Wizard makes more teacher sense. It also leaves open an opportunity ice and I discussed, that doesn't have much to do with you. Just to say it.
Wizard could also use fire school.

You could do feats. It helps with abilities. Spells aren't important cause wizard can have whatevr.

OK. I was confused. The extra 10 in the alias page helps more than you'd think. :)

Yeah, honestly, modern explosives are likely not fire damage for the most part. Obviously some fire damage, but unless their immolation based weapons, it should be a mix of damage types - shrapnel (piercing/slashing), force/sonic damage (depending on what you consider the concussive blasts), and some fire in there as well.
Plus, this is the Sim Rooms. Advaran can literally do anything he can imagine.
It isn't like every PE class is going to be a 'duel the teacher' class. That's just silly to think.

Ok...
It may be irrlevent, but here is something else about why i find cenematic battles hard.
"No blocking"
Almost all of my charecters are defensively oriented, but simply in ac.
Adon, for example, has a rather pathetic con, but his ac is pritty high.
However, ac doesn't matter for anything in cenematic, leaving the build to it's offensive ablity, whitch is below par, and should be represented as such in the cenematic fighting.

I know, its just I was having a pm discussion with him and I was telling him a way to make the concept where he can be the same level and could do literally everything (other than some of the generic wizard stuff) he can do now, and a whole lot more
I expect a little more from the combat type teachers

Concussive is force, as far as i know. Shrapnel is not as much of a problem as most would think unless within very close proximity, because the amount that hits you isn't that much.
(Note. This should be taken with a grain of salt. I am not a military expert.)

Yeah, agreed, but some weapons are specifically designed for shrapnel to be the primary killing potential. Most standard grenades, for example, are fragmentation grenades. Obviously this may be different with a higher level of tech.
Also, if we're going for full realism, explosives should have a chance to stun/daze/deafen/blind (depending on the weapon), to represent being shell-shocked.

I am not combat based, I am the one who stands back and lobs explosives from the back row, I am not designed for one on one fair combat, I blow things up, that's pretty much it.
but what I was showing you was about how to better blow stuff up *pulls out hair at insanity*

I don't think stun because it wouldn't render you unable to move, just unable to respond quickly, so dazed.
Anything strong enough to render you stunned is pritty much instant-death anyway.

Contrary to popular belief, not everyone cares to min/max their characters. :P

This. Think of Jeff, who made a fighter type character because it could be simple, and still effective. He just wanted to hit stuff with a hammer. He didn't need fancy tricks. He just hit stuff. Hard. And he was my favorite Charecter in that campaign.
