By the way, Valko, what route were you guys planning on taking to the Arvensoar? I'm assuming that, since its the most direct route, you would go west along Lord Mayor's March, then turn south at Avenue of Honors, before following the short, unnamed road west until you get to the Arvensoar?
Feel free to go to the roll20 link and draw in your route. I have the map there as well. If you could do the same for your route from the Arvensoar to Zograthy's, that would be preferred as well.
I need to know for.. reasons. ;)
In addition, the map is to scale - use the ruler tool to examine how long a particular route is. Took me awhile to get it right, but I'm quite pleased that its set up like that :D
Also, before I forget: As for traveling times, consider all major roads of The Summit to be kept clear of snow. Roads down on The Shore are kept less clear, and the group moves 25% slower as far as city-wide travel goes (Tactical movement is unaffected). Leaving the major paths of the Shore is not only dangerous, but slow, imposing a 50% speed in travel and may have a negative effect on tactical movement. As you can see, there exists no clear road to Zograthy's, though you can get fairly close via Splitriver Way.

Me too.
In case someone missed it, Hoosible offered to help one of the front liners use the Blood Reservoir. Any takers? Or I'd out just loot to sell?
Oh and Ferit, any reaction to the offered lilacs?
It has a duration, right?
Hoosible Drybriar |
The lilacs? Or the blood reservoir?
The lilacs definitely expire. The reservoir is something you need to charge (and that hurts you when you charge it) but that then keeps its charges until you discharge them.
Whoever wants the reservoir will need to decide when they want to charge it (and take the 4 CON damage of doing so).

Morning Guys, I had some things come up. Long story short.. I am back home and have access to the forums. Not sure how long it will last for, but while I am here no need to get e-mail updates. I'll let you guys know if things change.

Heh indeed! The group just got escorted out of the City Watch's headquarters after they tried to intimidate one of the clerks there. Uh.. didn't go too well, obviously, so now they're planning on searching for clues on the Nidalese slavers.
Since most of the group is good to go, I'm just waiting on confirmation from Wilhem that he's in agreement, since he's going to be the main guy of this activity.

Will have a condescending response of some sort pending from Valko soon enough. Paizo's technical difficulties prevented any posting before I left for work, sadly.

I'll likely be picking up a lot of skills as I level up. Wanted to focus on covering a lot of Knowledge bases to begin with. Will also be picking up the Investigator Talents that apply the free Inspiration (in effect, most of his relevant skills will be adding 1d6 to the result at all times). I am kindof wishing I had started with more social skills to begin with though. Did not initially intend for Valko to be so condescending and conniving, so I didn't anticipate how much use I would be getting out of them.

Oh hey, it looks like I made it in as an alternate for the Top 32 of RPG Superstar this year!
If you're following the contest, keep an eye out for me :)
Hey Rob.
I'm totally ignorant of this contest. Your line says Top 4. That sounds better than 32. How do I find out what you're talking about?
cheers

Awesome! Grats, man!
Jubal, there's a subsection of forums devoted to the RPG Superstar; they have one every year with a multi-tiered selection process, with contestants designing various things and submitting them for consideration. Kicks off with 32 selected Wondrous Item designs, then moves on to other things, narrowing down the list as it goes. There are tons of submissions though, so making it even through the first round is a huge accomplishment.

Valko can drop inspirations to add +1d6 to skills, even unskilled. Pretty much anything that's going to call for skill checks instead of attacks... that's what this character is built around. Combat effectiveness is next to zero.

When going in for an interview, make sure you smoke as much meth as possible. Drool marks on your application are a plus! A full roster of jobs you've been fired for due to an inability to work with others is a must. When shaking hands with your prospective employer, grip as tightly as possible, yank them towards you across the table and whisper gently in their ears, "The bacon will be mine."
Good luck :D
