The Avalon Chronicles
Game Master
lynora
This is a high level rules light game set in a school for magical kids, kinda a mash-up of Soul Eater, Harry Potter, and X-Men. :)

She was just wondering if it was something you could teach.
I'm not planning on putting levels in bender. :)
Female awww, but that would be telling unknown
Wow, that's crazy powerful for a cantrip...isn't there a second level spell that does nearly the same thing?
That is way to strong. Pilfering Hand is higher than that.
Tybalt Baneko wrote: Ya it's caster check plus relative caster bonus.
I think we could just make it a ranged CMB vs cmd
Here's the problem with it Tybs:
Normally, you have to be in melee to disarm. Doing it from range requires a feat investment. Being in melee is part of the risk/reward of it.
Not only that, but this effectively gives casters an infinite number of attempts to disarm with /no/ drawbacks, /AND/ it does it at a very high bonus, effectively giving them a full BAB for this combat maneuver, along with what is likely a very high stat.
I'm sorry, but this cantrip would be hand-down not allowed at my table. Level 1 spell? MAYBE. Very maybe.
Male Icy Catfolk Image Warlock/Rogue 16
That's fine. I don't need it. Not a big deal. :)
Anyone want to talk about Spiderman cantrip?
M Extrodinaraly Contrary Meatbag Fourm pyromancer 1
I would only allow that cantrip for a specific charecter design.
Powerful for a cantrip, but very flavorful.
Spiderman cantrip is strong, but not overpowered like the other one.

Yeah, for the spider man one, I'd change the Strength DC to 10 or 12, and it should be fine. 15 is a little high.
I know Lang wants Midori to follow, but I'm still giving Lyn a chance to respond with Ignace, given that she's part of the scene as well.
Male Icy Catfolk Image Warlock/Rogue 16
Would it be a stealth or bluff check to do the somantic component without people noticing?
M Extrodinaraly Contrary Meatbag Fourm pyromancer 1
Somatic is silent and causes no loss of stealth. It is simply motions.
Male Icy Catfolk Image Warlock/Rogue 16
When we have bab of #/#/# does that mean I can do three spells a round at those numbers?

Oh, i think there is a feat needed to hide spell components.
Mainly because if you hide all spell components, you can avoid people realizing you charmed someone, or stuff like that.

Tybalt Baneko wrote: When we have bab of #/#/# does that mean I can do three spells a round at those numbers? No.
The level of no....
Tybalt Baneko wrote: When we have bab of #/#/# does that mean I can do three spells a round at those numbers? This is just for a full round attack action. Spells each have their own casting time.
Male Icy Catfolk Image Warlock/Rogue 16
Just no would have sufficed. You know how bad I am at this. :P
And to hide things it looks like people are using sleight of hand vs perception to hide the semantic from what I'm reading.
Tybalt Baneko wrote: When we have bab of #/#/# does that mean I can do three spells a round at those numbers? Physical attacks only. Only in rare, or feat enhanced situations do you cast more than once. Sometimes magic helps too.
Male Drow (noble) 14 Ranger
The only way you can cast 2 spells a round is if one of them is quickened, and you use your swift action to cast it.
This is max per round, per RAW and RAI.
Male Icy Catfolk Image Warlock/Rogue 16
Looks like my stupidity drew out the lurkers. :D

Unless your zix, who because of his race, can cast any combination of spells in a round up to a total of 6 spell levels. Any higher and he's restricted to just the one. But he's a teacher, so it doesn't really matter.
Male Drow (noble) 14 Ranger
Is that a pathfinder race?
This is rules light here, but that clearly 'breaks' what the devs intend.
I agree, for this game, it doesn't matter, though.

With open/close can I open and close something in the same casting?

Hmmmm, motorcycle, plus cut brake lines, plus fireworks/confetti grenades equals a good entrance. Anyone else think so?

No, it's a conversion.
It's not meant to be a normal pc race either.
He has 6 arms, and each can work components for one level of spell, or all to cast something above 6th level.
It's something from all the way back in 2.0, and zix is actually that old, and was there when the Arcanists fell.

Two words: Damn. Straight.
How the hell else do you think we survive against an empire ruled by bat-$#!%-nuts dragons and their sorcerous half-breed legions?
Fight smarter, not harder baby!! :D
And please take that as the massive tongue-in-cheek dialogue it's meant to be, folks (^-^)
M Extrodinaraly Contrary Meatbag Fourm pyromancer 1
Yeah....
Though, you know, tarka was going to be a Devine gunslinger before i found out it was restricted.
Really annoying, that. It's such a cool concept, but i can't use it.
Or cause mass genocide. You got a 50/50 shot either way.
Male Icy Catfolk Image Warlock/Rogue 16
I do that!
I think as Tybs progresses here, he's going to start focussing more on incapacitation and less on damaging.
I can change things as he grows and develops.
M Extrodinaraly Contrary Meatbag Fourm pyromancer 1
Grumble.
I would use arcane archer, but it's blatantly inferior due to the multiple spells per round thing.

But ya. Go ahead. Don't want to ruin your grand entrance with my sillyness. :P

Tybalt Baneko wrote: We have already agreed that my bodily functions work normally. And besides. Tears are saline water which doesn't freeze. Melody enters lecture mode:
Saline water: is a general term for water that contains a significant concentration of dissolved salts (mainly NaCl). The salt concentration is usually expressed in parts per thousand (permillle, ‰) or parts per million (ppm).
The United States Geological Survey classifies saline water in three salinity categories. Salt concentration in slightly saline water is around 1,000 to 3,000 ppm (0.1-0.3%), in moderately saline water 3,000 to 10,000 ppm (0.3-1%) and in highly saline water 10,000 to 35,000 ppm (1-3.5%). Seawater has a salinity of roughly 35,000 ppm, equivalent to 35 grams of salt per one liter (or kilogram) of water. The saturation level is dependent on the temperature of the water. At freezing one mililiter of water can dissolve about 357 milligrams of salt; a concentration of 35.7%. At boiling the amount that can be dissolved in a mililiter of water increases to about 390 milligrams or 39% saline solution.
Some industries make use of saline water, such as mining and thermoelectric-power.
Water salinity based on dissolved salts
Fresh water: < 0.05%
Brackish water: 0.05% – 3%
Saline water: 3% - 5%
Brine: > 5%
freezing / boiling point:
For saltwater, the boiling point is raised, and the melting point is lowered. By how much depends on how much salt there is. I'll assume the salt is sodium chloride, NaCl (table salt). The melting point is lowered by 1.85 degrees Celsius if 29.2 grams of salt are dissolved in each Kg of water (called a "0.5 molal solution" of salt. The Na and Cl dissociate right away when dissolved, and so for a 0.5 molal solution of salt, there is a 1.0 molal concentration of ions). The boiling point is raised by 0.5 degrees Celsius for water with 29.2 grams of salt dissolved in each kg of water.
