for the amount healed.

Krillin has only died one more time than goku, come on
Krillin could cap a mountain in his first fight of DBZ he has since only gotten stronger
He is the world's strongest human, stronger even than the combined strength of chaoutsu and tien
If I had a player as strong as Krillin he'd probably be rather high on the power level even at high level,

He must just have negative B-a-b.

He remained useful longer than Yamcha, longer than chaoutsu, longer than tien, heck almost as long as piccolo,

I only ever watched abridged with you two, but I don't remember him doing anything all that useful.
Either way... Not important.

My point is that they are almost always being resurrected by me with my DM powers, much like the heroes of DBZ. Also am I the only one who noticed that the whole one rez per person rule didn't apply to the world population that wasn't a hero or villain.

That's because it's the abridged series and the "Krillin is useless"/"Krillin pwned count" was a running gag
