Magnimar is a big enough city for you to be able to buy pretty much anything you want. However unless you intend to spend a lot of time there sitting around, you cannot have items upgraded (it simply takes too long).
Bo, is that the bonus teamwork feat I gave out or one from inquisitor? If the former, then you cannot swap it out.
Robert "Bo" Hardin |
Can we buy different slot items to give boost like back in 3.5? Like gloves of con +2 or something similar? If not ill just stick with my dex belt..
And yes the feat i swapped in my Inquis bonus one. I have Look Out as well.. Its to good not to have anyways.
Tirion Took |
the Amulet's description is pretty clear in that it can only be used once per day...
anyway, Tirion's neck slot is dedicated to that Hand o' the Mage -- he gets a lot of use out of it!
so, Tirion sez no to the Amulet of Hidden Strength.
he certainly does buy Sniper Goggles, and gives Bandersnatch the Eyes of the Eagle. having saved up 15,000gp previously, he uses 5,000gp from the recent split -- this leaves him with 11,152gp to spend on other stuff.
I'll take care of his other purchases over the weekend...
"Bandersnatch" McTwilliger |
aw well. Ill buy it anyhow. Totally worth the extra two ki points I think.
Robert "Bo" Hardin |
WBL for 11th level is 82k.. Rough figures have Bo at 61k in gear. You really want me to add 21k in gear?
drbuzzard |
Yes. People running around with sub par gear screws up CR calculations.
Even if one doesn't like that aspect of PF, it is a core precept that you are assumed to have a certain quality of gear at a given level. It factors into your power level and hence allows for some attempt to figure out balanced encounters.
Robert "Bo" Hardin |
I would buy a +4 belt of dex over that Vuvu.. Give +2 hit vs +1 and reflex/ac/skill bumps..
Combining my remainder with 21k nets me 24850.. Buying:
Bane Baldric 10k
Jingasa of the Fortune Soldier 5k
Clear Spindle Ioun Stone 4k
Wayfinder to socket it in 500
Instead of +1 new armor, +2 new armor, 3k difference
Spend 1500 on Adamantine rounds however many that will get me..
Leaves me with 850..
Robert "Bo" Hardin |
Ah.. I didnt realize. If you relied more on damage over your sneak id say keen would be better than +1 to hit/dam.. 15/20 crit is nice.
Tirion Took |
with recent purchases, I show Tirion having about 68,000gp in value -- an extra 14 grand from Williamson would be handy!
Tirion takes great interest in Bo's wayfinder with clear spindle Ioun Stone inserted, and shops for a set of his own! 4,500gp
he'll also buy a 9,000gp +3 Cloak of Resistance...
The remaining 500gp goes for a pair of magic Leatherman tools (<magic Traveller's Any Tools>) -- one for himself, and one as a gift for his brother!
in light of the new cloak, Tirion should sell his Cloak of Elvenkind for 1,250gp -- that will give him enough for Boots of the Cat, with 250 leftover for travel expenses (scroll of Teleport or something...)
Draingore the Wretched |
Headband +4 Int 16000
Belt of Physical Perfection +2 16000
Amulet of mighty fists +1, Giant Bane 16000
Mithral shirt+3 10100
Bomb launcher 10
Masterwork Composite Longbow(Str+4) 800
Cloak of Resistance +3 9000
Dusty Rose Prism (Ioun Stone) 5000 +1 insight to AC

Bo breaks out his gun smithing kit and gives his gun a good cleaning..
Robert "Bo" Hardin |
Whatever you wanna do man..
MiniGM |
how about a couple phantasmal killers...
posting this here rather than in the other for you buzz
Buzz, since the only reason you guys croaked in the other game was because Zephyr got pissy she couldn't figure out the riddle, I will have a way for a res. Obviously it wont be on the aisle of the dead, but it will come. Normally I wouldn't do that but, that really wasn't your fault.

OK, everyone here has proven to be pretty reliable.
Got a game I'm in which has lost a few players and could use one more replacement.
Rules are:
4d6 drop low or 25 point buy, gestalt level 6, core classes only, archetypes are fine.
Not sure how the GM will do wealth since we've been going for a while, but we started at level 5 with nada.
Recruitment is here.
Right now we're down to a barbarian/ranger, monk/fighter and cleric/fighter. Used to have a sorc/rogue and bard/fighter as well.
Storyline is homebrew, but so far we're poking around Azlanti ruins in a race to stop cultists of Rovagug from ending the world.
Robert "Bo" Hardin |
You could go Pally 6/Sorc 6 and next level Prc Arcane Archer on you Sorc side.. That would be cool.. Id advise against Divine Hunter as reggie pally is better for archery..
Destined Bloodline would work well with the buffs to hit.. Fate's Favored Trait would go along nicely with all those luck bonuses as well..
Robert "Bo" Hardin |
No I didnt think you would, not with all the gun blasts and bombs going off.. Im amazed we dont have 1000 giants trying to pack in here..
We might have to back out if we're to let the healer and alchemists rest.. Im fine with moving on personally..
Robert "Bo" Hardin |
Most of us are from Alkenstar.. Gun blasts and explosions are the nature of the game.. A silencer will be my next big purchase though..

With what I had lined up, I'm pretty sure you were all going to die to a man.
When I warn a party about about a course of action it is because I am pretty damned certain it is suicidal. I'd done it before in my home games, and they didn't listen to me. Out of a large party, 2 lived by running (of 8).
After I have warned I party, I then don't pull any punches.
