Numeria has a long history of mystery and wonder buried under its rugged landscape, for on that one fateful night thousands of years ago, the Rain of Stars scarred the land. The fragmented remnants of a ship from beyond the stars fell from the sky, scattering strange technological ruins and deadly perils across the land. Today, these sites are feared by the barbaric tribes and coveted by the sinister spellcasters of the Technic League. Yet something worse than brutish berserker or super-science wizards has risen to power in these hidden technological ruins.
Something stirs in the shadows of Numeria and unless someone figures it out the whole world could be in danger.
Casting: When casting a spell defensivly if you fail you do not automaticly lose the spell, rather you provoke an attack as you normally would for not casting defensive. If you are hit you must make a concentration check dc 10+damage taken if you fail this check you lose the spell.
Rolls:
Many rolls will be handled by the GM in secret.(don't worry, I don't fudge.)
Any result that can influence the character behavior will not be rolled open.
Rolls that will be handled by the GM:
Perception
Sense Motive.
if you make the check I will send you a pm or make a post and put it in a spoiler depending on the situation.
Sometimes I will roll Initiative others I will ask you to roll depending on the situation. In some situation (rarely) I will bypass init entirely and have you all go first and enemies second or have enemies go first and you all go after.
Combat rules:
I'm a fair GM, I dont roll combat in secret, I don't change results, I don't ignore bad calls from the characters.
Sometimes, character dies, but I'm not a player killer, if I think that an encounter will be easy handled, when it should be more challenging, I will make it a more challenging, if the party it's not prepared to face something, I will drop hints, if they insist... well killing one or two players never made me lack sleep...
Actions:
I'm a GM that do not punish the character for trying something new or cool, or even strange. Visual appealing actions are encouraged, the dc will of course depend on what are you trying, but you can try! If what you want to do is wicked cool, I can even bend the game mechanics to allow it! The most importat part is: You are villains. Villains are smart, resourceful and have style! Have you ever seen a memorable villain that could just swing his sword and do nothing more?
Posting Rate
If it could be done, I expect 1/day posting, if you can post more, it will really good.
During weekend, this rule does not apply. If you are able to post, great! But dont stress over this, everyone need some time to rest (In my case, I need time to play and DM :D on my tabletop games).
Level up
Aside from character creation, when you level up, if you want something not from core rulebook, you'll need to search it inside the game. basicly what you need to do is just show in game your character is searching for that knowledge. This rule is not meant to prohibit anything, I just don't like something like this: "Character always as a full caster, never picked up a sword in his entire life, and then he gain a new level and says: Master, I'll level up as a fighter now..."
"Perhaps we could employ the kobolts as laborers? If they dig the silver out and sell it to us at a good price we could still make a profit and at minimal risk....Of course if you would prefer to not continue we could cut our loses and move on but I'd rather have more silver." he says
"Even using the kobolds to mine, the workers on the surface will still be at risk to the disease from the kobolds. Also how long would the kobolds last due to disease and their disappearing bodies."
"I believe that is a good idea. Make kobolds happy and safe from disease. Keep the settlement also safe from the disease.", Xaikon nods Jayla, "I agree good idea. That little incident took us totally by surprise."

Jayla quickly looks at the injuries of the group.
"Provided you all take plenty of rest, i can tend to injuries as well." If so, take 10 for 16 for long term care. Restore 2 Hp to the group, provided they take ample amount of rest.

”Yeah, getting rid of the creature may make this enterprise more successful,” Alvoise says. At the mention of rest and healing he shrugs, ”A priest once explained to me that positive energy heals and negative energy harms except for some beings associated with the undead, like me. I can thank my father for that,” he adds flicking the stub of his cigarette to the ground and stamping it out.
”You can treat injuries? I’d appreciate that Jayla, but the day’s just begun. We can explore more, don’t you think?”

Raskir, who was healed after setting off the explosion, is fully healthy. He offers to treat everyone and let Jayla rest. I have +8 to heal so can take 10 also.

Out of earshot of the kobolds, Raskir confides, "Let them guide us in the mine. If they help us, they can go freely. If they betray us, then their lives are forfeit. I think they are too afraid to fight us again."

Jayla nods at Raskir's suggestion.
"That would be a wise course of action. As Valeria said, they respect their "cousins", i don't expect them to for now."

Alvoise nods to the others, ”So it sounds like we’re in agreement. Rest to bind our wounds and recover from the fight. Allow the kobolds to guide and help us. Should we attempt to meet the kobold chief and shaman?”

Alvoise examines the bandages with satisfaction and appreciation. As the group recovers from the kobold fight and discuss their next course of action, he relaxes. ”So do you think we should approach the kobolds after we defeat the monster giving them trouble? It’d make us look strong in the eyes of the tribe. Of course the shaman and chieftain may see us as a threat at that point.”
The kobolts have taken well to their role as servants. The two named Sharptooth and Mikmak quickly follow any command given and actually seems eager to serve.

Alvoise watches his companions getting healed, a wistful smile on his face. What’s it like to be healed by positive energy? My father’s heritage...at least I can stand in the light of day without problems.
”Should we bring a gift to the chieftain? Valeria, can you ask Sharptooth and Mikmak about the chieftain? What we should expect when meeting him, formal greetings, and the like.”
Xaikon remains nearby watching the kobolds carefully as Valeria speaks with them.
She walks a little closure, "I wondering how many kobolds form the clan under the control of the chief and shaman, minus the 4 we killed yesterday. That would give us an idea of how many more kobolds we may have to battle."
"In the whole tribe? I would guess two dozen bloodscale warriors, a dozen slaves from other tribes and I hear a couple shadowscales have joined as well but they aren't slaves. Then there is the shaman, his apprentice and the chief and about a dozen who don't fight little ones and females." explains Mikmak

As the conversation continues with Valeria translating, Alvoise nods in resignation. ”So even if we kill the kobolds’ enemy, the chieftain would probably see us as a threat still. Great.”
He polishes the pommel of his rapier. ”Anyone in your tribe who is neutral to ‘longshanks’? Hopefully a rival to the chieftain.” He likes the time it takes for Valeria to speak to Mikmak and Sharptooth and then translate their answers. It gives him time to study the kobolds, judging how trustworthy they are.
"There are some who would oppose the chieftain and the shaman most of use just want to leave this place but the chief is a strong warrior with a magic axe and the shaman has magic! We dare not oppose them." says Sharptooth and Mikmak nods
"There is but only a kobolt could make such a claim and he would need something to show he is worthy to lead...For the current chief that's his magic axe that he used to kill a longshank warrior with." says Mimak
"It could be done, if you fight your way to the chief defeating some of his guards and declare a challenge of leadership the tribe will most likely stop and wait to see the outcome." says Mikmak
