Ok points that need to be resolved
1 zix is not male, he has no gender, his species reproduce asexually, only reason I use male pronouns for him is because our language assumes male pronouns (also grammatically appropriate for him would be "they" but that just sounds weird)
2 yes there was some degree of misunderstanding, I didn't know you had mind blank up you just said "mental defenses" (i don'r remember the actual words but at the time of my posting i don't think you said the spell name) I assumed something to the degree of "conceal thoughts" or the 3rd lvl version of that, which zix could easily brush aside
I had no way of knowing you would use the most powerful tier of magic at your disposal just to keep me from talking
3 @lang, I have been busy, I'm going to try to drop accounting and that should free up a large chunk of time

This is a crisis, and thoug i don't doubt your ship can go fast, not fast enough, travel taking at least a few days.
Starcasters are, in essence, jump drives. They are how ships get around in the Dragon Empire. Aananda miniaturized and improved them for Personal use.

yes it as a madly Dangerous Elemental drive, [
Starcasters I would say Jump drive but, Its drops down the ship down in to the plane of Gravity and moves through that then comes back up to the prime, ships using this tend not to be used in the empire as its1: Dangerous
2: To vastly costly to make.
3: No used for a warship as you end up using most of a ships power just to keep in one piece wile jumping.
4: Super Basic Dwarf Tech
Dwarf's are about the only ones who know how to build ships that stand a chance and they cost a vast amount and they don't sell them any time soon. Its a bit faster but you have to go into Cryo sleep wile in a jump

As I said it dos not matter what he or you think about what he is or is not, Amber and Opel look at actions and he acted male and aggressive. They are fey and use to "Sexless things/beings", dos not mean it it is "genderless" in actions, One is not the other.

Again I kept it as the same level, "mental defenses to block/keep Zix out" Then he pushed past that and keep haranguing at them. Hes a teacher Epic V two school kids, how matters not, they wanted him out and acted to block him* and acted to do this, he pushed past that and so broke in. That when they got mad.
*[in game if you don't want to be talked to v Telepathy you can I think at will do this, even with out magic]

Amber and Opel where Clearly not Willing so Zix some how made them willing or just pushed past the blocks. They don't know the game mechanics, only that a male acting thing just rail road'ed into their unwilling minds, and so acted accordingly, think about it for a moment.
Would you like that to happen to you?

one thing that seems to be part of the confusion
spellweaves have no mouths (they also have no noses, ears or any other hole for that matter, well at least no holes that are supposed to be there) the only way they can talk is via telepathy,
No confusion, they can see your an aberrant, they know you don't talk with sound as you don't have a mouth and did not from the stat, they wanted you to shut up.

Foul, try to pay more attention to what the other person says when you have a character in dialogue with them.
Capt, all that said, Ice is right. Zix should still have been able to broadcast in a way that they could hear in spite of the mind blank. But he shouldn't have been able to hear. The player has already admitted that he made an error and I think the ruling will go as follows. Zix did not hear them speaking to each other but was addressing an earlier comment and the girls freaked out not realizing that their power didn't prevent a natural telepath from speaking since it doesn't actually require a mind to mind connection. Think of it more like radio waves. We've had this discussion on telepathy previously, but there's no reason you would have known the specific house rules in place. Anyways, this preserves the majority of the scene as is while only requiring a couple of posts be mentally edited to make up for a player mistake. And now there's no more need of argument.
Also, an apology to FCD and Dami for my little rant. I know we've all had that frustrating moment when we just can't catch up and have to keep editing posts past the point of comprehension. Especially frustrating when it happens while you're online and posting. While that makes the outburst understandable, it was still out of line and I'm sorry.

I always thought a lot lighter and more kind of pop group than rock band. Not really boy band, but not all hard rock either.
The rock band thing just doesn't mesh well with Tyb's personality and I just don't think he could do it well in character.

Also, just kind of an explanation for why I may be a little on edge since this is about more than just school stress (though there's certainly plenty of that). Last month was the sixth anniversary of my mom's death and I dealt with that pretty well, but as always it's september that gets me. This coming Saturday would have been her 61st birthday. With the dates being so close together I tend to get a bit emotional towards the end of September. Anyways, I'll be okay. I always am. But I'm a bit more on edge than usual. I'm trying to be aware of it and nip it in the bud when I can. And the kidlet and I made plans for this Saturday to spend the whole day doing fun stuff just the two of us which should keep the wallowing to a very bare minimum.

I wish I could say that I know how you feel. I've been fortunate enough to not lose anyone very close to me yet so I can't say that I can emapthize with you on this.
It's good that you can transcendentalize to see that you have issues this time of year. It's normal and healthy to feel sad and grieve during times like this, it's only a problem when it goes further than it should and becomes overwhelming.
Just remember that we're here for you. If you want to talk about anything, you can with me. :)

Well, your people have higher numbers, but from a story perspective, we're just about evenly matched. We have a well rounded group and all normal band instruments.
You have more people and thus far, better organization.
And you better watch yourself if you want a pianist for your demo.

We could always go more techno. Just not boy band never boy band. Papa Roach's songs I wasn't thinking all there songs- This one maybe a good one, Definitely not there look though. Disturbed and all that was more just a name to throw out. I can see Nightwish not being a good mesh with Tybs also. It barely goes well with Dom.
Trapt would be a good band to get songs from. Such as Trapt
Of course Coldplay as well.
