Err....color me confused (I'll confess to being pretty tired atm), but Fei has no reason to go to Vai's room right now, though - he knows she is with her family.
And I've got to turn in for the night anyway - 5:30am comes way too early these days for this old Dalesman... (o_O)

Under normal circumstances Ryleh would be unable to imprint again because she already had one mate. But she used wishcraft on herself to gain a human form so now all bets are off. Wishcraft tends to go off in wacky directions sometimes. In other words, haven't decided yet.

Vai used to have a roommate named Nasima. She's MIA due to the player having come down with a massive case of lack of free time. She's been on a field trip for months and no one knows when or even if she's coming back.
Melody used to have a private room,but after the creepy dude delivering a box of hearts from the dead thugs to her room, she wasn't too enthused about sleeping alone. So they decided to put her in Vai's room and move Nasima's stuff to a private room in case she ever decides to come back.
I don't remember if Vai was ever told about the change, but if she was the whole thing with Fei going boom drove it clear out of her head. She's having a hard time with change. Awkwardness ensues.

Nasima was the first friend Vai had at Avalon, and so they had a good relationship. Nasima is the reason Vai became a Champion - in order to help fight Khoda, who was slowly eating Nasima's soul (and also possessed a Seed of the aspect of Destruction).

Ryleh used wishcraft to make it so her kids could blend in, looking human most of the time. This made them more into a sort of were-dragon, where in human form there is no indication that they are a dragon, unlike a polymorphed dragon. Also, becasue of the very small number of them, Amythysts can imprint themselves on a chosen mate, and this allows them to have Amythyst dragons as children, no matter the race (or gender, in Taron's case) of the mate.
This is not general knowledge. Only recently have the dragons of Agartha made their presence known.
You won't find this info in a book or anything. The wishcraft also protects the knowledge, I believe.

The imprinting is actually the result of a different more ancient wishcraft done to preserve their species. The children being amethysts no matter the race of the other parent is part of the new wishcraft. But that only works if the other parents is their imprinted mate. Otherwise you get a half-dragon as usual. Though half-amethysts are insanely rare. Because of the whole imprinting thing. They don't really do casual relationships. What I haven't decided yet with Ryleh is if the wish used to change her into a were-dragon returned her to 'factory settings' as it were. :)
Imprinting was create as a way of preserving the species. They tended to be too independent and the birth rate was crazy low and getting worse. So they took measures. It's basically a compulsion. When they meet the 'right' person, they imprint and if this is accepted a permanent empathic bond is formed with the new mate. While the actual imprinting is instantaneous there is often a period of time where the direction things are going is dreadfully obvious to everyone but the dragon in question. Imprinting is permanent and generally a once in a lifetime sort of thing. This has led to some terrible tragedies in the past, but overall it has also done its job of keeping the species from dying out.
This is not general knowledge.

There was always my suggestion that Ephebe's ability to imprint again bleed over through the telepathic familial bonds.

I went back to re-read past posts to see if I am missing anything and read this:
