I haven't no, but does it account for a Dwunderbran? It wouldn't just be a pain of the physical kind ... but also an assault to your nose, especially with the added fish stew too.

I try not to read other players back-stories as I prefer learning about them in character, gives it more of a authentic feel that way. Does that make sense?

By the time I heard about the WotW, it was too late for me to enter I believe. If you ever have a spot open, let me know! :D I have a few ideas floating around that I could easily fit into the campaign, depending on what kind of role is needed.

I'm particularly fond of my NE Gnome Fey-Blooded Sorcerer/Bloatmage, a fat little tub of lard who floats around telling other people what to do. :P

Oh nice lol. And Magnus will fight him later if he insists ist just the good of the people is more important to him than his own honor.

It does make sense, though personally I'm fond of reading backstories myself. I just keep it player knowledge.

And Dr. Logem is no stranger to such pains of the nose. He works in a prison, lives in the dwarven slums, and deals with drug addicts. Not to mention he's quite used to mucking about in peoples' innards. While they're still alive. Sometimes while they're not even sedated.

Well, it's not a dwarven celebration without a brawl of some color or shape. :D

We are quite full now, but I know you're an excellent writer that also is consistent with his posting, something that can be rare on the boards. I'll let you know if a spot opens up. Way of the Wicked was my first campaign to run and we just finished act 1. It has taught me a lot about how to adapt pathfinder from a tabletop to a pbp, and the work that goes into a quality campaign is staggering. That said, the amount of character development is so rich, I don't know if I could ever go back to a standard game.

@Lucent: Do I need final approval on the concept to start posting in the gameplay or shall I jump right in?

Gotcha! If you guys do ever get a spot open, just hollar!

And I appreciate the compliment.. I get my writing skill from my mother (Who is way better than me), who has a written a few small books and put them up for sale. I've helped her with ideas and proof reading (The latter of which I'm rather horrible at, as my brain auto-fixes stuff as I read it), so I've picked up on some of her skill. I might even look into writing my own book soon!

And I do agree.. its definitely far different in a PbP game than in a tabletop game. My group of friends who (used to) play PF in person played more for shenanigans than roleplaying, though we had a hilarious time none-the-less. Our games were more prone to puns and real-life shenanigans than staying in character. On these forums, its quite a different thing altogether! Normally I play a light-hearted goofball, but by sticking to my character's personality, I'm having a ton of fun playing darker characters.

Dr. Logem is turning out to be the darkest character yet! And now, its time to modify him a bit.. changing his crunch around a bit.

I wonder if Lucent has been keeping up with whats going on in the Gameplay thread lately.. so much chaos!

Man, you ninja'd your brawl post in SECONDS before mine did. Was going to nudge you with a lamb and basically ask you to do THIS.

XD Why am I not surprised.

Right now I'm kind of pulling a Muscle Wizard vibe.

Best. Spell. Ever.

I would love to join this game, as the idea behind it perfectly matches something I have been thinking about for a while, but unfortunately it looks like there are already too many players who are involved in the game.

I am also incredibly busy with other obligations right now and I don't know if I could keep up with the frenetic pace of the posts on here. Please let me know if a space opens up later on or if you start another game like this one, but for now I think I will have to bow out.

Enjoy the game everyone!

Nice Dwunderbran. Now lets rock.

I think Dr. Logem is starting to have too much fun. He's brought out the big guns. >.>

And here I was hoping to join in and talk about brewing practices or alchemy.. or even biology. But no, now I'm stuck with throwing mostly-empty barrels at people! :P

Yup. :P

Don't worry, it's after we've beaten one another half to death that we get to know one another. Efficient!

Rob's gonna come back and be totally flabbergasted.

Par for the course. What else is new, aye? That's what you get when you make an epic recruitment that involves NOTHING BUT DWARVES.

Yes, yes it is.

And IT in this circumstance is probably the best recruitment thread ever.

Considering that there are 7 pages of gameplay before the campaign has even started, this is definitely the best recruitment thread ever.

Ooh. Angrin's in trouble. Haha. I'll respond laters, folks.

Only FIVE MORE DAYS of gameplay to go, too!

1000 posts before the game starts? I think we can muster it. If not that, we will mustard it. And failing that, God help us, we must turd it.

One question though WHAT IN THE NINE IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE? YOUR BETRAYING THE DWARVEN SPIRIT BY SPILLING SPIRITS. YOU DRINK THEN YOU THROW. THAT IS ALL.

Note think loud howard from dilbert.....

But this is awesome and a blast. Dwunder your up

I picked a *mostly* empty barrel! Plus, how do you know I wasn't just trying to give Angrin some booze? From across the room! :3

Hey Lucent.. I believe your timeline in the original post of this thread is wrong. In the Reign of Winter thread, it says it takes place in 4716, not 4715.

Just a minor issue, but I want to get my own dates right in my background :D

You might want to re-check the RoW gameplay/campaign info stuff. I think I may have typoed 4716 in the recruitment thread for it, but all the dates in-campaign and in the "ruins" setting info show 4715 as present-day.

@Rob: Am I good to post with my application?

Hey just saw a mention that someone was waiting on me for a brawl or something? Goodness! I've only been paying tertiary attention to the gameplay thread as of yet, I don't plan on starting to look at RP and stuff in detail until after tonight (one of the many reasons I aborted the recruitment early, because I have a *lot* of reading to do.

I've read the off-handed posts here and there and have kept up on the recruitment thread, however. If you have a direct question or need clarification on anything that comes up in the gameplay thread, PM it to me to make sure I see it. There's a lot, lot, l o t of content right now and sometimes I miss stuff ;)

We're not waiting anymore on that, don't worry. The brawl has already started and is going on quite strong. :D

Then I don't envy your task of catching up, as things just went to a new Terror level.

If I'm not mistaken, I just laid claim to not only the first dwarf-pun, but the first appearance of unmitigated cheese cutting.

In short, the internets is mine.

Rejoining they fray in the mornin. No sucker punches while I'm asleep.

Back up Dwunderbran. And that was nasty. We are so bathing you once we knock you out.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Anyone takin' bets that Dwunderbran's making the first cut? LOL.

And Don't worry Magnus, I got a plan for the smell. Long as there's still some barrels intact...

i think only a fire could put that smell out

Every time I peek into the gameplay thread I smile.

You guys <3.

For what it's worth, I've been keeping a running tally of nonlethal damage in notepad so far. But I'm not tellin'!

*: although I will say heaviest hit goes to the dwarf-tossin' Dr. thus far.

I bet lol. I am going ranged combat myself lol. So I'm gonna be more the doge type in the end. Though I may dig up some more int just for skill points.

And I'm gonna be the one who's gotta blow all her spells patchin' you rabble rousers up.

GOOD TIMES.

I has clw too....

LOL, I wish I had a wacom tablet or a scanner so I could draw some people too!

Very nice Dwunderbran!

Dwunder. Holy s@!~, I f@$~ing love you for that drawing. Hahaha its awesome!

Do you mind if I ninja it for use as a profile picture on the DF forums?

So in the process of re-crunching Dr. Logem, I decided on a new, improved tumor familiar, as seen in my gameplay post. He can drop things on peoples' heads. That will come in handy. :3

The familiar even has the Valet archetype, so him 'refilling the tankard' to pour on Talon's head makes sense!

Chaos in the recruiting thread is going to make an entering post difficult....

Make a grand ol' entrance! Storm into the halls with horns announcing your presence!

I'll leave the trumpets blaring and grand announcements for Celeador's Princess from the East.

That's what I was thinking, honestly...
