It's no problem, he's only done it twice in game, and one of them only Aananda saw him do it.
Although, given your avatar, I'd've thought YOU would remember ;)
half of his gestalt is this class. That's what allows him to shift.
I've taken some rules-light liberties with him for effect, but that's the core of it.

:chuckles at the salvos launched and no responses:
Follow up on Teacher bit, who 'vets' them or is that more of the same process of the hiring?
Assuming the Empire is /not/ actively seeking Avalon out specifically, or are they? (I know they are seeking out the rebels) is there a concern for bringing on new staff?
Lynora, did you want a summary in PM? Probably best approach.

Btw, unless I am missing something, the "no blocking" for cinematic combat does not always refer to actual combat blocking.
It means, never out right saying "no, you can't do that". While I have no idea what Jai and Ehos' to hits are, I hed their blows land, because to constantly have them miss would be annoying in the extreme.
Now, obviously this does not apply to such things as immunity or the like. If David and Ace duel again cinematically, and I cast Scorching Ray at him, he doesn't have to somehow take even 1 point of damage.
But, if I cast Lightning Bolt, he should at least take some damage, even if he happens to have elec res or a high Ref save. And I would do the same in return, even if maybe normally such wouldn't happen.
The idea is to let both sides shine some, tell a story and go with whichever outcome seems best. That can be figred out via PM beforehand or happen spur of them moment in the fight.

The reflex save thing-
When you make a build with a large reflex save and evasion because he spent his training time in martial weapons with casters and the first skill he learned was "dodge the fireball" and he takes damage from a lightning bolt, it seems out of place. And adon is designed to make everyone consistently miss. Except renkai. He can feint too well.
(Grumble)
Shoulda built his ac better...

I'm pretty sure he did. That's why I didn't say Tybs did even though he would other wise (considered having him sneak a peace) and also if he wasn't bleed profusely. (Which is why he didn't)

Gah I so need to post again. Between school work, and GW2 I have so been slacking on here. :(
Damiani |
Is GW2 fun?
EDIT: Kind of a stupid question. Obvisouly you think it's fun or you wouldn't spend your free time on it.
I guess in comparison to WoW or WAR, how is it?
With the right company, yes. Alone, unless you are into mindless time sinks, not too sure.
It's pretty though. Was good clean fun back when I was playing it.
Dom Waverider |
Compared to WoW it's amazing good story great graphics. Gameplay has a slight learning curve. They did something new with it so WoW is a good classic to go back to from time to time. As long as your on a free server.
War hated it so I not going to compare it. To buggy and didn't feel like Warhammer
As for other things. There is a world story line that changes each month. So there is constantly new stuff. Oh and best of all No monthly fee.
Tybalt Baneko |
It's shiny. It doesn't matter if it's useless.
:D
Plus if it was as big as you said, there should be some decent pieces.
lynora |
Sheesh. That was a lot too wade through.
Fair warning, I am in a crappy mood today. This is a fairly normal response to one's insides violently cramping for days at a time. I should probably go take about 800mg of motrin and a chocolate bar before attempting to look at the game thread. >.<
Anyhoo....
Jess, yes your teacher is approved.
Dami, you can let me review in PM if you want more mysteries about abilities or here. Whatever works better. And I think you got your other question answered?

1 person marked this as a favorite. |
Honestly for GW2, I really liked it, but then I had no one to play with, so meh. Got to level 80, don't remember any real endgame. Personal Stories were a big let down (since they came in 'Chapters' that had nothing to do with each other, bad story-telling)
It's great for an MMO, but I just... built it up in my mind too much maybe.
Also the no-endgame thing really killed it.

Settro is a demon Seraphim! :D
Unholy unholy unholy is the name of Lamentashu. . . .

Pretty clear, just need to send you the concept.

For those of you who like/ed the Wing Commander games/franchise, take a look at Star Citizen. It is a WC MMO that will be coming out (projected) late next year that does not use the WC branding.
So far it seems to be pretty impressive and has close to or just over $20 million in funding from its fan base.

Reflex save versus confusion!Monkeygod |
One of the things I really love about WoW, and that gets me to keep playin, is its 10k+ year history, full of pretty much everything true epics are made of:
Corruption by incredibly ancient evils of a pure, noble race.
Those "demons" then corrupting a noble, though lesser, race, in order to facilitate an invasion of that race's world.
A love triangle that leads one brother to turn to darkness, and in so doing become at once tragic hero and one of the most feared villains.
An apprentice Druid, given the nigh impossible task of uniting the nature demi gods, to battle the demonic invasion.
A crazy, massive titanic struggle to beat back said invasion.
And that's just the first time the Burning Legion tried to invade Azeroth. I also left out PLENTY of other badass details.

I hate "World of war Crack"
WoWC
walk -> Walk -> walk -> talk talk -> walk walk walk -> fight a little -> walk walk walk talk walk talk
Big boys play EVE Online, where ripping off [Ninja looting in WOWC terms others is built into the game.
EVE Online
Logon-> Undock -> warp -> POP Rats and Pod players
With a Massive Internet Spaceship
[BUT I'll fess up I stopped playing Eve as it was eating my live even more then WoWc]
Online MMOs best pick ones like this, that take a few moments to post and get some life back.

For the love if anything, someone besides Settro or Lyere, please post something …
Tybalt Baneko |
I could arrange for a fireball that requires a fort save. Paizo only. ;)
Dave and Ice figured out a way to break Dancing Lights. . . .
Lyere |
I have been wondering why no-one else has posted anything, from what I've seen the lull is usually around 10, and where I am its one hours early
Tybalt Baneko |
Other than suggesting they skip into the building together wizard of oz style, she's good.
It wasn't that I think you specifically needed to post. It's just that half the page is nothing but them talking. Not that it's a bad thing, just kinda boring for those not involved in it. O_o

We got bored and i found a way to make dancing lights entangle people they touch.

I guess no one will heal Tybalt then...
Guess not. . . . T-T
They're just gonna watch the kitty bleed to death. Its not like I'm missing about a third of my HP or anything. . . . :PLyere |
Yeah, I can see how boring that would be, but still, why hasn't anyone posted? I'm pretty sure you and DB3 already planned on it, but everyone else has gone missing...
