Alvoise of Karcau |

”This...i haven't seen this, but somehow i feel i have. This requires a more thorough search."
Alvoise gives a puzzled look at Jayla’s words. She’s seen it but she hasn’t? What’s that supposed to mean. I bet dwarves built it. He steps closer to the structure then runs one hand along it. He listens to Jayla’s theory. This fell from the sky? It looks more like the cavern collapsed on some strange dwarven building. He began looking for runes or arcane symbols for evidence that magic was involved.
”So we shouldn’t tell the technic league about this is what you’re saying Jayla. Do you think the metal could be used for weapons and such?” He raps his knuckles on the side of the structure.
How widely known is the Technic league? Would an average citizen of Karcau know about it?

Jayla Talusia |

"I would deny the Tech League this. Their motivations are unloved, they would dismember and dissect my people, they are obsessed with technology. Any member coming after me would find my rapier aimed at his heart."
At the mention of weapons
"I know of no means, but metals are used in crafting, i don't doubt a way is or can be found to do so."
I'd reckon the average wouldn't, but merchants and connected people might through their travels. The technic league holds indirect power and influence in Numeria.

Henric Xantrian |

"Do you know anything of the metal's chemical properties?" Henric asks, suddenly more interested in Jayla's words.

Raskir Windspeaker |

"I have heard of sky metal. It can be crafted into powerful weapons."
Raskir surveys as much of the structure as he can and then tries climbing on it to examine the top side.
Climb: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 1 = 19
Are the windows intact, and can I see in?

Raskir Windspeaker |

Raskir beckons Tuuli over and whispers to her, and the owl flies in through the open wing to investigate. Raskir waits a few moments and then follows.
I can now speak with birds (2nd level shaman ability. She has pretty good stealth.
stealth owl: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (1) + 15 = 16

Henric Xantrian |

"An entire ship made of skymetals..." Henric muses, rubbing his beard. "Raskir, what does your feathered friend see?"

Jayla Talusia |

".....the day i woke, the day of my first memory, i was taken by the Tech League. Aside from overhearing plans of possible purposes for myself, some of the Tech League's engineers told stories of smaller expeditions. Groups of 8 went in and if they were lucky half came out, on "succesful days". More often than not merely 2. May your bird companion find better chances than they did."

Xaikon Traxnik |

Xaikon becomes completely intrigue to the conversation as she never heard of "sky metal", and structures made of this "sky metal". She simply just stares at the structure as they speaks.

Alvoise of Karcau |

”Do the kobolds know of any other structures like this?”
Alvoise stares at his reflection in the in structure’s inexplicable glass sheets. ”Why would they have mirrors?” he wonders. He shrugs and looks into the opening as the owl enters.
”Half dead on a successful day?” Alvoise repeats. ”That’s not my definition of success. I guess dwarves didn’t build this. Do you think this was the ‘star’ that hit this mountain ten years ago? Could something in there be responsible for the plague? Does the Technic League not have the plague?”
He shakes his head. ”400 years ago, ten years ago. Things are falling from the sky and I had no idea.”

Jayla Talusia |

"We might as well think chances decent this was that "star". I would not be surprised if whatever "thing" is killing the kobolds came from within. According to the tech league, these metal things are connected to my people."

Henric Xantrian |

Henric's face furrows. "I do not know," he says finally. "Forgive me, I was... Not myself for a moment." There was no telling which of his 'passengers' had taken over. "Did I really say that? It looks nothing like a ship," he mutters in confusion.
Whoops. Found it a bit hard to separate player knowledge from character knowledge there. Good catch, Raskir.

Henric Xantrian |

Thankfully, Henric is crazy and has dozens of voices in his head at once, so he has a convenient excuse. :p

Valeria Avila Leonard |

"Since it is made of skymetals, I wonder what the worth is for the metal alone?
And I believe skymetals are rare, but the demand for some skymetals is through the roof and we could make a fortune."
you can almost she her eyes having platinum coins for irises
as the gives the hand gesture for cash.
Greedy nature taking over

Xaikon Traxnik |

Seeing Tuuli returning from the crack in the structure, Xaikon decides to take a look at the top of the structure, by doing a flying hop on to the structure moving to it's highest point to have a better look at it.
Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (18) + 9 = 27 [+2 (strix) dim light or darkness]

DireMerc |

For simplicity I will describe it as it is and you can decide how your character interprets it
This side of the ship has been ripped away from the main bulk of the vessel, allowing access into its interior. The torn metal hull juts out viciously in every direction, as if some internal force blew out through the area.
You can climb through the wreckage with a successful Climb check (DC 15). Those that fail cut themselves on the sharp metal, receiving 1d4 damage and must try again.
This long, high-ceilinged room is a tangle of wreckage, cables and broken, empty pipes. A number of knobs, buttons and levers cover the walls and others panels throughout the room, but whatever its purpose, you are unable to fathom it. A metal ladder sharply ascends to an exit in the far wall. Electricity occasional arcs across the room. Once every 1d6 rounds.

Valeria Avila Leonard |

"I can't pass up the chance for riches inside, who wants to go with me?"
Climb: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17
Yes I put a rank in climb, since you never know when you need it, and the auto +3 for putting a rank in helps.
"If someone has rope, I could help pull you up."

Alvoise of Karcau |

Alvoise shrugs. “Elementals? I don’t know much about that. Magic has to be involved someway. But a thought did occur. We keep calling it sky-metal, but why? Metal doesn’t come from the sky. Not unless it’s put there. So who put this up in the sky? Is it some type of weapon? Or observation post?”
He starts to climb the structure.
climb: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
After reaching about ten feet, he gets over confident and lunges for a far hand-hold. He slips and cuts himself as she slides along the metal.
damage: 1d4 ⇒ 4
"Just great."

Jayla Talusia |

The markings on Jayla's skin start glowing, an extra concentration goes through her.
Nanite surge
Climb: 1d20 + 5 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 + 5 = 18
With nimble skill, Jayla scales the distance, ending in the open space.
"This is...peculiar. Be aware, an electric arc is ahead."

Henric Xantrian |

Climb: 1d20 + 2 + 1d6 ⇒ (8) + 2 + (6) = 16
Henric closes his eyes, and lets a memory rise within him. An Ulfen berserker, long ago, struggling up a sheer cliff-face. He opens his eyes, holding the memory fresh in his mind, and climbs.
When he reaches the top, a husky laugh sounds, somewhere in the back of his head, and he visibly shudders.

Xaikon Traxnik |

After looking about from atop the structure, Xaikon heads to the crack where everyone else are entering the strange structure.
She hops glides to either side of the crack studying it to see where she can drop-glide safely into cavity below, before finally dropping down gently.
reflex: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13 She not needing to climb up into the structure, but dropping into the cavity. Not sure if this would be needed.

Alvoise of Karcau |

”Well, we don’t call rain ‘sky-water.’ We shouldn’t call this sky-metal. That’s my point. Thanks for the nature lesson.”
Alvoise continues to press his inner forearm to stop the bleeding. He studies the structure looking for a better route to climb. After a minute, he checks his arm again. Satisfied that the bleeding has mostly stopped, he begins to climb again.
climb: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14 damage: 1d4 ⇒ 4
The smoothness of the metal makes the climb difficult. He falls again. Pacing at the bottom of the structure, Alvoise takes some calming breaths. After a minute, he stops, closes his eyes, and exhales gently.
Right!" he says with a laugh and begins his ascent.
climb: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25
Clearly, he learns from the two failed attempts and nimbly reaches the top.
down to 4 hp from those two climb check failures. :(

DireMerc |

-xaikon: Would be an acrobatics check to drop down but your fine.
-Raskir: Tossing up the rope would be difficult but we can assume you give an end to someone who makes the climb however even with the rope the check would be at least 10. Your trying to navigate trough wreckage and sharp spikes.
-Alvoise: You can use Raskir's rope and make it on your second attempt.
If you try to make it to the ladder roll a reflex save just in case. I will check if a lightning pulse happens.

Raskir Windspeaker |

OK.
Raskir climbs up the rope somewhat awkwardly and cuts a big gash on his arm as he tries to climb in.
damage: 1d4 ⇒ 4
climb: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
damage: 1d4 ⇒ 1
After two failed attempts he slides back down and waits to see if anyone can fashion a better way up.

Raskir Windspeaker |

Thanks, I always forget about that.
Raskir takes his time climbing up the rope with Alvoise's help. He stares in awe at the strange interior, checking for obvious dangers (apart from the electricity).
"Jayla, do you know anything about this?"
perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (16) + 9 = 25

Alvoise of Karcau |

He touches, but doesn’t press, the buttons. ”What are these? Has —” An arc of electricity interrupts his question. ”Has anyone seen something like this before?”
He points to the ladder. ”Do you want to go that way? It’s a good idea having a pair of scouts, Valeria. Anyone want to join me? I can see well in the dark.” Another arc of electricity flashes to life.
Any words on the buttons or doorways? (not that we’d know which language it is). Are the kobolds coming with us or will they wait outside?

Xaikon Traxnik |

Xaikon stands in awe of the strange looking interior of the structure, and the random arc of lightning taking place further back.
"I never seen such strange walls. Lightning there. Danger there. Is this a place of powerful sorcerers?"
