Plus, the complaints are somewhat moot. Just choose to play something else that doesn't annoy.
Non-casters have endurance behind their abilities, while casters have spell cast limits per day.
This is why you'd bring a rogue. Locked door? Knock didn't work? Now what? Anti magic area? Tons of story specific scenarios tailored to the party situations to promote happy of their choices players having fun.
Cheers.
I prefer not to have to bend the story i had in mind just because one charecter isn't as useful.
But then again, I've never got to play an rl game for longer then 2 sessions, only be the GM, and for me that was a living hell that i continued doing out of guilt. Maybe i don't know what I'm talking about.
It's probably because I've never been a pc in a game that you actually progress and gain levels in normally.
When the pieces all work out, it's like good sex, a fine meal, or an excellent movie. Or all three in one night.
Role playing games, when done right, are things of beauty, just like any other work in the Arts and Humanities world, iirc the terms properly.
That's speaking from experience. I would avoid painting a foul picture without details to support such, because then all you are doing is trying to smear something without really contributing to resolving the perceived issue.
Cry wolf too much, and eventually people will realize you're just crying for attention.
Cheers again.

I would very much like the situational back and forth to stop on all accounts please. :)

Oh, I'm done.
Honestly, i can't talk here without causing problems, so i should just stick to gameplay from now on, and be useless there instead, like I've always been.
Ok ice, now you're really pissing me off....
Just because you aren't the min maxed Almighty flipping God doesn't mean you're flipping worthless.... if you want to whine do it off the board.

As for the monk SR problem, I'd probably employ a house rule to avoid stupidity (letting it be dropped with less than a standard action).
Ah, I could have sworn Foul was constantly regenerating those temporary hit points. Guess I was wrong!
Anyhow, he didn't respond so I'll just presume he had zero interest or didn't read my posts.
Cheers.
Still digging through Discussion, quite active today.
Diamond template. You linked it yourself. If he was doing it wrong, it wasn't in a way that I had ever noticed.
And yes, it certainly is active today.

Oh, it has little to do with power level, more to do with having any real significance in the actual plot.
....
*sigh* i can't stop checking this place, even when I'm frustrated.

And my characters were dull and uneventful in the plot, and did nothing to truly help.
After the plot point was over, everyone has so much to talk about to other charecters, because other characters form normal relationships that actually make roleplay availible through other means then having charecters randomly wander, and now I'm waiting, most everyone tied up, for something to so with someone who isn't settro.| Monkeygod |
In the immortal words of George Carlin, "YOU'RE DOIN IT ALL WRONG!!"
There's a vast variety of ways to make a badass rogue. Are they're plenty of spells that can pull off a lot of what they can do? Sure, but there's also plenty of defenses to block said spells, including, wait for it...other spells.
Ya know what there isn't much defense against? A stealth focused, sneak attacking rogue who sticks his poisoned rapier in your back, dealing a TON of damage, and maybe damaging your Con, your Int or your Str, among a lot other options.

Funny, fighters can use poison too, and can deal out more average damage then a sneak attack with a normal hit, from what i can tell.
Play a stealthy fighter? Oh, or a stealthy ranger with hide in plain sight. That works too.
8d8 = average of 36 damage.
Now, a fighter at lv 16 with a greatsword, how much will he be doing?
Three feats and a standard attack with a greatsword, you deal 8d8+1.5str, even while fully visible.

Okay, I would like to call a moratorium on the theoreticals for the next couple days. Unless you want to go check other parts of these forums where there are whole threads devoted to such discussions. Then go have fun.
Actual rules questions about a situation currently happening in game is still encouraged as always.
Icehawk, chill, step away, get something to eat, read a book, whatever you need to do to get a little perspective. You may have a character who didn't gain the story traction you wanted. Others did. It's okay. It happens. You don't need to stress about it so much. Nothing bad happens because of it. It doesn't make you a bad player. Being a good player is a constant learning process. you never actually arrive.

Lol
Renkai is becoming ranger instead of Magus
Already had that planned

It's funny, because after i make my characters, I'm almost instantly thinking that i should have made thier personalities different. They could of been better if they had x personality.
And lyn, this has been on my mind for weeks, driving me nuts, the endless feeling of not being significant, both in real life and here. I think that's why I play games. It makes me feel like I'm doing something larger then i really am, because in real life, i feel as if i contribute nothing to society.
I just usually keep concerns and options to myself, because i don't want them to interfere with your fun.
I'll return to doing that now.

You're 16. None of us do anything useful yet. Societal contributions come later. :)

Pretty much this...you're at a stage in your life when your job is learning. Escapism is fine. And actually can be a useful way to sort of try out different ideas and ways of relating to the world with someone who isn't really you. I've done this many times. Whether it works or not, you learned something and as long as you learned something it's not a failure.
And the most significant things in the world are small and easily overlooked.

What Dami said. It's a casual play Nintendo game.
You help out your villagers to earn money and get a better house. It's kinda pointless but also really fun. If you are eclectic like me, it's really great. :)
You just kinda struck me as the kind that would like it.
If you can get the kidlet to let you borrow the 3ds, the newest version is for it. :)

Last word: Sorry for encouraging the massive theorycrafting/couter-theorycrafting and then going to nap. Honestly, there are as many reasons to play any particular class as there are people. Classes that are too good aren't necessarily fun either, and since fun is the goal, maybe they're actually underpowered! ;D
Okay, but seriously that doesn't require a response. ;)
Let's get some posting done! Rowr!

Even the Furry thinks a game like that would be kinda gross. :/

By paizo standards, what's the definition of "object" for use in spells?
Tybalt Baneko
K. I was wrong about that anyways.
Are all the third party spells on the D20 pfsrd website supported here?
Tybalt Baneko
Well my more main magic item is an amulet to do most of the cantrips with. My Marvelous Medal of Minor Magics. ;)
I'm more or less just wondering if there's something I need to avoid.
I'm mostly just looking at the things on the sorc/wiz 0th level list.
Tybalt Baneko
"Unarm Foe" is very Tybs. If feasible it'll be one of his class cantrips.
Caster check vs your cmd or your weapon drops to your feet.

I ended up totally stressing and losing productivity today. I need to have a talk with my speech prof. One of her class exercises is causing more harm than help when it comes to my already high anxiety about speaking in front of people. :(
I had a lisp when I was in high school on account of braces having moved my front teeth quite a lot and my accent apparently really stood out. southwestern michigan is the absolute worst place I have ever lived for that. They are brutal about the slightest difference in anything, language being no exception (I can't say the nasal 'midwestern' short 'a' sound properly). Long story short, long term continual public humiliation left me with a debilitating stutter that was so bad I had trouble putting in an order at a fast-food restaurant or anything else that required verbal communication. Her favorite class exercise to 'cure' people of the ummms is like a nasty blast from the past for me. I ended up sitting in my car crying after class today. :(
And I am normally a confident person with no trouble asserting my own opinions....so you know, you're not the only one with neuroses, ice.
icehawk333
Yeah.
Mine act up at random, i seem to be set off by the most random things. They stick at the back of my head then come out of nowhere. Sometimes, i get a feeling of worthlessness for no reason at all, and still others i get depressed and bored for no reason, at any time in the day only fixed by sleep at the end of the day.
Tybalt Baneko
Well average cmd here is twenty some odd or 30 some odd.
Adon has a 40 something against disarm.
1d20 + 16 + 10 ⇒ (6) + 16 + 10 = 32
I actually have a higher bonus by using Weapon Snatcher.
1d20 + 11 + 3 + 16 ⇒ (6) + 11 + 3 + 16 = 36
Wow. Same roll even.
Perhaps this may be a bit powerful for a cantrip. I dunno.
There's also a cantrips that Makes you spiderman.
Tybalt Baneko
Ya it's caster check plus relative caster bonus.
I think we could just make it a ranged CMB vs cmd
