Here is the Submission For Degnax, his character sheet is in his bio. He is an Oni-spawn tiefling Freebooter/Skirmisher Ranger. He is an up close fighter who also helps buff his allies against their foes. His role on a ship would be Lookout/Carpenter (high perception and crafting skills) but can also fill in as a navigator if party separation or incapacitation should happen (high survival and knowledge geography)

Here is TheWaskally's submission for GM Knightmare's Besmara's Bastards. Good ol' Toby was in a unfinished Skull and Shackles campaign here on the forums. Toby was created using Rogue Genius Games Godling (clever) third-party class.
Role: Mate and shanty singer
Let's see if The Dice Gods (Long May They Reign) and Besmara be merciful on the All Hallow's Eve.
4d6, drop lowest: 4d6 - 1 ⇒ (1, 2, 6, 2) - 1 = 10
4d6, drop lowest: 4d6 - 4 ⇒ (5, 4, 6, 5) - 4 = 16
4d6, drop lowest: 4d6 - 2 ⇒ (4, 6, 2, 5) - 2 = 15
4d6, drop lowest: 4d6 - 1 ⇒ (2, 4, 5, 1) - 1 = 11
4d6, drop lowest: 4d6 - 1 ⇒ (1, 2, 4, 4) - 1 = 10
4d6, drop lowest: 4d6 - 1 ⇒ (3, 3, 3, 1) - 1 = 9
Rerolling the 9: 4d6 - 1 ⇒ (6, 6, 1, 4) - 1 = 16
So. 16, 16, 15, 11, 10, 10. Dice Gods Be Praised! I can work with this.
I'll let you know when Toby's ready for inspection!!

Avast! It be too late to repel boarders. Keep a weather eye out, and hold on tight. With both hands, if you please. There be squalls ahead!

Arr, I be rerollin' one o' them 8s.
4d6 ⇒ (5, 6, 5, 3) = 19 (16)
Aye, that be an acceptable array, cap'm!
I am thinking of reviving a character I've always wanted to play for this AP, a human Siege Mage. He'll start as a gunslinger at first level, but then go into wizard at 2nd. As far as typical role on the ship, I'm guessing mate probably fits best, since there's no 'gunner'.
Starting gold: 5d6 ⇒ (1, 1, 4, 1, 1) = 8 x 10
Ooof, average of 175 it is!

Here's my character's profile: Jacques Lacrimoisi. I changed my mind and decided to make him an Inspired Blade swashbuckler, but he will still become a Siege Mage wizard at level 2 and eventually take a few levels in Eldritch Knight before the campaign ends.
Theme song. :)

Well crap. I read that wrong. You and your 'flowery pirate prose'.
Nevermind then.Guess I return my focus to Legion: Remix!
Yes, 3rd party isn't allowed in my games, sorry. Apologies, I assumed you were going to rework the class in the following days, so I said nothing.

My undine will be able to help with that, I get Create Water and can Purify water(as if with Purify Food and Drink) at will as an SLA. You bring the ingredients and heat, and together we can turn anything into a soup! And no one will ever go thirsty!
I love it!

I'm submitting Veda, a Half-Elf Wind Mystery Oracle with the Cyclopean Seer Archetype.
Veda will be competent enough as a ship crew member, but I'm angling her toward engaging with the cyclopean and Ghol-Gan related parts of the campaign. She has the Ancient Explorer trait, and of course her archetype. She speaks Cyclopean, etc.
I suppose for ship's crew positions surgeon is possible. Sailmaker could make sense for a wind oracle too.
I believe the build is complete now, but I'll need to recheck to see if I've missed anything. I'm still working on background and gear.
Starting Money: 3d6 ⇒ (5, 3, 5) = 13

Oh deary me, a S&S recruitment? Plus, I roll for stats? Is it my birthday?

Roll: 4d6 ⇒ (3, 4, 6, 2) = 15
Roll: 4d6 ⇒ (3, 6, 1, 5) = 15
Roll: 4d6 ⇒ (4, 3, 1, 5) = 13
Roll: 4d6 ⇒ (3, 3, 4, 3) = 13
So a 10, 16, 13, 14, 12, 10. I've seen worse.

@GM Nightmare Knight: Looking into the Ekujae I found this:
Many Ekujae ritualistically send their half-elven children to be raised in fully half-elven clans, believing that half-elves will thrive amongst their own kind due to the two ancestries' different lifespans.
So a half elf Ekujae would make sense for the Kindred Raised alternate racial trait, yes?

Billybrainpan here with my submission. He's a sniveling little bastard with an ugly face and a peg leg but maybe he can slime his way into a place on this crew.
Goblin Gunslinger - working his way towards effectively dual wielding pistols but its a long journey. He has a natural climb speed and a pretty good profession (sailor) so is naturally inclined to work in the rigging.
Bog Rat remains a cowardly creature with a peg leg and heavily scarred face. He has survived his life in the shackles so far by groveling and serving whoever he perceives as strongest, richest, or otherwise most likely to protect and or benefit him. He has leveraged his natural proclivity for climbing into jobs working the rigging on whichever ship will have him.
Bog Rat has learned the best way to survive is to keep his head down and follow orders. Despite his appearance and cowardly demeanor he is a productive member of any crew he joins and a crackshot with his pistol.

I'd actually rather like to throw my hat into the ring as well. Let's see how the stats look...
Stat Roll: 4d6 ⇒ (3, 6, 1, 4) = 14 - 13
Stat Roll: 4d6 ⇒ (3, 5, 2, 1) = 11 - 10
Stat Roll: 4d6 ⇒ (1, 5, 1, 4) = 11 - 10
Stat Roll: 4d6 ⇒ (4, 6, 1, 6) = 17 - 16
Stat Roll: 4d6 ⇒ (1, 2, 1, 5) = 9 - 8
Stat Roll: 4d6 ⇒ (4, 2, 5, 5) = 16 - 14
Not bad stats at all - I'd rather like him to have at least one low stat, so I'll reroll one of those 10s to see what I can get.
Stat Roll: 4d6 ⇒ (5, 6, 6, 1) = 18 - 17
Very nice indeed.
GM, I wanted to run an idea by you, if it's not too much trouble. I was thinking perhaps a Deep One Hybrid Aquachymist to serve as the ship's surgeon, something like Robert Olmstead - an Ustalav-trained physician following the call of the sea that nascent Deep Ones experience. I know it's not the world's most optimized character, but would that be acceptable? If so, I'll try to work on my character during the outage, see if I can get him completed.

A question…is VMC allowed?
I had an idea. VMC Wizard for a familiar at lvl3. Specifically a parrot with the Sage archetype. It gives +3 appraise (bleh) but it can talk. And I liked the idea of a parrot that never talks until it passes a knowledge check, and squawks out the information from said check. It sounds both useful, and flavorful.

Hi, this is my submission, Mest Ianosh a ratfolk cook alchemist, as promised. I went with the Trap Breaker archetype which means he also covers trapfinding.
In the opening post, there's a mention that we don't have access to our weapons. That's fine, but... will we also not have access to reagents? I wonder because Mest would totally claim his reagents are cooking ingredients. That's not a total lie, since to him, alchemy is the same as cooking (think Breaking Bad).
Anyway, thanks for running.

Mest Ianosh was born in the Nidal port city of Orolo's Quay. His mother Yara disembarked from the ship she was hiding in to give birth, but missed the opportunity to climb back onboard. Scurrying away in the town's small places, Mest grew up hearing the wonderful tales of the sea and the undescribable feeling of the night breeze gently touching one's facial fur.
Given the small size of the city, however, it was inevitable that they were found stealing food one day. To win Mest's loyalty, the Kuthanites put his mother to the sword and put him in the service of the Umbral Court. As an Uskwood hunter, he spent a great many years running the streets of Pangolais to help uproot agents against the throne. For a time, he received praise and some glory for his work.
However, the call of the sea grew stronger and stronger in him. He learned that he loved mixing different stuff to discover its results, and he learned to cook as well as some secrets about alchemy. He found out his place is not serving under a throne, but doing what he loves. Being so adept at hiding, he managed to find his way back to a port, and hid in a merchant ship.
He learned that only in the Shackles, he would be able to find the freedom he yearned, so he hid from ship to ship until he found his way to Port Peril. He chose to have a drink in a tavern called the Formidably Maid to celebrate his victory. The world was ready for him to take it, to be free and mix things, discover secrets and find fortune. The winds of luck were on his favor as he looked out the sea into the horizon, when he felt a blow to the back of his head, and the floor approaching him very fast...

And with that...it's a ship's artillery in ogre form. :D
Haha, that looks awesome. Pretty sure there's already a big dumb guy on the ship in the first mod, though. I'll put that in my 'concepts for a future game' folder.
@Jacquelyn Shadowfire If this guy gets picked how would you feel about being buddies with a NE (or TN? Nah, I think probably NE/selfish type) rifle-maker from Pitax? Backstory would involve his dad being a rogue Alkenstar engineer poached by Prince Irovetti to set up a firearms workshop in his arts academy, then dad gets screwed over by Irovetti because of course he does and then this PC has to hightail it out of the River Kingdoms. They could have been traveling together for a while, two River Kingdoms Freedoms-loving folks out in the big bad world.
As far as ship role goes, from that list I guess he'd be a Mate since there's different kinds of mates. But if Sailmaker is important and nobody else is going for it I can always say he learned to fix sails at some point along the way.

Ahoy bone rollers!
@Ironperenti: Yes, the minimum should be equivalent to a 15 point buy.
@All: If your results would add up to less than a 15-point buy, ye may adjust 1 stat till ye reach at least 15 points or reroll the set of six. Also, no higher than 20 after racial modifiers this time 'round.
@Violant: I knew the siren's aroma of gunpowder would draw ye to me shores.

Now this is drastically better though still not great.
