The lace that Tybalt has is fully organic. It records how Tybalt sees the world and how it reaches him as he sees it. If WoM were to do this he would have to remove it from Tybalt's memory first which would trigger the wards. It records the things he perceives with his six senses. (Sixth being magic vision) but this is in fact flawed. If Tybalt didn't notice it it did not get recorded. And he is not dependant on this nor does he actually use it outside of helping him recall things as he saw them.

Actually I think Tybs has the right of it. WoM can't be directly recorded. but people can remember him. they can share those memories telepathically. Or they can record those memories, with all their flaws. It's not 'evidence' as such, but it is a legit workaround.

I think the bigger issue at hand here too is--
People are playing, running around, as if they have 'Perfect Memory' due to some technology introduced.
Rather potent, regardless of -how- your gain your memories.
Wearer does make a good point, is this miracle Lace thing capable of storing all this pertinent data, so well? Sounds like a super duper insane cool power/ability.

A possible fix is, the LACE cannot 'remember' WoM, but your organic brain can, which is merely weak meat stuff! OR did that go out too when the LACE went in?

My take on the lace memory thing. I don't think it's recording a blasted thing. It's just facilitating connections that already exist in the brain, allowing you to access the data when you want it. It's not recording anything that normal memory doesn't.

And look- it's not like it's out of line for the power level here. Seriously. Almost Everyone here is immune to mind effecting...And we often play our characters with excellent memory anyway...

The culture is not the end all be all, no matter how much Johnny thinks so. WoM is not as powerful as folks are acting like he is. He's just exploiting a particular couple of tricks very well.

Lyn has this 100% right, like who wants a copy of there mind that can be read by any one, Johnnys is NOT a normal lace, as Johnny has senses others don't have, But it still works just as Lyn says, the lace works as an organic interface, when you need BOTH a live or just dead Brain AND a lace to do a personality back up.
