Agraic keeps up his frothy assault! A stream of expletives emanates from his mouth!
Kishara |
Kishara glares at the tiny chip that lands beside her boot. You've got to be kidding me, no? *huffs*
"Say Kel, might work better for us both if we come at it from both sides, eh?" (Here's hoping Kel will step into ze flank for poor Kish)
Determined not to be disheartened by a lack of real progress, she gritted her teeth and redoubled her efforts her blades clanging off the statue in quick succession.

Kishara examines the door carefully, taking her time while she looks for traps. If she decides it is safe, she will try and disable the lock.

Kel Na' Yaa |
Kel stays near the front, the blade of his rapier still housed in the combat scabbard.
Well, we can't say this place hasn't been interesting, eh? Let's see what's behind door number 1...
He waits for the more silent and stealthy types to go in first, though.
Agraic Shieldarm |
The half-elven barbarian breathes heavily for a good minute as he comes down from yet another anger-filled fit.
"Not sure how many of those things I can take on today."
Soulveliss Sangre |
Soul shakes his head and with a grin "was it really that hard for you, we'll must be that soft elf blood eh"
Shifty |
For long range planning purposes: The idea was that this group will be continuing AFTER this scenario to complete the Destiny of the Sand trilogy. You are all welcome to play. If anyone will NOT be playing through, let me know ahead of time so I can round out the group for open recruitment in Game Day IV. Cheers!
Soulveliss Sangre |
I am fine with staying ^_^ game has been fun
Henrick Bulwark |
Definitely staying on!
"I am good to move on, but I am happy to rest and eat, if you need to recharge. These ruins have been here a long time, so whatever is behind that door can wait a few hours."
Agraic |
The half-elf gives Soul a STARE.
"When you stand tall and take a pyramid down, you c'n talk. 'til then, I don't want to hear it. Some of us have been busting our asses in here for a while."
Explore, Report, Cooperate. Explore, Report, COOPERATE! It's almost a monotone mantra playing through the barbarian's head. Party members, not targets.
"Y'know, it's already been one heck of a day, how do folks feel about getting some rest?" he finally offers. Maybe with some rest I won't want to tear his head off.
That's IC, Soul. OOCly? All good. And yes, I'm down for three, that's why I'm here.
Soulveliss Sangre |
Soul grins at the clear anger from the half race
"aahaha such is the case one only gets angry when words right a tad to true. No offense meant friend only made an observation aahaha...but if you all fell like ye need it we can rest"
all in good fun agric ^_^
Shifty |
Destiny is 1-5 for the first two, then 3-7 for the third instalment - so plan accordingly :)
The party pulls back whilst still able and in reasonable condition and stays at the campsite in relative safety and comfort. At dawn they rise early to get back inside the cool pyramid before the unrelenting sun begins to rise and burn.
They march their way back to the unlocked but unopened door.
Agraic |
With a night's rest, the half-elf beserker is much more at ease.
"Thank you. Normal Society way of handling things is gogogogo until you drop or it drops, whatever it might be. Getting regrouped will help, I think?
Soulveliss Sangre |
Soul moves up the the door "well let's see what other dangers this place holds then" soul throws open the door...
negative stealth ^_^: 1d20 - 10 ⇒ (8) - 10 = -2
Henrick Bulwark |
Anyone injured at all? We might as well go in at full strength - I have a CLW wand, just roll your own if you need it and I will track the charges.
PF Society Pregen |
Ok, so, I'll prepare the same spells except for False Life instead of Glitterdust and Enlarge Person instead of Ear Piercing Scream. I'll cast False Life, then use Mage Armor from my wand again. These are very long duration and can be cast before we get to the room. I'll also consume a first level spell to gain a reservoir point. Quick Study False Life to Create Pit. Outside the room we left off, I'll cast Enlarge Person on Agraic and Shield on myself from my staff. Then Quick Study Enlarge Person back to Ear Piercing Scream.
After her defensive wards, Enora nods and says: There, now I'm ready.
False Life: 1d10 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8

Henrick Bulwark |
Ready to rock!
Agraic |
"Woah."It's the first time Agraic's had the honor of being Enlarged.
There's a bit of a smirk as he readies his guisarme.
"Let's hope that the corridors aren't too tight. Thank you."
MWK Guisarme Plus Power Attack = 1d20+8-1(+2 if raging) Damage = 2d6+7+3(+2 if Raging) Putting this here so I don't have to do the math later.
PF Society Pregen |
Enlarge gives you a +2 size bonus to strength. So with a rage you should have 24 str, which is a +7 bonus. If you two-hand the guisarme, you're doing 2d6 + 10 (you get 1.5 times 7 which is 10.5) + 3 for power attack (two-handed weapon). So I think your rage damage is short 1. ;-)
It's merely self-preservation. If you're a bigger target, I have a better chance to survive.
The halfling winks to show she's only kidding.
Agraic |

Unchained Barbarian only gives +2Attack/Dam and +1 Will saves while Raging. Trade-off is if raging drops, odds are the barbarian raging doesn't drop as the bonus hp (2 per HD) get taken off first.
Kishara |
Soul shakes his head and with a grin "was it really that hard for you, we'll must be that soft elf blood eh"
Kishara joined Agraic in giving the half-orc a pointed look. She raised an eyebrow and chuffed a scoffing laugh. "In my experience, it's not the elf-blood that is soft." She had grown up in Westcrown, where human faces dominated the crowd and human lips whispered their prayers to devils from the safety of warm homes while shadows stalk the less fortunate through the night-shrouded alleys.
But she waved away the dark thoughts and gave Kel a weak smile, not wanting to offend him by the implication. She conversed with the group that evening as she honed her blades with a whetstone.
That's all the buffing Kish has available to her.
She would have preferred a stealthier approach, but if Soul was willing to stick his neck out... who was she to argue. She peered into the room once he had kicked open the door.
Perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (10) + 10 = 20
Kel Na' Yaa |
Kel gives Kish a small smile, letting her know he isn't offended at all, and during the night polishes his rapiers and sharpened their already keen blades before turning in.
The next day, he takes up a postion on the other side of Soul, just in case the half orc got overpowered with his brash tactics. This way, the swordsman would be flanking with Kish.

Huge granite slabs form the peaked roof of this chamber, the walls of which are incised with thousands of tiny hieroglyphs.
In the center of the chamber lies an open stone sarcophagus, its granite lid cracked and broken on the floor next to it. A beautifully decorated wooden coffin lies inside, its lid also askew. Four alabaster canopic jars stand like guardians at the foot of the sarcophagus, while various grave goods lie heaped around the walls of chamber.
The mummy of Sekh-pa-Mefer III waits in his burial chamber accompanied by what appears to be what would have been a hieracosphinx, back when it was alive thousands of years ago.
"Prostrate yourselves before me and recognize my godhood"
Henrick Bulwark |
I was delaying to see if anyone understood the language. Since Henrick's hated foe is the undead, I think he would probably charge right in...so I hope the mummy didn't say "let's be friends!"
"I don't understand you, ancient one, but I think it is time for you to finally be at peace!"
Henrick enters the room, and shoots his crossbow at the hieracosphinx.

Soul? There's a thing you can do called 'spoilers' Instead of doing what you did for OOC above, put spoiler instead of ooc, so open bracket spoiler close bracket open bracket /spoiler close bracket. Then you can put your actions in there and the GM can see them for when your turn does come up.
