Hi again Blake's Tiger and Ewokbanshee, nice to see you both back for round two. And wow is Solenopsi tricked out with sweet new options: race, archetype, background all in one package. Looking forward to seeing how that all works.

Hi there, I, too, have a PC that I would prefer to play (who is about to start the final combat of a scenario), but if Woodenman finishes his game first, I am happy to play a different PC.

The combination is not any different than a vesk soldier except fewer HP and no armor bonus at level 1 in this scenario. By 6th level, he'll be a fire ant soldier, though. :)

I'm going to aim to get this started on Wednesday. The Cries from the Drift game that both Woodenman and I are in will be either done or very close to it then. And I don't want to wait too long here before starting.

You guys can feel free to introduce your characters in gameplay if you'd like in the mean time.

Is there any more information available to our characters about the other racers?

There's certainly more information to be gained by asking questions to Laboni and/or investigating the opposition via sense motive checks. Twik and Ella just gleaned quite a bit. See their information on my most recent gameplay post.

Are there any other people/beings going through the junk piles? How about children using the piles as a playground?

@Haastaskin: There are other pit crews going through the available junk. See most recent post for details. Btw, if you have more questions like this one (Qs that are basically in-character), don't hesitate to put them in gameplay rather than asking them out of character here in discussion!

@Arnold (?): There's nothing in your profile right now, if you're using Iseph, please put their info in so I have something to reference. Also I need the questions at the top of the discussion thread answered for you.

I'm thinking that none of the characters in the group probably understand Vesk. With the possible exception of those with telepathic abilities of course. There are reasons why Haastaskin didn't give all of her speeches to Laboni in Common.

Unfortunately, 'Limited Telepathy' means you can only communicate with creatures, with whom you share a language...

I don't speak Vesk. I was just responding to the Common section, "If you don't I will then and there challenge you to personal hand to claw combat."

Which would be a death sentence for this poor recruit. ;)

Fair enough. Of course Haastaskin did not actually say that the challange would be to the death. But apparently the spirit of her message was understood.

On a another subject I think Twik is probably our best ranged attacker and should probably take control of the kinetic weapon as well as being the prime remote pilot.

Whether Twik or someone else does so, I'd suggest someone go ahead and fire off that kinetic weapon so we can keep the race going quickly. Since some people don't get to participate very much during it, I like to get through it as fast as possible.

I'm travelling tomorrow and will be out of pocket for a day or so. I should be able to resume posting after that though.

Solenopsi, you know that Ratrod can absorb the energy weapons, right?

The dice gods were not in favour of Twik during that race. His Piloting rolls were 1, 4, 6, 8, 9, 9 and 14.

And he saved the worst till the end.

Sorry about that. Moved over the past two days and just about everything got away from me.

I've played this scenario two times already and never considered just waiting in line. lol. I may be a bad person.

Arnold, used to having to do mind-numbingly-boring jobs, calmly (and fatalistically) waits in line.

According to my notes, everyone but Ella took a subdermal implant, and everyone bought an extra SMC album for themselves. Is that right?

Correct on my part, at least.

If Ella didn't take the subdermal implant, that was an oversight of mine. She would have accepted it.

Solenopsi will take the "sell on eBay" option for her purchased SMC album. :)

Sure I think Haastaskin would have had she had the funds from the previous mission. I wasn't sure about that at the time.
