Oh, ok. Those will work if you take the time to process the bullets before they are loaded. After the cartridge it wouldn't be a great idea to apply them.

You ought to pick up some Craft Gunsmiting or you want to sell those blanches. They cannot be applied to loaded cartridges and you need the skill to load ammo yourself (though I suppose Williamson has people for that).

can Tirion have previously purchased some blanche-treated ammo before depatrure -- as part of his preparations for the mission? Blanches are alchemical rather than magical; and given the nature of Alkenstar's neighbor to the south, I imagine such ammo is fairly common (especially to military persnnel)...

I can switch some skills around i suppose, i just figured since gunsmithing feat lets you make ammo with no roll and you give it up with Guns Everywhere it would be common knowledge on how to make ammo, just as it is to fire a weapon.. I have np switching some skills around though it you want me too.. If so its takes a DC 15 to make a crossbow bolt, would this suffice for Craft Ammo DC? If so i need just a +5 to be able to take 10, and i can get that by switching just 2 ranks around so no biggie..

No, the reason "Guns Everywhere" swaps out craft gunsmiting is that the assumption is that ammo is common enough that you don't need to know how to reload ammo.

We live in an era of Guns Everywhere right now (in the US at least). Do you know how to load ammo? I know most shooters, much less non shooters sure don't. Someone had to teach me how to do it.

I do in fact know how to reload ammo, I have a Hornady Lock and Load setup, with pistol and rifle dies.. But i get your point.. Ill switch 2 ranks around if a DC 15 craft check is sufficient to load ammo..


I think there were 2 reasons they gave gunslingers Craft Gunsmiting for free:
A) Because of the cost of bullets in game mechanics they wanted to make them manageable
B) In terms of historical accuracy it was a good idea because for early firearms the barrel calibers were not very consistent and thus to make accurate rounds you generally used your own bullet dies which were provided at the same same that your gun was crafted.

But you are a fairly rare person in that you know how to reload. You have to admit it isn't a completely trivial skill.

so Tirion has 5,055gp left, and I've updated his equipment list with 10 of each of the 3 types of blanched rounds, and 4 quickloaders -- each with 6 of one type (normal, Silver, Cold Iron, and Ghost Salt), loaded in separate quick-loaders...

5,000gp will be saved away, and 55gp for daily living expenses: A third of that is for booze, half is for loose women, and the rest -- well the rest is just wasted...

Quickloaders are not available. We're talking 1873 peacemakers (side door for loading, so speedloaders are not possible, we have not yet developed the swing out revolver).

Cool, yea my dad has always reloaded rifle cartridges so it was only natural that i picked it up.. I do agree though, it isn't something one just picks up in a day.. Alot of exactness to it if you want good, repeatable accuracy..

perhaps Tirion should take Rapid Reload (as a Combat Trick rogue talent) instead of Trap Spotter?

Honestly I doubt it's that big an issue since you ninja types seem more likely to be melee guys, but it's your build. Also the team does likely need someone for traps (well maybe, I haven't seen too many traps in this AP as of yet, but you never know).

I dont think we can qualify for the pfs portions as we're outside the guielines on some things.. Several things have been houseruled for example, although i wont tell if yall wont :)..

Tirion will retain Trap Spotter.


Actually you don't have to be playing PFS characters in an AP to get PFS credit. You can take a chronicle sheet from playing an AP and apply it to any applicable PFS character afterwards. I think this is a marketing tool for selling APs.
