Just to let you all know, I was travelling heavily 10/27 to 10/29, I'll be catching up on 10/30

I get to the airport at 4:30 Wednesday for my 6:30 flight.

United tries to get by cheap and puts just enough gas in the jet to make it to destination. They screw up, have to turn around once they make it to the strip, and then take 2.5 hours to fuel up again and take off.

The plane lands at 8:30 (this is the plane coming to where I am). They swear they will have us out of there in 10 minutes.

At 9:15 we take off. We land at 10:45. My connecting flight is at 10:55, and is in another terminal. I run to the train that connects terminals. I get to the gate at 10:58. They didn't hold my plane, it's against policy.

It takes me 45 minutes of arguing with them but they won't give me a hotel, because it was the weather, not them putting too little fuel or refusing ot hold my flight for 3 minutes. BS.

I get to the hotel about 1:30 (actually in the hotel room that is). I'm so afraid I'll sleep through the alarm at this point, that I can't sleep. So I spend 4 hours resting on the bed watching tv before going back to the airport for a 7:25 flight.

The 7:25 flight leaves the gate at 7:45. We take off at 8:30. I get to my airport at 9:20. It then takes me another hour to get my luggage (they got it on the plane that took off without me the night before!), and finally get my car and head off home. I run into traffic, and it's 11:30 by the time I actually get into my house.

I then promptly fall asleep in front of the computer trying to work after having had no sleep for 36 hours.

So yeah, sorry for not posting yesterday. I'll get posts up today sometime.

One reason I am quite happy I don't have to travel for work.

He first got a major work change which dumped more on him, and then he got surgery on his knees. I'm not sure when (or if really) he will be available again. I'm actually rather sick of recruiting so I'm just going to keep botting him.


I notice Bo and Narissa reloading all the time. While there is nothing inherently wrong with this, you are using guns with 6 and 15 round magazines respectively. It's rather unnecessary.

Fireing 2 shots a round I have 3 rounds before im empty.. If i use my belt to reload 1 shot as a swift each round i get 5 rounds of shooting before i must spend a move to reload them all..

Im not sure how Narissa is reloading a 2 hand gun as a swift.. I thought rapid reload made it a standard for a 2 hand firearm..

Narissa has a class ability that lets her treat a rifle as a one-handed weapon (move action to reload). She also has Rapid Reload feat, letting her reduce that to Swift.

I do the reload to get myself in the habit of thinking about it. Normally she uses lead rounds, and saves the steel/mithral/silver/blood crystal/etc for special fights. So far, she hasn't run into anything lead wouldn't kill quickly. Granted she's firing an elephant gun at it, so it's unlikely she'll need more than lead for awhile. With the reload, if I need to, I can fire two lead, then fire two silver, or two blood crystal, etc on following rounds.

I just realized its a move to reload an advanced 1 hander.. That makes it a swift for me to reload too.. My bandolier just became alot less useful..

Posting this in all my games, both run and played in.

As you all know, I've been rather busy and traveling a lot lately. This is going to continue for awhile. Hopefully I'll be able to keep up the posts. It's now confirmed I'll be going on an overseas job for 6 weeks at the end of August, coming back early October. I will hopefully be able to continue posting, but wanted to give advance warning.

I'll be 11 or 12 hours off my normal schedule, as I'm going literally to the other side of the planet. :) First trip to this area, so I'm not sure what the internet will be like, or even if I can get to Paizo. So if, after I leave, I vanish for a month, please don't give up on me, it just means I couldn't connect due to country filters or something.

BTW : Now that people have seen her in battle a few times, the following has probably become apparent :

1) Narissa ALWAYS goes the surprise round, even if she utterly fails a perception check (Class Ability - Sohei)

2) Narissa ALWAYS has a rifle in her hand, and if she doesn't, it all but teleports into her hand before the surprise round starts (Class Ability - Gunslinger, draw weapon as part of Initiative Check as long as at least one grit remains)

3) Narissa ALWAYS goes on Initiative 25 in the surprise round (Class Ability - Rogue, Snap-Shot, treat init roll as 20 in surprise round regardless of roll if you use a gun/crossbow)

4) Due to our teamwork feat, anyone close enough to her also gets to go in the surprise round, even if they wouldn't normally. :) So, those with low perceptions who might not go in the surprise round might want to stick close to Narissa.

BTW: Didn't plan that out, it just worked out that way. I wanted the unarmed strike ability, and Sohei worked better with gunslinger. Wanted the trapfinding and sneak attack from rogue for bonus damage up close. Snap-shot just fit in really well. :) I was kind of surprised when I realized what I'd done. :)

Is it just me, or does anyone else find it odd that all the ogrekin are deaf? I mean, between Bo's pistols and Narissa's cannon, we've shattered the windows in the building with the noise we're making, and the ogrekin never seem to realize we're coming.


Honestly THey should be prepped in some way but:
A) They have no talent for hiding.
B) They are dumb as posts
C) They are weak enough opposition that I just want this fight to end and don't fee like finding some way to make them credible when there really isn't one.

Though I will say there isn't a surprise round since it's not like you're being subtle here.

so i have decided that I will take the acrobatics trick next level, and then stay in ninja through level 11 when I will take halfling opportunist. (only slightly sucks cause the Defensive Combat training will be almost useless, but that is ok for the awesome halflingness that I will get!)

You're fortunate that it's an animal (vermin). Animals (vermin) tend to react to things leaping and screaming at them instinctively. Something screaming and leaping to land next to them when they're all ready to eat tends to unsettle them, so it might release you and regroup. Or at least concentrate on Narissa rather than biting.
