3 rounds to pinpoint with detect magic - if he moves - and with Victor running around invisible in that mix... it would just be our luck to pinpoint and kill him instead (which isn't a bad plan :).

Detect magic is a s&#+ way to find invisible people, agreed. Every time you move the cone you have to start from scratch. Maybe you could all take your cloaks off and flap them around the room, looking for movement in the fabric. :p
