Safe travels, Mark!

I have Christmas with one side of the family on Christmas Eve, with another on Christmas Day, and am finally seeing Jumanji the morning of the 26th, so I might not get a chance to post again until after that. Enjoyable holidays to everyone, in the meantime!

Where are you going to go to look for Marce, Phillip?

Male Halfling Inquisitor of Calistria (Heretic archetype)

Intent was to head to the shipyards and attempt to use the slip grapevine from there?

Merry to all.
Enjoy.
And hanging out already for the Wrath of the Righteous CRPG.
Running Marikel through my 4th Kingmaker CRPG run. (though still not finished 3rd run yet. :-)

I'm still recovering my equilibrium after the holidays. I've started a gameplay post a couple of times but haven't managed to finish it. Should get it done tomorrow. Sorry for the delay.

No problems. I have had a crazy few shifts and days + sick 18mo so I get it!

Hey, Tendal, I sent you a pm. Just fyi.

You roll dice in this game.

Sometimes, they roll you.

Which badge are you flashing, Gristav?

I only have the one, the courier's badge. I suppose Gris _could_ fake any badge he'd seen. But I don't think Gris would suppose that, with Braddon's genuine article at hand.

Anyway... it's the courier's badge.

Ah, that badge! I had forgotten about that one. There are so many rabbit holes in this game, even I don't remember what was down all of them.

Sorry for any misunderstanding.
Braddon wants to check out the Publican, then wander up to where Arnando should be.

Sorry for the slow posting, guys; I've been dealing with some family issues this week. I'll post in gameplay tomorrow.

Male Halfling Inquisitor of Calistria (Heretic archetype)

Pausing to appreciate the symmetry playing out in thread... the last time Phil was trading words with Esmeralda, Gristav was also seeking succour from Arnando. Only 6 years and roughly 7,000 posts in between!

Phillip's part mental owner did consider going a bit further and requesting in code for nude attendants and a spongebath for Snake... but considered getting a slight en-rouge-ening of his cheek was reward enough :P

Eight, actually. That was Starday, 3 Arodus, and now it's Sunday the 11th. Of course, a couple of those days passed fairly quickly when you were traveling back and forth to Roderic's Cove.

It occurs to me we may want to regroup the party, and not indulge Gris' whimsies.

Shall we assume there's no answer at Harbor View Apartments, again? It's no kind of failure, to have _only_ restoreed Braddon and visited Arnando, afterall.

So as you know I am an Emergency Physician. I will attempt to check in as regularly as I can, but I have no idea how things are going to go over the next few weeks here in the US. Sorry, stay safe and wash your hands.

You take care too. Especially on the front lines.

Don't let them push you too hard. Try and get enough rest.

Remember, the best thing you can do for the sick is to stay healthy yourself.

Now working from home. Which means I have other things to do apart from checking the game. Will try and prioritise this though. But everything is all over the place.

Male Humanly Awesome 'n Totally Rockin' Paladin of Greatness

Man you ain't kidding, Braddon. These are some crazy times.

And I hope, Gristav, that you'll at least get your job back once this insanity passes? I'm hoping they aren't letting you go because of this mess because that would be a bunch of bull.

My county in Texas is going into lockdown tomorrow. Every county in Texas makes its own call and ours decided to shut it down. I'm a driver for UPS and there ain't no shutting us down.

I lost the job because I do too many things and some of it looks like it can be literally phoned in from Colombia, and the rest you have to pay attention to understand. So new CEO with no time to pay attention looks at my 55-yr old, 40-years in the business salary, compares it to the Colombian company's rate, and thinks the math is simple.

Male Humanly Awesome 'n Totally Rockin' Paladin of Greatness

Man I am sorry to hear that, bud. That is such a freaking joke. That's so typical of companies. Doesn't matter how WELL you do your job it just boils down to pay rate. "Oh you've been here how long? And you make how much? Well sorry, we're going to have to let you go. We've just decided to go in a different direction. Thanks for all you've done and have a great day!"

Jerks.

So sorry, Gristav.

A similar thing happened to my dad toward the end of his career. The company ended up having to hire him back as an independent consultant for a few years to train the younger guy who got his job because he couldn't figure out how to do everything my dad had done, which was a big boost for my dad's ego at the time.

Hp :26/26; AC 11(15) / 11 tch / 10(14) ff; Fashionable Merchant 4

God grief that is horrible Gristav. I am so sorry. I hope the company realizes its error and brings you back on in some capacity as soon as possible.

I am still kicking. Detroit is in the middle of a crazy upswing in cases. Its not as visible as NYC where my buddy is dealing with epic horror, but we are busy.

I will try and post if I can tonight.

hp 7 / 38; AC 16; Init +2; 3 Str damage Male Half-elf Ranger 4

I also add my sympathies, Gristav, for what good they'll do. You're a smart man though, so I think you'll be okay... even in America.

I'm stupidly lucky. Like Javell, I'm in the mail business. They're getting all non essential staff to stay home, but as I'm international complaints, that counts as frontline. So I'll still be around for a while.

You all take care in these unprecedented times.

Male Humanly Awesome 'n Totally Rockin' Paladin of Greatness

Man o man you ain't kidding, Zeta. New York is getting absolutely blasted. Nearly HALF of the cases in America are sitting in NY. That's just crazy to think about.

And like Braddon said, definitely take care out there because these are truly some crazy times.

Male Halfling Inquisitor of Calistria (Heretic archetype)

Echoing the sentiments of stay safe all. We've been in effective lockdown a while now (as we had a cold come through the household early last week) and are kind of just hanging out for the government to press the big red button and shut it all down for a while.

We're ensconced with interwebs and online learning and whatnot though... and coffee for days :P

Y'know, Tendal/Zeta, you're on a sort of front line. Take care. I'ma go drink to your health.

K, back.

On my front, one of the guys contracting part of my position called an hour ago about _another_ customer's server he was building, how come it can't X? He described what he saw, and although I've _never_ walked that path, I pointed to two places where trouble might come from...

Half hour later, he texts back, right on both points.

And he didn't have to call Colombia.

Which helps my morale, and I needed that, because looking at 13 years in one place and trying to fit it on a resume is an emotional ride, at least for me.

That is the short-term plan. But can't live there, Mrs is stroke survivor, so I need to breadwin insurance the consultant gig won't provide.

Step at a time. But forward.

Still doing ok. Detroit is a bit of a mess, as I imagine most of the major metropolitan areas are or will be. The system that I work for started out well resourced, so while we are burning through PPE at a furious clip, we started ahead, so there was some time to flex. That being said, I have bought my own gear and have a N100 mask on the way to myself soon. I don't want to get myself or my family sick.

Thank you for the well wishes, I will post when I can.
