Another day, another death-defying mission into the unknown for the members of the most glorious Pathfinder Society. But this one promises to be fairly quiet... nothing but a few traps and old ghosts, right? Right?
Wotcher. This is the recruitment post for a non-PFS sanctioned run of my favorite scenario, Temple of Empyreal Enlightenment, with enemies altered with homebrew from various sources.
I'm looking for 4-5 players for this run. Traditional requirements for 1 post/day, etc in place.
I'll be looking for characters to fulfill a few categories- Ranged, Melee, Magic, Divine, Skills. In the event I have multiple applications for a single category, and they all seem of the same reasonable standard of backstory/personality/fluff, I MAY decide to choose players according to die roll.
Note that this scenario has a delightful balance between challenges for Traps, Combat and Skills; characters to deal with all three will be needed.
So, that aside, here we go-
CHARACTER CREATION RULES
Level: 4
Race: Core + Featured.
Class: All Paizo - ACG. Repeat, no ACG. Otherwise, go nuts. I can handle Synthesists.
Alignment: Preferably non-evil, go for it if you think you can justify it
Point Buy: 25
Hitpoints: Full at 1st, half rounded up then on
Traits: Two, one can be any campaign trait.
Drawbacks: One, optional. Receive an extra trait for taking a drawback.
Wealth: Average for level.
Backstory: Not much, just enough to inform some nice RP during this scenario. Note that every character needs to end up as a PFS member.
Personality: More than Backstory, again enough to inform some nice RP. I do not intend this to be simply a combat-slog, and indeed the scenario isn't written like that.

I nearly forgot to ask, can we use stuff from ACG as long as it has nothing to do with the hybrid classes? For example, the Mutation Warrior.

Ten Second Backstory Pitch: Former wastes bandit turned to religion and a better life after a near death experience.
Personality: Brash, loud, and impulsive, Karthan has little sense of tact and even less sense of hygiene. Having spent all his years in the deep desert robbing the unfortunate and being absolutely terrified of magic in nearly all it's forms Karthan has developed a healthy sense of caution in regards to all things magical. He often reminisces about the bad old days in the context of his current situation. Despite all this he is loyal to those he depends on and takes his religion seriously feeling that he owes his life and hsi freedom to his goddess and his new calling.

Rose was originally a slave, bought as a child by a powerful warlock in his final years. After his death, using the magic she learned, assumed his place without the townsfolk noticing him missing. While doing so, Rose became savvy in social matters, and, perhaps sadly, used to the power and prestige a powerful magician possesses.
As time passed, however, the flair of being an big fish in a small pond disappeared, and she departed to Absalom to join the Pathfinder Society.

Grew up in Alkenstar. Next to the Mana Wastes. Sometimes the cacti scream when you cut them. So yeah. Keep that away from me.

Being in the society is a lot like his bandit days except the people/creatures he waylays have nicer things and tend not to have guns.
I suppose I'll have to find the money for a bayonet...

Deylinarr here, submitting blaster-caster Zinthar. Fluff and crunch all done except gear: he was originally built as level 5 so could craft wands, I've got to go back and rebuy his equipment without that option. Should have it done either tonight or tomorrow.

There is an ongoing problem with the board here which has been preventing some people from being able to create new aliases and or edit old aliases. The developers are aware of the problem and are working to fix it. However, they have not said anything about when they might be finished. All I can say for sure is that I am also having the same problem, and the problem persists whether or not I am using my smartphone or a computer at the library to access the site.
For as much as I hate having to do lots of data entry twice, I will give a thumbnail sketch of the crunch on the character I have.

He also has a "handy haversack" that weighs in at 5 lbs, but can carry up to 120 lbs worth of gear while still weighing only 5 pounds. The haversack cost 2,000 gp. He's got a bunch of stuff in it, but it's mostly various different mundane supplies.
Hopefully the developers will solve the problem that is preventing me and various other people from editing aliases soon and I can properly enter all the information that is needed. For now that should hopefully be enough to evaluate the character from a crunch perspective. If the problem with the boards persists for too long I may end up entering everything into a message post, but I would prefer not to if I can avoid it.
