Etain. Ardiente grew up with them. They went through guard training together. Ardiente was the most talented of the group, which was why he got the assignment to Avalon in the first place, but they're all well trained firebenders. Alev is sarcastic and pessimistic. He uses stealth to his advantage in combat. Etain is vain and not that bright, but good-natured and generally optimistic. He tends to rely on brute force, always going for the most direct plan of attack. Elektra is kind of the 'mom' of the group, keeping the boys in line and being tough. She's the strategist of the group. She can conjure dual lightning blades, a technique she learned from her father. Her fighting style relies on precision rather than strength.
And not necessary at all. The relevant pieces of info have already been recapped in this thread for the most part. The rest is just fun background info for those of us who were there. :)

A rescue, the solving of a murder mystery, and the killing of several champions in a few hours.

I'm having so much fun reading the beginnings of this game!
Reading about Ephebe, Krays, James, Fei and the rest as students is so awesome!
Also all the characters who are no longer around make me sad.

Just got to the part where Ephebe learns Spin has left. Got me all teary eyed.
Couple of questions:
Is Pan still an active character? I think it might be interesting to have him and Silinrul meet.
How come Kam and Taron are mostly background characters right now? I know they have little ones on the way, but they were such a big part of the early story, and yet they seem to be hardly around now.
Also I was thinking of making some sort of character, either a student or maybe a random teacher who was around during the start of this game but left middle of that semester for whatever reason and is just now returning.
Would be kinda cool to play someone who knew Ephebe, Krays, Jiminy, etc when they were students, but left and so doesn't know who they've become.
Oh and because I know KC still randomly checks this thread,
Some time after I read the comment about the 'table of sin' aka go fish that was being played during the weekend of the survival field trip, I got Drowning Pool's Sinner stuck in my head, LOL!

Yes, Pan is still an active character. He is technically still a student, but spends most of his time teaching music classes. He's teaching Mel and Rakki both I think. He and Fieri are still close and still play an occasional random pickup gig in town even though the rest of the band moved on. Anyhow, he kinda can't leave, at least not easily. His tree got too big for easy transport. (He's a dryad.) And this place kinda works for him since his brother (Dennis) works in the factories. So he's planning to transition into full time teaching in the not too distant future.
